All good just wished the main building was opened..& the Restaurant

AWFUL! HORRENDOUS experience!! STAY AWAY from this property. Had stayed in hotel over 10 years ago. New management is rude, has no idea what hospitality, customer service, accountability or hotel service is about. I travel often and have been all over island. Front staff was rude and manager was worst! Claimed she is the owner. Appalling. Demanded Covid QR code issued by government website. We came equipped with lab reports from US with COVID 19 negative results; passed the clearance at airport and they demanded more than that in a ride condescending way “ you can choose to cancel if you don’t have what we demand”. Hostile: we were with minor kids and they wanted a code for each one if us. I had to get humble and beg for them to let us stay and it was all prepaid for weeks . After all that: we were allowed to stay in humble accommodations ( outdated). Then next day we went to Palomino and upon return to property: key didn’t work: they sent someone over ( another rude woman to force us to sign a receipt); I said we are leaving and they wouldn’t refund money. As we’re packing: discovered safe was broken and my gold rings were stolen from safe. Had to make a police report which fingerprinted to safe. Useless as no one ever called back. They never apologized and never refunded money. Absolutely BAD: Horrific experience. Here we are at the HILTON treated like we should: as people. The Fajardo INN is expensive and should NOT be in business!!!! STAY AWAY!!! They must pay people to write reviews for them. Stay at Airbnb’s in area. We did the second night and huge difference.

First time here after 20 years working this territory. This is a space of heaven in earth. If you want to rest and enjoy a getaway this is one of those places. Its not a fancy hotel, but its the best place in Fajardo to have a good time. Fantastic Mexican restaurant with a good variety of food and drinks. For my surprise I went to the swimming pool thinking it was going to be cold, ha! Its a thermal pool. Nice templated water. It also has a gym if you work out. Fruity trees, surrounded by nature and beautiful view of Fajardo Bay.

The room me and my family went to was amazing, from the beds to the warm shower. It was everything I needed after a straining plane ride. I gave it 4 stars because there was no food and the snacks we bought at the small convince store were all stale and old. Other than that the room was great.

We stayed 4 days at Fajardo Inn. It was a great central place to all the activities we wanted to do and a really beautiful property. One of the staff at the Mexican restaurant let us know that the resort is 20 years old but you wouldnt know it with how impeccably maintained it was. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I have ever had, certainly NOT powdered eggs and frozen pancakes.While there we rented a car and were within driving distance of everything we wished to do. El Yunque National Park is about 20 minutes in between Fajardo and San Juan. The hotel desk staff booked us on a snorkeling adventure in Culebra that we may not have chosen for ourselves but was the highlight of our trip. Minutes away id Seven Seas Beach, recommended again by hotel staff, it is family oriented and you can rent chairs, umbrellas and anything else you need. We also did a Bio-Luminescence tour. Awesome dining options in every direction.The hotel is clean, quiet, excellent night sleep and an unbelievable value for the money. Highly recommend. We did go at an odd time, after the earthquakes and immediately prior to Corona virus. It was not at full capacity but not empty either.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The property needs some updating. The property did not look like the photos. The room did not have an iron or blow dryer. We were unfortunately traveling and stuck due to the Coronavirus. We had to leave the property due to strict safety rules, which were understandable. No late check out even though there were only a handful of people staying there. Again, staff were incredibly kind. The room was not worth the price.

We had a pretty awful experience at Fajardo Inn. My parents’ room had a broken toilet but nobody came to fix it. The ceiling started dripping in the middle of the night and they had to be moved to a different building. The new room had a plumbing issue and the floor was constantly wet with water. It wasn’t fixed, so my parents covered the floor with towels. At checkout, the manager said she’ll contact us about a partial refund, considering the horrifying experience they had. Nobody called. Sun umbrellas by the pool had no covers, so there was no shade. Staff at breakfast didn’t have the key to lower the shades on the roof, so all the guests squeezed in the tiny shaded area every morning. The breakfast area’s smoke detector battery beeped for eight straight days. Wi-fi was sporadic and was off at night. For a family of four, there were 2 towels; no clothes hangers; a coffee machine but no coffee. We had to ask for each of those. Ice cost a quarter. No hooks or rails for towels - not even for a hand towel. Half the time housekeeping wouldn’t get to our room by 3 PM and we had to call and ask for towels and toilet paper. And the worst part - housekeeping didn’t actually clean. I’m sorry, but after a week, a toilet starts to stink if you never clean it. There is so much more, but I think you get the idea. For a youth hostel, this would have been fine. For what we paid, this is an outrage.

Their is lots to do on the grounds of the property, 2 nice swimming pools, 3 restaurants we ate at 2 of them had very good food, their rooms were clean and updated. The staff was friendly and helpful. Their are a lot of things to do near the Inn as well. When we go back we will stay here again.

Great place to stay if you want to get away from the city. Surrounded by nature and the ocean. Definitely get a rental if staying here, it is isolated. Pool area was great, great view of the El Yunque Rainforest from the baloney rooms. Staff was helpful with activities. Only thing i didnt like was that you can hear everything from outside your room. Early mornings you can hear the cleaning people and other guess are loud during the night. You can hear everything through the walls.

Do NOT STAY HERE!!!!! Staff is extremely RUDE!!! Infested with HUGE Roaches!!! Offered us a third room and a third drive to the lobby! No compensation for our time and inconvenience. They said you can just check out! The guy named Angel wouldn’t even give us an email in writing promising a refund for our credit card In case of a dispute. Another lady named Limari was beyond rude. Very combative and argumentative pretty much asking us to live with roaches .

Our daughters booked the Farjardo inn for us. Its a really nuce and quite place with more than meets the eye. Down a walk way, theres a whole different world for adults and children. Theres a Bar in the pool and a mini golf course. Theres a Basketball and tennis court. Theres a Gym and laundry area. There is also a smaller Pool to relax in. I would come back. My daughters did well.

The overall property has seen better days however our room was fine. Unfortunately the lack of business at the hotel is probably a reflection of events affecting PR in general. The staff at hotel was not overly helpful or friendly...considering how few guests were staying at property we found this surprising. Yes I would stay here again because its a good deal.

Very clean and peaceful. Place is beautiful with an amazing view. Pool is nice. Some parts need some TLC, but understanding this island is still recovering.... its a place I will come back to with my kids!!

This resort is beautiful and has some of the best views of the island due to its location. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and affordable. The room service staff and hotel staff is so kind. The pool is large and very nice. They have so much to offer here. The restaurants here have great food and is reasonably priced based on the quanity and quality.

This property was poor. The staff were unkind and self centered on their own needs. The gym was open whenever staff wanted to use it. The staff seemed like the first were their for their own needs. The iguana resturant staff were no ce and food was good. The pool bar was always closed and when opened had nothing available from their own menu. No music, no vacation spirit or holiday. One very sad Charlie Brown tree in the lobby. Really sad!

My stay was wonderful with two beautiful pools to enjoy. The rooms should have a microwave. This way any food purchased can be reheated. Other than this everything was “wonderful.”

Bad service and arrogant staff, horrible attitude, female manager Need help badly how to take care guest, Poor communication skills and lack of hospitality, watch out for reservations online, they will charge your credit card once you arrive at location they will cancel your reservation saying due to COVID .. but won’t get an reimbursement, I been trying to get my money back when they denied me to stay even so I came from San Juan, I summited a claim to my AMEX as a fraud to this hotel and I sent a review to Trivago and trip advisor sites

Great service clean food / bar on site awesome pools

This was awful! The first night I woke up to a cockroach crawling on my leg! I tried to tell the staff but they were really rude about it. The second night I saw 3 more bugs.

I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We didn’t have any complaints. It was our first visit to Puerto Rico and it was just after a hurricane. The staff was very friendly. There were very few people at the resort, which made it nice. The pool area was a great place to hang out. We tried the Mexican restaurant in the lower part of the hotel. It wasn’t great. Otherwise, no complaints. We would definitely stay here again

Mini golf course is under par. Check-in was a bit of a wait. Ice machine is a quarter. Room was great except for the mosquitos. Views were great!

I made reservations for Fajardo Inn thru a third party website, for a stay from today 7/7/2020 thru 7/10/2020 at $150 per night + taxes and fees. When I arrived I told Sandra at front desk that I reserved a room for my 2 grandkids (9 & 14 year old) and myself. She looked at my reservation and stated that it showed 2 adults (must have been my error during my multiple search), and my room had a balcony and children were not allowed. She stated that I would have to pay an additional $49 per day (+ tax&fees) for a different room that can accommodate three people. She then asked me about my niece and nephew who were by the front desk with me. I told her they were my sister kids and explained that my sister reserved an Apartment at Peña Mar Ocean Club, they were not staying with me. This was an unexpected additional cost, so I told Ms. Sandra that I will check with my sister to see if 1 of the kids can stay with her and maintain the original reservation. Again she stated kids (14 year old) can not stay in the room and I still had to pay an additional $49 per night. ALL THIS WITH ATTITUDE. So I asked, what is the cancellation policy? She told me I had to call the third party company I used.I called the company and explained about the unexpected additional cost. The Rep asked me to hold while he contacted the front desk and attempted to negotiate a reasonable cost for the room.Five minutes later he comes back on line and tells me that Sandra, at the front desk, stated that I Was There Trying to Check in with 5 People when I Only Reserved for 2!! WHAT???? I explained to the Rep the same thing I explained to Ms. Sandra. Its my 2 grandkids and myself only. He apologized then said, he would call the front desk again. No one answered his called the 2nd time. By then my sister had joined us at the front desk. She was wondering what was taking so long. So I went to Sandra and asked her why did she tell the Rep that I had 5 people not 3. I introduced her to my sister and explained once again that the other kids belong to her and they were staying somewhere else. She then told me SHE WAS GOING TO CANCEL MY RESERVATION AND THAT I SHOULD LEAVE HER HOTEL. LEAVE MY HOTEL NOW.Im appalled, that this person who does not know me, would call me a LIAR and assumed that I was trying to get over just because I complained about paying additional for a room.At this point I dont know if Im getting my money back, but I rather loose $500 +, than stay at a hotel that threat their guests as second class citizens.

My experience was very poor. I and my family arrived on the 26 of this month, The receptionist was very nice named Angel now the same day we went out came back and my key card didnt work, we had ti wait for 15 minutes for someone to come and open the room door the the next day we went down to the pool and againg the card didnt work that was another 10 minutes for someone to come and let us in. Also we are the type of family we dont need anyoneo to clean for we let that known they still went in the room. Now the mattress was disgusting dirty for the amiunt we pay to stay there. The breakfast took 2 hours to get to us we kindly waited but we ended up leaving.

I would give this place 5 stars, except for one thing. Love the views, pools and staff is very friendly. However, the bird sitting in the cage up front broke my heart. He spends his life day in and day out in a tiny cage. I hope the owner reads this and takes him to a bird sanctuary where he belongs with other friends.

We stayed here for a week after attending a wedding that the hotel was accommodating. The wedding was lovely. All of the service we received for the wedding was fantastic; open bar at the Starfish Restaurant, cocktail hour (without cocktails though) at the Tropical Oasis, wedding reception in their hall, and breakfast in the Oasis room.There are two pools. My favorite was the larger one with a neat slide, basketball hoop, swim up bar (that was closed) and a smaller pool with attached seats. There are beautiful birds near the big pool. There’s mini golf (that didn’t seem to be operating), tennis court and basketball court as well as playground for kids. Very large space. My boyfriend enjoyed the gym.Our room only had a fridge but we made it work. Our toilet seat broke during our stay but it was fixed. The maids always provided fresh towels daily and toilet paper without us having to ask for it.It did feel like after the wedding we weren’t treated as nicely but the stay was nice. There aren’t many options when it comes to restaurants - the Blue Iguana is practically the only restaurant opened all of the time. The bartender there was excellent. I had a quesadilla and it was huge! I couldn’t finish it all but it was great. The Starfish restaurant has fancier food but it seemed they only opened it for events.It was a good stay. We definitely spent majority of our stay in the large pool. Played UNO’s on the picnic table. Visited the birds.Their transportation connection is really expensive though so I highly recommend renting a car (and not at their onsite rental location, they are pricey as well).I would recommend this hotel but it wouldn’t be my first choice if I returned to Puerto Rico.

Beautiful place, great outdoor amenities!

Rooms are nice. You get a coffee pot with no coffee. You may have to fix the leaking plumbing yourself. We did. No biggie. Food at the on site restaurants is good, but don’t expect good service. We were the only people in the place and they acted like we were invisible.The big pool with the swim up bar is open until 1100pm. However, only Fridays and Saturdays matter. Bartenders leave without notice and no music unless people are at the gym... at 9pm. But hey, thanks for the free drinks! Place gets 2 stars for nice rooms but their customer service sucks.If you’re looking to celebrate a special occasion and want to have fun past 6pm, stay someplace else.

Stunning location with an attentive staff and a pool to die for! Cant wait to go back!

Check in listed at 4pm. There was no early check in available. At 4pm, our room still wasnt ready. We didnt get in until 4:45pm. Check in was slow. The restaurants on property are ok (filling but not delicious) and priced too high for what you get. If you have a car, I recommend going off property for meals. The rooms overall were clean and the bed was comfortable.

Everything was nice besides the poor bird trapped in the cage up front 24 hours a day and 7 days week. We asked if the bird ever got out or was able to visit with the other birds below in a bigger cage and every employee said “no, he never gets out”.

I loved the location and the friendly staff. The room was extremely clean and the view was amazing.

This place falsely advertised that the pool with the swim up bar and snack shack is open daily! And the other pool doesnt have bar service ! When we checked in on a Tuesday we just wanted to go lounge ( you know, vacation) after a 4 1/2 drive. Front desk tells me it doesnt open until Friday and we leave on Saturday !We spent a lot of time researching properties and amenities before we booked this place only to be very upset for obvious reasons. Over 700.00 !!They dont care. Place was dead, toilet wont flush. Maid turned off the fridge twice and we had water all over floor, our cheese spoiled and beer we bought got warm.

Almost completely empty with most of the property shut down. Property no longer looks like website pictures. Someone came into our room while we were out hiking and took away all clean towels and wash clothes so that we had none to bathe with upon return. Restaurant was just awful. In a very dangerous neighborhood and is clearly unsafe to walk anywhere. Lastly at checkout the manager refused to honor the reservation package rate offered through their own website. Would obviously recommend steering clear of this property.Special which I had booked directly through the resort.

Woke up one morning, with little bites all along my foot did some investigating and found bed bug shell casing on the edge, spoke to the receptionists first thing she says is that they dont have bed bugs, posted this photo as proof to the fact that the room Im in has bed bugs, family owned but not clean! Then house leeping came attempted to make up a story stating that Puerto Rico does not have bed bugs but in reality the atmosphere that Puerto Rico is in they thrive in sorry to bust you guys bubble but better safe than sorry!

Decent place for the money . Staff was nice. I like a place with a cool lobby, none here Good location. Lots of cool places close by .

Customer service was unethical and unprofessional. Make sure you guys see the policy before anything. They charge me 1000 for my daughter accidentally pee on the mattress.... it was a very small amount. When we saw the mattress to see if it had more stains; it was filthy with blood stain old urine and who know what else. For the amount of money they charging for that mattress that’s should of been a brand new mattress. I believe they are taking advantage. I would t recommend this hotel. Please read POLICY before anything.Ps..... Policy is behind the door from the rooms which is crazy.

This was a convenient spot to stay after the Bio Bay tour in Fajardo.

Hotel has great potential but overpriced. Don’t expect the comforts that come with a chain hotel (coffee pot in room with no coffee, small charges for all amenities...pool table, lobby coffee etc). Customer service was severely lacking and restaurant service is slow. Left a bit disappointed as the selling point for this hotel (pool and pool bar) were closed both nights we stayed. They also chose to clean the pool at 10am when it was supposed to be opening. Hotel property is beautiful and well kept. However, improving customer service could make a large difference.

Beautiful! The view while eating breakfast was phenomenal! The service was outstanding! It would be a shame if someone didnt stay here! We will back next year!

The place is beautiful. The pools, gardens, recreational areas, and restaurants are all very well kept. The rooms are clean and super comfortable. The service is great. I would stay here again.

It was far away from any restaurants and we seemed to be the only people there. The facility was outdated and the restaurant closed earlier than advertised.

How can I start? I thought it was a normal Hotel but its mot. All the facilities are not close to each other. One have to walk. Even though I was there only 3 days the peiple were nice. The pool was amazing amd the food was very good. In conclusion it was a nice and relaxing conclusion.

For the price per night, I expected alittle more. Check reception was almost hidden away in a small room. Find it was difficult. Main gate was close so we had to drive around the resort to find the main bldg. Two pools which where nice, place looked clean. Room was nice, but bed squeaked.

While the views are beautiful the actual resort was below expectations! My biggest issue with this resort was the bed bugs!! They refused to acknowledge there was an issue even after we showed them the evidence! We even filed a complaint with our travel agency and management blatantly lied stating we never complained! This was our first stay and most definitely will be our last at Fajardo Inn!!

I like this place alot. It does give me a tropical feeling with alot of plants and fruit trees. This place is very big. 3 big pools. The restaurant iin there has the best strawberry daiquiri (food not so great).Things I didnt like were 1. The room was kinda old with ugly beddings.2. They let dogs walk loose around the fruit tree garden which scared me when I was touring in there. I love dogs but still scare if it bite me :(

Have not stayed there yet, did reserve a room for June, looks like a good place, 2 pools, bar/restaurant and large areas, miniature golf course and lots of green areas. Close to great restaurants in the area.

Probably wouldnt stay here again. Has a lot of potential. We were hoping to use the pool but it was ice cold. Bed was comfy but we had issues with hot water in the shower. Also felt overpriced.

Shower was lukewarm. Balcony door knob broke and wouldnt open. Difficult location. Pools difficult to access. Upstairs room with np elevator.

The stay was fine, until.i checked out friday morning to another hotel. i realized i left my sneakers, water shoes and 2 pairs of sandals that i had put in a bag. When i called the fajardo inn resort the girl on the phone told me she was going to ask the maintenance supervisor and by 1pm she was going to.let me know. Well she never called n so i call them and she told me the same thing. That she was going to ask the maintenance supervisor and that was the end of that.

Pool is very clean and its not overly full.

It was absolutely not what I expected . It’s a roach motel w a nice pool . However you can’t go to the pool because the outdoor smells so terribly . Had to leave and felt unsafe in many ways to stay w my small children there . The place seemed abandoned and rightfully so . They have a no refund policy because they know once you get there u will want to leave unless ur desperate.

Spacious rooms, 2 swimming pools, bar, restaurant, comfortable beds, friendly and courteous service. Great location. The only 2 things that are a bit annoying is that the air conditioning unit is on the wall in front of the bed, so the air blows directly on your face. The other thing is that the temperature indicator on the a/c unit it extremely bright, so it may bother you when trying to fall asleep.

This place was pretty fun to stay at. This place has a big pool and is easy to go to many beaches. The service is realy good to but I do not think the have breakfast. I do recomend staying here for a night or two but if you do stay be sure to check out their pet parrot and pool.

I had a very fun time with my friends and family but there wasnt a lot of choices on places to eat.

Very clean rooms and super friendly services

This hotel is overrated. For the cost - the rooms are not impressive. The entry and lobby have been updated to look very nice. But the rooms need a lot of tlc. We stayed on the first floor. The wood veneer was peeling off and the sheets and comforter was very old.Pretty view from the pool. But even the pool needs some tlc.

The place is nice, have a great pool. But the customer service from the assistant manager is horrible. Not even sure if she is a manager because the way she dresses, even housekeeping dress better than her. She talks to people in a manner as she hates everyone. I feel sorry for the people that has to work with her.

Love the pool and sooooo happy the poolside bar is now open!!!

Worst service at restaurant. We ordered 4 breakfast and only got three. The waitress didn’t even notice. Two thumbs way down.
