Always love this course...challenging but fun. Greens are in fantastic shape, and the beverage cart was around 4 times during our round. My only complaint is that there was too much water on the course, pretty muddy in w lot of spots. Great staff and a great venue all around.

The course is in great shape. Fairways, greens, and rough are nicely kept up. The only negative thing is, and nothing to do with course itself, is a marshall they have. He attitude and behavior is horrible. Nothing I have ever seen before. He can care less about people who come to play. And in his own words, I dont give a s**t if you dont come back. Unbelievable behavior.

Course layout is nice with a variety of challenges like water, trees, and elevation changes. Nothing outrageously difficult, though. Greens are also HUGE but dont let that fool you. Easy to 3 putt if youre not careful.

This is a beautiful course. The golf cart monitor should include a menu so you can order ahead as you finish up.

Absolutely Beautiful. Great Service

This is one of the most beautiful and best maintained public golf courses in the north Bay Area. An absolute treasure and great fun to play. Part of its beauty is its situation among the rolling hills outside of Fairfield, CA, making the course an excellent challenge for most golfers. Unlike many public courses, this one combines elevation, contour, and elegant design to make a fantastic playing environment. There is also an attractive clubhouse, pro shop, and bar/restaurant serving excellent food and drink. On a very minor downside, the practice putting green is much too sloped to be useful. There is a driving range, though the field slopes uphill, making it tough to judge accuracy and distance. And, lastly, like all public courses, the play is much too slow on occasion. I do wish the marshal was more than a mere greeter and goodwill ambassador. Someone with some authority should be out there preventing needlessly slow players from bogging down the game. But these are very minor issues. Overall, Rancho Solano is my favorite public course in the north Bay Area.

This was the first time playing golf at this course in the Fairfield area. Have played many due to the fact that my son lives here and I frequently come to visit. I most enjoyed the entire experience here at Rancho Solano. From the welcome at the pro shop to the starter on the first tee, everything was better than good. The weather was fantastic as well. For late February having 76 degree weather with no cloud was stunning. The fairways were in good condition as were the greens. They took me a bit to get used to but by the 10th hole I was happy with the read and the speed. My son and I played in 3 hours and 45 minutes. Once finished we went to the clubhouse for a drink where it was a lively place but the servers were attentive to ensuring we had our drinks quickly. I would recommend Rancho Solano for golf to anyone who is in the area.

Great golf and people.

There is an exeptional amount of thought put into a public golf course. I am amazed by the architecture and the amount of things you can do here. From a gym to a pool, and even a tennis court, it is a place for all.

Be sure to check out Rancho Solano if you are planning a major event. Suzy Silver, Director of Catering and Sales, is magnificent, and there is nothing she cannot do to help make your event go smoothly. Rancho Solano is an amazingly beautiful place, and the staff very professional. Their meal prices include everything, and they set everything up for you, and make it simple - and the food was spectacular. We held my husbands Celebration of Life there, and I keep getting compliments. I did not know Suzy before we signed up for the event, but feel like I have a friend now.

I came here for a training.the ballroom we were in got really stuffy and then I got really cold. The food that was served during our training was really good. I wish Id known there was an In-Shape on the campus I would have brought my clothes to work out

Beautiful course in great condition. One of the nicest public courses I’ve ever played. Great quality rental clubs as well. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable also good at keeping pace of play up. Will definitely play here again when in the area.

The wife looked up some well rated golf options within 30 minutes of where we were staying in Napa Valley. This was the second one we tried and we were very happy to play here. It is a mix of residential but they are also open to the public. The course was well maintained, including frequent cold water stations as well as clean restrooms on the course. No drink carts but the clubhouse prices were fine. We really enjoyed playing here.

Very beautiful location and area for events and special gatherings, like weddings. iDesign Events did a great job here with decor that it was unbelievably gorgeous. This golf coarse can make any event look perfect and well worth it.

We went to the childhaven holiday party. This facility is gorgeous.

Visited for a wedding. The location was lovely and offered an excellent photo location in front of a beautiful Willow tree. The food was great, however what earned my review was the exceptional service.

Terrible! Bar/coffee shop is dirty and guetto. The views are fabulous. They need to remodel that country club house !

This course is a very well maintained golf course where you enjoy the gorgeous views. My interaction with staff has been always positive. The weekend seems to be very busy. During weekdays, you can finish the game less than 4 hours. The course is not easy, but it’s almost impossible to lose your balls. We love playing at this course!

Absolutely Beautiful. Well maintained. Theres a Club house cafe available for lunch or a beer & wine. Spend time with friends on the golf course. Or get fancy, and reserve/ rent 1 of the event centers for celebrations that will be talked about for a very long time. Such an amazing view. Love the Fresh air and the picturesque views. We had our company Christmas party here. It was a great night to see all of my coworkers outside of work and having fun. The venue was a good size to have an area to eat, have a photo booth, and dance.

My favorite golf course. Best in class great service from entire staff from front desk to the cart barn. Very tasty food and great service .Would like to publicly apologize to Shannon for my rude behavior. I was thinking my bantering was in good fun....but now realize my inappropriate comments borderline harassment.Very sorry again for disrespecting the very hard working and professional employees at the Rancho front desk.

We love this golf course! A great layout, with lots of interesting holes. Fairways are generous, and the enormous greens are always very well maintained. Staff is friendly and the clubhouse food is good. Definitely a recommended tract.

Rancho Solano undoubtedly has one of the best view and conditions. Having played here many times I have always enjoyed the round. But unfortunately my last two rounds here has been a let down. Mainly because of how busy it was. Twice we couldnt finish the round. And both on the 17th hole.We tried to negotiate with the marshal to let us finish the round since its just one hole but was denied stating its a liability and the cart has to be turn in soon. But he said we are welcome to finish the last hole walking which doesnt make sense. The time was 6:20 and we still had plenty of time left before the sunset. My friends and i have always enjoyed here but after the last two experiences,we decided to give our business somewhere else. Sorry Rancho.

This is one of the best municipal golf courses that you can ever play. Its in better condition than a lot of private courses and it is very scenic. The greens are always challenging and difficult to read. Great place to play golf

This is the nicest golf course in the area. I like that its away from the city, so you get that country feeling. The clubhouse sports bar is nice, and the food is pretty decent. Price is about average for what youd expect to pay at a clubhouse. As for the golf course, its split between both sides of Rancho Solano Parkway. You get a nice view as youre driving up to the clubhouse. Lots of wildlife, youre almost guaranteed to see wild turkeys roaming about. There were even otters in the lake one time -yes, otters!

This course is a hidden gem, one of my favorite courses in the bay area!

What a beautiful course! It is surrounded by rolling hills filled with oak trees and was in great shape when I played it. There are some tricky holes but I really liked that it was playable. This was the first time I played here but I will come back again.

Love this course. Dont think youre gonna be able to walk it. Greens are huge and mostly fast. Four starts only cause they needed to over water it.

Most unfriendly golf course I have ever been to in my 60 years on planet earth. However I go there often because the Legends Grill is just the opposite and serves up great food and drinks.

Love this course. Beautiful views from the hills. Putting green is sloped and hard to putt a slight break or straight putt since most balls roll down hill. But they allow chipping on it which is a plus.

Grass was in solid condition. Booked online and time slot was ours and easy to play. (Bring cans not glass bottles)
