Fantastic store. Very good selection of fish. Excellent selection of fish keeping supplies. Staff was really helpful even though it got really busy while we were there.

Huge place with heart. They have a lot of selection, so many fish, with a wonderful (smaller) collection of reptiles. Ball pythons, boas, bearded dragons, leopard geckos, a lot of really great stuff. Employees are great and very helpful!

Great variety of fish and plants. Just about all the aquatics you can want and best variety I have seen anywhere around this area. Animals are healthy. Shop also carries a variety of reptiles with a extremely well knowledgeable and friendly staff! The only complaint and reason for 4 stars is the store needs a good cleaning. It is over crowded, dusty and has traded in aquariums stacked in main walkway. Presentation is everything. Dirty doesnt present well.

Great selection but prices are not competitive. Too high. On everything really. I know its hard competing with the big chain pet stores on prices but they need to just slightly tweak their prices down a little. I like supporting family owned small businesses but I am not going to overpay TREMENDOUSLY to do so.

Surprisingly huge inventory and selection. For fellow planted aquarium people, they have a ton of equipment I haven’t found readily available anywhere else in Ohio. Knowledgeable friendly staff. Between this place and Gerbers, us aquarists are absolutely spoiled here in Dayton.

Were new to this hobby but after only two visits here I love this place. Ariel was very helpful and saved us a little bit of money as well. Well definitely be coming back here.

They are great and have a better selection of fish and plants and one of the few that take care of their tanks and plant life! They are better then Gerbers and price difference is amazing! Please advertise more!!! And more sales! I also for the kids that help me but he was a great help and had some knowledge in his fish! He also was up front and was honest about what he knew and what he did not knew in the hobby and I appreciated that. keep up the good work guys

A lot smaller than pictures show. didn’t have much salt water stuff. the saltwater fish they did have were so expensive than other places and didn’t look any different or high end. coral was good looking tho

A lot of stuff but most of them are old. Some of the fish look like theyre suffering. The store is not very clean, bright, or organized. These poor folks are probably barely hanging in there.

Definitely one of the best selections of fresh and saltwater fish/inverts, with a bonus reptile room thats equally as impressive!! found a couple of creatures weve been searching far and wide for that were super excited about. chill, super helpful staff, one of which (bummed i cant mention him by name) gave us an in-depth personal tour of the coolest creatures they had and geeked out with us about every single one of them lol. well definitely be back, much love from cbus!!

Nice selection of fish some harder to find species. A little pricey but for the selection well worth it.

I have never seen reptiles in such bad set ups and so poorly looking. The piebald ball python was very thin, multiple layers of stuck sheds and eye caps, very bare and dirty set up and the amazon tree boa was in a bare enclosure and you could easily see his spine. I will definitely be reporting them.

Waited for 30 mins and no service. Another customer walks in and the guy waits on him. Guess I wont shop there anymore with service like that. My money is good at Gerbers!!!!

Staff is nice, but the Bettas are in very poor conditions and they offer smaller tanks when asked about size. Some bettas are in fish bowls even. I was gonna get a betta here, but bettas need to be kept in Atleast a 5 gal aquarium with heater and filter. I’m kinda disappointed that they aren’t suggesting that stuff. At this point I don’t know where to get bettas.

The reptile room had several sick reptiles. None of the animals had proper humidity. We were sold a wild caught fish without the employee who sold it to us informing us. I only found put after I had looked more into the species and found they cant be bred in captivity. Several fish tanks were labeled sick. The decorations were overpriced and when i asked for a discount for one that was damaged I was told they cant do that. I was interested in buying poison dart frogs and could not get the staff member in the reptile room to help me. Only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because the employee who was in the salt water tank section was very friendly and obviously cared about the fish.

This place is amazing! This was our First time visiting the store today and the staff was amazing so friendly and helpful. We left with more fish to add to our tank and a beautiful healthy bearded dragon and we could not be happier! We will definitely be back, customers for life! Highly recommend!

Place has went down hill by miles vs what it was when it started . Avoid corals here they are full of aptasia and bubble algea . Also the staff are way under educated outside of brandon and lee . They have ok selection but your better off to drive to moraine to the competitor

Really cool place and enjoy some of the items that they carry equipment wise that their competitors do not carry. However I do question some of their pricing. I was in the market for a wave pump for my marine tank. They unit I was interested in was on their shelf for $135 bought mine off of Amazon for $42..........

Great variety of product and very cool selection of salt and fresh water fish!! Also carry small pet supplies. And they do payment plans on tanks and accessories. We also like to come in and see what cute cats SISCA brings Im that day! Wonderful staff and very informative. We go at least every two weeks for crickets and feeder fish.

First time going here today and the experience was great! Good workers that care about their customers and their fish! Very polite and caring people! Good deals! Good selection of saltwater and freshwater fish. Lots of equipment for aquariums and everything you need from aquariums to fish, decorations, live and plastic plants, live rocks and even some reptiles. Worth going to and taking a gander.

The staff is very knowledgeable on everything and hands down best pace for all your aquarium needs. The fish are way healthier and more colorful than what you would find at pet smart or any other chain store. This is the only place I go and travel over an hour to get there since I moved.

Amazing place for both salt & fresh water fish and supplies. They have a great selection of slat water fish and corals and are decently priced.

I was in the Dayton Area today and decided to stop in to check them out. Large store with a good selection. The only negative was the same as I would say of most LFSs, it is not a place you are going to tout for being pristine and shiny clean. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. They had just about any supplies you could want/need. The prices were VERY reasonable. I noticed a few specifically just because i orders some stuff from amazon recently. Prime on Amazon was $13.60, they had it for $14.99. I think that is pretty good since the closest LFS to me is selling it for $21.99. I would recommend them.

We just went in to browse and get ideas on a saltwater tank. The 2 young men were helpful and friendly even though we told them that we were not buying today. We definitely will be back when we are ready for our tank.

The staff are very knowledgeable and go out of their way to help you. This is the store in Dayton where you want to go for a good selection of specialty substrates, various hardscapes, and equipment that you can only find online typically! I was amazed to see products in the store that otherwise need to be ordered online for aquascaping! They do have a good selection of livestock however it seems many of the tanks are quarantined or full of algae when i have been there. None the less, definitely worth the visit!

Great place. These guys will help you any way they can. I buy from them and I sale back to them, they have trade in programs and if your aquatic pets get to big for you they will help you find new homes for them. These guys really are helpful in many different ways and they have a love for aquatics you wont find at the chain stores where the just want to make a sale

Been to this store several times over the last year. Have never seen a fish healthy enough that i would want to buy for my tanks. Today was the worst visit ever- dead eel floating in the tank, multiple injured/dying/dead fish in the marine tanks. The staff is always friendly and helpful and a very good selection of dry goods, but when it comes to purchasing fish, a disappointing place. Being this close to another awesome fish store in Moraine, i cant imagine why anyone would want to patronize this establishment for live goods.

When you go here youre going to get what you pay for. Great staff, great company, they can answervall your questions and of they cant they will fond someone that can. Never a wait, even if there is a wait there is so much to look at here. When there really is no other place like this around. Go here. You wont be disappointed. Prices a re reasonable, little higher on some things but like i said you get exactly what you pay for all animals are well taken care of.

The staff was friendly and their stock was plentiful and seemed healthy.

The customer service here is pretty solid. Over the couple of years Ive been going now, there is one specific employee who I often hear say extremely incorrect statements and not all of the employees are on top of the whole asking people if they need help thing. When they do talk though they are friendly. I just recommend double checking what they say because of this one person. The prices are okay and better than the main competition (Gerbers Tropical Fish) on most items. They do have an amazing selection of hard goods that far outweighs Gerbers. They also carry reptiles and reptile supplies. The reptile stock is okay and the care is acceptable. Its also not uncommon to see fish tanks crossed out with the words sick written on them. While I appreciate them not selling sick fish to customers, the location is big enough that with the frequency at which they have entirely sick aquariums they should have a quarantine system to put new fish in before selling them.For them to rank five stars, Id like to see them be really on top of their customer service (not far to go for them) and most importantly, not have sick fish on the sales floor.

The young guy who helped me was very knowledgeable and very helpful especially how pickup I am to get a specific fish out of the 50 in the tank . It seems there has been an improvement with to the freshwater fish in the seepast year or so, they werent having much in stock awhile back. I do wish youd remove the newly refrshed children must be accompanied by parent sign -- I grew up visiting my LFS alone and thats why Im in the hobby today, I hate to see kids deprived of that because of a few bad apples.

This is my goto place I love the staff and everyone is very smart and knows what they are talking about.

I bought a used aquarium there. I dont no where she gets Craigslist at. and i got a air pump and a hang on the back box filter that did not work. The girl that said she was the manager would not do anything about it. They were not the ones that was suppose to come with the aquarium. I believe the guy in there would have worked with me. I thought I found the perfect place for me. Guess I was wrong.

To start, this was my first visit to this store. They had a wide variety of freshwater fish but many of them were sick with ick and fungal infections. They also did a poor job at labeling the fish and their prices. Moving onto the saltwater section, they had an Amazing selection of coral and crags, and some fish, they mainly just had clownfish and expensive triggers/Angel fish.[NEXT PART IS WHY I RATED LOW] After i saw the saltwater part, I made my way to the lizard and rodent section. This was by far the worst thing Id ever seen. The reptiles all had dead crickets, no ventilation in the tanks and worst yet, all of the water bowls were filled with very old water growing a skin of mold on the surface. Most of the reptiles were very inactive and the smell of the room smelled like multiple things dying or had been dead. Along with this, their rodent section was horrifying, theyre were rats and mice all cramped into 10 or 20gallon tanks with roughly hundreds of them in there, none of them had water and only 1 tank i saw had a bowl of food, none of them were active either, they were all very sluggish and this too also smelled like something had been dead for awhile. The only thing I feel this store was great for were the coral frags.

They have a nice selection of tanks for fish reptiles etc and accessories along with different kinds of fish. Awesome place to find what your looking for. Even dog and cat accessories.

Im all about supporting small business but 2 out of the 3 things Ive bought from this store (plant, two fish) have died within days of me having them (the plant and a fish). They dont do returns or guarantee their fish. I may go to them for food or aquarium supplies but Ill think twice before buying something living from them.

Staff is friendly. Many options of freshwater and saltwater fish. But sometimes its hard to find the fish since many are housed in the same big community tank. They have live brine shrimp, worms too.

Bought two rummy nose tetras quarintines them a few days added them to my well established community next morning ich outbreak took out my how tank my fault for not quarantining longer but that was a big total loss. I called the store they said it was store policy not to warranty fish. I have to call back an speak with the owner to try to fix my problen but thought everyone should know

Great local aquarium store with knowledgeable staff. Very large selection of freshwater and saltwater supplies that are reasonably priced. Coral is a little pricey but understandable for a larger place with more overhead cost. Have not purchased fish from here but they seem to have a good selection of all sizes.

Need more selection of saltwater fish. But other than that good place for aquimum items.

Best place in Ohio for all aquarium needs. Also We get our pet food here.
