Great place, super friendly helpful staff. My son and I went in on Sunday, and this was our first time doing the VR experience. They helped us get set up, showed us how to use the controls and checked in periodically to make sure we werent struggling to use the system. Very fun. Even more fun and immersive than expected. Definitely recommend, and were definitely heading back soon!

Ive got nothing but good things to say about this place. Ive enjoyed it myself on a date night for anniversary, as a parent with kids participating in summer week long camp, then bringing them back for extra play time as rewards for schoolwork, etc.The staff at ASVR are really friendly, helpful and just nice guys all around. They dont treat people who are clueless to this kind of thing with any disrespect and genuinely seem to care that you have a great time.I wish I had time to frequent their business more regularly, but Im glad theyre here and always look forward to the next time we get to go.

Really neat gaming lounge. Staff was nice and helpful. Would be going back. The place is clean and have comfortable couches to seat. My kids loved it the most. Several game options to pick from and if unsure, the staff was there to help.

SO MUCH FUN! I loved playing the beat saber game. It is a wacky combination of light saber dancing and exercise. I highly recommend checking out Arctic Sun VR when you want a break from the hot days. They have over 90 games to choose from. I even got to play a two player game with my friend where we had to escape from a broken down spaceship in zero gravity. I cant wait to go back.

Arctic Sun VR is great! We had our kids birthday party here and it was fantastic. Everyone had a great time, even the adults enjoyed getting in on the fun. If you havent been there yet I highly recommend that you try it out.

I had my Bachelorette party there and it was amazing! The staff are friendly, and the games are fun, especially with multiple players. If you need to take a break, there are couches to sit on and there are screens above every player so you can spectate. All in all, a fun experience. I would definitely recommend.

Arctic Sun VR is awesome. Did some competitive VR shooters here with the Arctic Gamers. It was a great experience well worth the money! 10 out of 10 would virtually shoot and yell at my friends again.

I took my son there for something different to do and now the whole family is going. Its a really cool experience and while not cheap, definitely worth the price.Update: took both daughter and son a couple months ago, and daughter and her friend tonight to shoot orcs and zombies. Again, had a great time and we loved the new wireless system, even though it can be a headache for the staff- we love it! Awesome place to kill a couple hours! Cant wait till the 3rd racing chair is active- well be back for that!

I visit Fairbanks every six months or so. Weather permitting. However, weather permitting or not we always make time to go to Arctic Sun VR. My boys absolutely have a blast. They are about five years apart but when the VR set is on they are just about equal. Which is really fun to watch. We enjoyed Arctic Sun VR so much we purchased a PSVr for the boys last Christmas. Even with that at home it’s still not as much fun as taking the boys and their friends to VR. Arctic Sun is clean, friendly, helpful, and good quality fun. We’ve been going there since they first started. The Arctic Sun guys have given us excellent customer service from day one. Over the last few years the company has just gotten better. Equipment upgrades at the new building, and faster smoother gameplay. Great place to spend an afternoon.!!! Highly recommended!!!

Arctic Sun VR offered free passes to Big Brothers Big Sisters - a community based organization that sets up volunteer mentors with a young person. My Little Sister LOVES her computer games, so I went with her, for her. The staff member who helped us was friendly, knowledgable about fitting the VR gear onto kiddos and awkward adults, and had great social skills in being able to talk with 42 yo me and my 10 yo companion. To see the look on Floras face when she put the VR goggles on was priceless!!! Flora played a few of the games, and ended up loving the paint-art game. I figured out that I fail Jeddi Knight school, that I suck at jumping back and forth to stop a moving wall from hitting....however, to my surprise, I just freaking LOVED the boxing training game. I got to punch big punching bags, the little punching bags that come flying at you the harder you hit them (remember to use your legs!), and dummies. Covered in sweat....it was satisfying for me. Even though we were each having our own experience, it was definitely a shared experienced. We could also see on screens what the other was doing/playing with/creating. We could hear each other gasp and squeal and giggle. Overall, I highly recommend this experience!

We love to go as a couple and play the multiplayer games lots of fun and staff is always friendly and helpful in recommending games and helping get set up I recommend trying this at least ounce it is pretty neat

My wife and I wanted to try something different for Date Night and this was THE BEST TIME EVER!!! Clean facility, friendly and knowledgeable staff, great personal experience. This is our new FAVORITE thing to do. Were so happy with the new location right across the street from Regal Theaters. Cant wait to go again. Also, dont worry if you wear glasses. We both do and it was epic.

We came to Arctic Sun to experience a VR arcade for the first time. We came back a few days later; both times we had a very enjoyable time! The next time we are in Fairbanks we will very likely pop in again.

The staff is wonderful and super helpful. So much fun!!

Its pretty small and you play by appointment. Upside to that is you wont have a crowd watching you considering everyone can watch you play. Another plus is you can get assistance very easily if you arent experienced. Downside for me was that my motion sickness kicked in and had to cut my playtime short. If not for getting queazy, I would of had a better time.

This is a great spot for those awkward first dates. No long uncomfortable gazes into each other’s eyes BECAUSE YOU CANT SEE EACH OTHER! You can talk to each other and smell one another’s “do they like me or do they not” musk. Highly recommend wearing clean socks. Don’t pull those crusty socks from the bottom of the basket you will be required to remove shoes. 10/10 would recommend.

Really cool facility to go experience VR. My girlfriend and I went on a date here and thoroughly enjoyed our hour in virtual reality together. It was easy to cycle through the games offered and the top of the line equipment made the experience worth it. I’ll definitely come again the next time I’m in Fairbanks.

So much fun for kids and adults alike!!

The kids love coming here (they dont know we have VR coming for Christmas, plus we tried this to endure we (wife and I) were ok with getting the PSVR. My issues: Never staffed with enough people to keep things moving efficiently. One person to do the orientation, briefing, set up, cash register and responding to issues. This Ill cover in a moment. You are issued a 55 min block of time, if seen it typically takes 10-15 minutes to get a group through, including the constant running back and forth of the representative helping with questions or configuration issues. By the time things are moving you are typically 8 to 10+ minutes into your time. Now back to the issues Ive been there 3 times now. Every single time there has been computer or software issues. Ive heard the software update excuse, license didnt transfer excuse and huh, thats new/weird, just keep trying and let me know if it doesnt work the arcade isnt open all morning, until around 3pm weekdays, Ive worked in IT and can say that by now, they should have had these issues resolved, but as Fairbanks is known for... Where else are you going to go?Ive gone enough to give the kids a giggle and compared it to the PSVR. We purchased the PSVR, and recently the equipment they use (HTC Vive/Vive Pro) have dropped so much in price, we may be getting a Vive as well (Christmas). On our last visit I REALLY wanted to do Beat saber with larger song selection, but the one we had on our PSVR seems to be better. They could have downloaded a larger library but are coasting on the fact that they are the only trick pony in town.I will agree that their hardware is better than the PSVR, but Ive only noticed the difference in how well the lighthouses for the Vive work for tracking and maybe the image quality. But when in doing my Jedi training (Beat saber), Job Simulator or Gran Turismo VR I dont notice a significant difference.So, in summary. They need at a minimum, 2 people at the counter art ALL times and need to get their hardware issues resolved.

My teenage son wanted to have a low-key bday here. He enjoyed his vr time and even extended last minute to play an extra hour! Yesterday, June 20th, was the first time Ive visited since the moved to Airport Way. That was my 4th visit so far in total. Id visit more but I moved states and make it a point to come in when Im around. The VR experience is a must for everyone. You dont need to be a gamer to enjoy Virtual Reality. The facility is perfect for parties, date nights, and family outings. You can play game with your friends, by yourself, or online with strangers out for your blood. Some games are harder then others to learn so they have a wide verity for every player.They are also offering a summer camp program for kids that lets them learn and experience history as if they where there. If you have kids contact them for more information they just got the brochures in. The first session starts July 15th.

Everyone should go check this place out. The kids love it!

James is the man! We had a fixed schedule that would have prevented us from going during normal business hours, but he was kind enough to open the place for our group. He helped us get all set up and was there if we needed anything throughout the time, and his space is really nice.VR is something I think everyone should try at least once. Im not a gamer, but its a totally unique experience. Id highly recommend going with some friends and doing a group experience, as that was our favorite part.

I went with my brother to celebrate his birthday and we both had a blast.Update, I have gone again since they moved into town, the selection of games has grown but the new design does seem to lack the privacy. If they have others already playing I imagine the noise level could be a bit distracting.

This is one of my favorite places to go. The staff and the room set up top notch. The only issue that Ive run into is if you get motion sick you will want to take some dramamine before hand.

This place is the next level in arcade entertainment. A high class establishment that is great fun and a must visit for anyone into video games. Wednesday is multi player day with big discounts on game play.

This is a GREAT place to hang out!We had a nice private room with two VR stations and plenty of space / seating for our group (5). We swapped out over the hour we had booked and even extended our time. The prices are fair, with lots of options available through the week and a good selection of games. Very clean and well kept! They’ve thought of everything.The intro video is hilarious, just gold. Lol. The owner is fantastic (thank you James!!) and helped us noobs get set up, answered all of our questions and walked us through everything. Alright. Im gonna keep it simple. The Owner: A guy who is humble and is there to help YOU have a good time. Nothing but politeness, honesty, and constant helpfulness. The Area: Its off the beaten track, so chances are, you call an hour ahead, your slot is locked down and ready for you to virtually throw some arrows into orcs. The Games: Ill put it this way, youll waste ten minutes of your paid for time looking through the games if you dont Google search VR Steam games. This man has hundreds and hundreds of games to choose from for any number of people to have fun. The Price: Its not super cheap, but it isnt expensive. If youre military, you get a 10% discount on any package. If you ask him about weekly deals, he will legitimately tell you the cheapest nights he has for booking. Dont waste money anywhere else. This is the real deal and you will have your expectations blown away.
