Beautiful in both winter and summer. Groomed ski trails in winter are excellent (but a little hilly!), many are lighted. And they are fun to bike in summer! Disc golf and running are also available summer activities.

Great place for a walk and run, with different lenght you want. The birch trees are beatiful.

Birch Hill is incredible for year round outdoor activities. The disk golf course is amazing! Lots of ski trails for winter and hiking trails in summer, highly recommended place to visit any time you arw in Fairbanks, Alaska!

Disc golf was awesome! Not sure that I like the fact that horses use this as a trail. Watch your step between the dog and horse ish laying everywhere

Kids are in ski lessons here. If you havent been up here, you need to check it out. Very nice facilities, great trails, great fun! Thank you to all of the volunteers and workers that keep this place so well maintained.

This is such a great place anytime of year. The summer is great for walking and enjoying the sunshine, the fall has spectacular views of the changing colors of the foliage. The autumn yellows and oranges really pop against the hill and it’s great for family photos. Winter and spring are fantastic for cross county skiing. Good for all levels of skiers. Nice warming hut as well. Lots of parking but can get busy during peak season.

Configured for cross country skiing and also disc golf. Trails are not rough ground but very nice up and down slopes for a workout hike. Trails reasonably well- labeled. Beautiful woods. Easy to access.

The expanse and shear natural beauty make you feel like youre deep in the wilderness even though youre inside city limits. They have a huge network of trails for running dog walking or whatever you would like nestled all over the hills. There is also a disc golf course that is rather challenging. And of course everybody knows the ski area in the winter time. A beautiful safe place to take the family and enjoy some wilderness for the afternoon!

Always so much fun best groomed in town too it really doesnt get much better than Birch hill

We loved and utilized Birch Hill every winter. Great place to spend any extra time one had and get onto the slopes and hills. Fun. Affordable. Definitely a Fort Wainwright/Fairbanks experience. I also enjoyed parties and weddings at their facilities. Great place.

Best location in town for xcountry skiing, they groom their trails more than anywhere else. Added bonus: the inversion frequently causes warmer temperatures on the cold winter days.

Nice rec area. Groomed cross-country trails in the winter, and frisbee golf, walking, and running in the summer. The facility is pleasant also--lots of daylight, affordable rental fees, and convenient location. Lee, the boroughs coordinator for the facility, is great to work with.

World class Cross country skiing trails. From beginner to World Cup level! Nice lodge and Ski Hut with restrooms and changing rooms. Trails maintained by the Nordic Ski Club of Fairbanks. Donations for use highly recommended but not required.

These trails are fabulous to run in the summer and ski in the winter

In the summer these trails are great for running, mountain biking, disc golf or just walking your dog. In winter the Nordic skiing is some of the best in the Alaska! There is a ski hut open 24/7 with restrooms, and a large challet is open 10/6 during the winter. The challet can also be reserved for weddings and other events!

This place is amazing, wonderful views, great service, the slopes are amazing. My favorite part is going to the top and looking as far as I can see the absolutely beautiful sunset and landscape.
