A beautiful and extensive garden. We spent hours exploring. The weather was wonderful, and even though there were a fair number of other visitors when we were there, the grounds are expansive enough that we never felt crowded.

Loved bringing my kids here! We have a super tiny yard at home, so its wonderful to bring them here and let them run free, up the trails, and explore. ️ There are cool sculptures, beautiful flowers, little frogs, and at the very top of the trails a cool spiral sculpture. My youngest did come back with a small patch of Poisen oak, and the rest of us got lots of mosquito bites, so dont go off the trails and definitely wear bug spray.

Delightful garden with many well paved trails and meandering paths. A great way to spend the day in fresh air as you explore the various plants contained in well groomed beds, or various flora and fauna in their natural hillside habitat. This garden has gentle and more robust terrain. A local jewel.

We really enjoyed visiting here. There are lots of paths and the fall tree were pretty. They have benches all over the place and its nice to sit and enjoy the scenery. The only bummer is that we discovered this place too late for the butterflies but there is always next spring!

Great gardens. If youre up for a short hike, there is a Zen laberynth thats pretty cool. Check the map out as you go through, more map kiosks would help. CR students get in for free, and the last Thursday is free to all.I personally would like to see more markers for the specimens there with both the common name, and the scientific name, and if the fruit it bears, if any, is edible, or toxic.I dont know if there is a medical herb garden, but if not, that would be an excellent addition to the gardens. If youre looking for a nice little walk in the gardens, then this is the place for you.

This is one of Humboldt countys hidden gems. A truly beautiful horticultural oasis in the middle of Redwood country. I have visited many botanical gardens during my travels but have never encountered one on a rural area that is so well developed and maintained. We go for events and other activities that occur at the garden grounds during the year. It is truly one of this regions most beautiful formal garden settings and merits a visit.

This place is a treasure in many ways. The reason for the three star review is the lack of accessibility on the trails and the lack of signage in the gardens.I walked by several flowers that I would have loved to know the name of but there were no signs available.the garden is large and fine if you can walk but if youre in a wheelchair or pushing a stroller you will miss most of it. I think that needs to be fixed.
