Very nice, well maiaintained trail just off of Bailey Hill Road. The views at the top are beautiful. Mushrooms and lush vegetation line the trail, and if you look hard enough you can find some running water. Wild kitty cat spotted on my walk, pretty cute, but was unable to make contact as the kitty was spooked. Definitely a great place for a nature walk. Only downside is only one bathroom and poor parking lot.

Great trail, close to town, lovely western views. Many tree species to admire. I heard an owl as I was leaving, coming from the forested hillside to the north. And alpacas by the parking area! Did I mention its free?

Nice quick little hike. Loops around. Beautiful scenery. A little rocky in some areas but overall wonderful hike.

Wild Iris Trails are well maintained & provide several options in regards to views, difficulty, and distance. From the trailhead there is a section of trail that leads up through the trees. There is a gain in elevation from the parking area to the ridge that will raise your heart rate a bit. The trails are used so expect to see others enjoying the outdoors. Pups are allowed & should be kept on a leash. Trails are available to use throughout the whole year.

Nice hike. Roughly 1.5 miles to the top and bottom. Easy to do in 30 minutes if you are looking for a easy hike with spurts of moderate inclined. I recommend going in early in the day or evening as there are large portions without protection from the sun.

Pretty, family-friendly hike. Lots of uphill though. Dogs are welcome on leash. Easy to get to. The parking lot is small and it’s popular on weekends. The trail seemed very well maintained.

Really great trail with nice views of South West Eugene. Only downside is the rocky road that leads up to the nicely manicured gravel trail. Its muddy and not fun to walk on.

Beautiful place for a short hike through groomed meadows and glades with gnarly trees. You can do a almost three mile in and out hike or add the loop and get five miles. The paths are wide and well-groomed overall but about 1/3 have large pebbles that can turn your ankle if youre not careful. my only issue is that I was hoping for a hilltop destination with maybe a picnic bench and a view.

Great sun and shade hike for those over the usual spots. Not ADA accessible, but *might* take a single wide jogging stroller with some occasional finagling on loose pebble and loose rock paths along the route. Lots of friendly neighbors, dogs, and kiddos. Parking can be a pain at peak times. Porta-potty available.

Awesome, well groomed trail. Great Walk, but people tend to not follow the leash law and it can make it less enjoyable. Also, the large gravel sections are crazy hard on bad knees.

Hiked this trail on wednesday from about 4-6pm. This trail was hard for me. It’s a climb. It’s a clean trail and pretty, was also a bit crowded but nice people and lots of dogs on the trail. Probably easier for people in good shape.

Nice walk with a pretty good workout. Probably not the best for a hot sunny day as much of the trail is not shady

Review №31

Close to the city and a good climbing elevation so its great for a short hike and convenient but its extremely Gravely and still under development it seems like. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a short hike with kids or a dog but not for anyone who might have trouble with loose ground or a steep climb in places. All in all you get a beautiful view and a moderate amount of exercise with some good fresh air!

Although the first part of the trail is surrounded by telephone wires and a pretty poor view of Eugene, once you get to the top of the ridge, the trail on the back side is incredibly gorgeous, mysterious, and enchanted. Dont miss out on this gem!
