Cute park, but there were homeless people sleeping on the slides and their stuff packed under the bigger play structure.
Too close to tacovore. Miss papas soul food. Nobody can afford rent here anymore. Its really sad to watch so many people fall into homelessness as craft beer raises the rent prices in what used to be an artistic and diverse neighborhood. People really are cruel to the poor these days. Not a great park for kids. Wear shoes.
Clean and private.
Its fine, a little nice city park when homeless people arent sleeping in it and leaving trash...
This place would be highly convenient except there are homeless sleeping everywhere and they were literally being hostile to my baby less than 6 months old and the police would rather harass good people than roust the few homeless that are an actual problem.! Good tax dollars flushed
It has potential, but the needles and passed out junkies keep it from being a nice place to visit. Theres a cool Whitaker market every Sunday during the summer.
DescriptionScobert Gardens Park was created in 1983 with a Community Development Block Grant, along with many hours of volunteer labor and energy. Scobert Gardens Park was Eugene’s first playground to include a fully rubberized safety surface. The rubber surface has proven to be a cost-effective, low-maintenance, and safe alternative to commonly used materials such as sand or engineered wood chips. It is wheelchair-accessible and meets both the American Society for Testing and Materials’ safety standards and the Consumer Products Safety Commission’s safety guidelines.
It was clean! Nice to visit.
Every Sunday from May to September the Whiteaker Community Market takes over Scobert park with music, food & booths full of beautiful things!A wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
It was pretty nice I know that I could walk over there .now I know were its at .
Nice except all the homeless getting wasted and hypodermic needle next to the play structires
Nice Party at the Wit. So much good music
Great place to hang out and enjoy the Whit.
Very hospitable & professional, family environment.Older Hotel but clean.
This place seems very sketchy. There was a really nice little open market going on until 4.
Nice little area ....enough room for game of foot ball or just laying out and stare off into the stars ...the ppl are friendly ...the park area was clean ....grass was alive in dry season
Lovely little playground, close to our house.
Always a little grimy and gross, Scobert is a Whiteaker institution. The neighbors have been working hard to keep it family friendly, so its usually an ok spot for kids and, adults. One word of caution: check the playground equipment for sharps and grossness before thou give the kiddos free reign. Its usually safe but always better safe than sorry.
I people watch here and smoke cigarettes when Im on the area and have to kill timeFive stars for entertainment but I wouldnt bring my kids to play here
That Park is always on the kids poop loop. They love it I guess.
This is a fairly simple and small park by Eugene standards. There is a foot path that is U shaped around the park. The park is only accessible from west 4th Ave. Its equipped with a small playground. The park has tbe usual bushes, trees, and of course green grass.
Love the location and variety of food and entertainment!
Perhaps stress out less about people smoking there, otherwise, great job keeping it clean!
It is a park. Small, but a park. I give it so many stars more for the improvement than anything. It used to be scetchy.
Its close to home and its my son and my dog can play here
Its mellow.
Quaint little park in the Whittaker
Its a nice place
Clean & quiet.
Bad park too many homeless people to feel safe with children.
There was trash everywhere and people smoking meth by the play structure.
