A little tame and a little wild river access. Soo nice to go a rather large park with All kinds of people enjoying Gods beauty. AND it is pristine! NO graffiti of any kind (that I could see) and no littering! One of many reasons why we love Oregon!

The Alton Baker Park is a nice green space in Eugene. There is a duck pond with some geese. You are not supposed to feed these wild animals. It is lovely to see them with their little ducklings swimming. Sometimes you can hear a concert at the Cuthbert Outdoor Shell on the far side of the park. There are restrooms... The Willametter River runs by across from EWEB.Bikes galore. It is a short drive over to the North Bank McMenamins for a little outdoor lunch (the happy hour fries are terrific 4-6)!

I would highly recommend checking out this park! Its a great way to get out of the business of the city and enjoy nature, and take some good relaxing time. Great for the whole family, especially families with small children... but its also a really good spot for couples or individuals to go to! Lots of space to spread out so it doesnt feel crowded. On a sunny day, it is spectacularly beautiful, especially in spring. You will not regret visiting!

It was kind of 50/50 if people were wearing masks or social-distancing here. Itll be a nice place to visit when the pandemic is over, but on a sunny Saturday these days? Its awful busy and some people were acting like theres no pandemic happening, at all. Also there us a requirement that dogs outside the dog park area be on a leash but that rule was also not being observed. Also lots of disc golfers out and about, none of them were on a leash, either. The disc golf course looked fantastic, btw.

I have always loved this park. Great place to feed the ducks with your little ones or have a picnic. There is a covered area for events, like birthday parties and barbeques, that is free to use, but sometimes it can be difficult to find a spot that isnt already taken if its a really nice day out. This park has access to the bike path, a frisbee golf course nearby, river access and a boat ramp area, picnic tables, public bathrooms, and even some pretty cool sculptures and artwork. However, I wouldnt recommend walking around the park at night alone.

Open air , good acoustics ,perfect venue for concerts in the summer in Eugene. Some seating but mostly you will sit on a soft, lush lawn. Bring a towel or blanket or low lawn chairs..You can even bring your own food! ( That would be wise as the vendors are overwhelmed and why waste an hour standing in lines?

Love Alton Baker Park. Great place to feed the ducks and they stock the pond with fresh trout. Good place to fish with the kids. Great place to ride your bike and stop off at North Bank restaurant for a bite and a beer in their cool lounge and then ride to Valley River. Alton Baker has great jogging track and disc golf course and a place for dogs to play. The Cuthbert Amphitheater is there and is a really special venue for great concerts.

I have a lifetime of happy memories at this park. Over the past couple of decades I have watched the park change, but not drastically or in a way that impedes its beauty. The paths for walking and riding a bike are in good condition, there is plenty of fishing to do here as they stock it with rainbow trout, taking a canoe ride, and the staff keep it well maintained.

As another reviewer mentioned, the park itself is quite nice and large, but just be aware that there can be a number of homeless wandering about at times. Theres a ton of potential with a little better upkeep in some parts of the park. Also be aware that some stretches of the park can get eerily quiet and deserted such as around early evening, but I never encountered any problems while wandering about.

Great park for large events or walking. There are miles of really nice paved paths, or if you want lower impact for running there are miles of barked paths as well. No shortage of parking either. The bridges make this park unique in Eugene. I recommend you carve out about an hour or so and you can get to all of them.

I primarily go because it has a great dog park there are two sides but no it doesnt have big dog little dog thats just kind of split haphazardly. The community kind of does a bag station and we help each other with bags generally its very well maintained and there is fresh potable water available for dogs Im not sure I would drink it though.Theres a lot more to Alton Baker park there is a Amphitheater there and a duck pond as well.So lots of things to do in lots of sites to see.

A nice little Park to get out of the house with your infant or toddler and just take a stroll. Nice little path with large open grassy areas. Ive been there for a few weddings. If you are bringing your kiddos just for a walk through the park you can take the path right across the river to the Spencer Butte Park where there is a lovely play area. There are ducks and geese on both sides of the river at both parks. You can spend quite a bit of time out there walking, sightseeing, bird feeding and playing with the kiddos since both parks connect by Bridge across the river.

Over all I love this place! I wish both sides of the park had a pool for the dogs to cool off in. There is plenty of fresh drinking water at both ends of the park. Also, a fountain for both dogs and humans, in the middle of the park. One of the regular folks there is a bit territorial. I know thats not the parks fault, Im just voicing it as a part of my review. I travel to the spine Institute once a week, after our appointment we always go to the dog park. A tiny bit of a walk in, so those with limited walking abilities be ready. It is accessible to wheelchairs and such, so do not pass up this park. It has always been well maintained when Ive been there. My dog always leaves tired and with a giant smile upon his beautiful face.
