This has become one of my absolute favorite skateparks. Its small but mighty, and great for all levels of skateboarding. The runs are beat up and concrete is thrashed, and its all so much fun to skate. Everyone if all ages comes here (Ive seen skaters in their 50s come here) and they are always friendly, being in the middle of a giant park and next to dog park is invites a friendly atmosphere. A great place to practice dropping in and just getting your bearings, but also a good spot to practice keeping speed through transitions and getting air. Nothing is too steep but theres enough to keep you challenged if youre experienced. New beautiful and colorful graffiti every few weeks keeps the look and experience fresh. The place has its problems from the consistent drug kids who always loiter by the tree (who dont bother anyone they just litter all their junk food wrappers) to the massive dent in the coping from I think a car? The place has tons of heart and if you skate even a little bit and spend some time in Eugene Oregon, dont miss this great little skatepark.Original review: Small, great little park. Definitely was smaller than I expected, but still really enjoyable.
I stumbled upon this little piece of history one day when I was taking my dog to the dog park, this little DIY Park is actually older than Burnside. If youre in the area I would say come check it out the concretes were off in the transitions worse but its skateable
I know I’m in the minority here, but I love the ashtray. It’s a shallow snake run with a little bank wall, basically. There’s coping on like three feet of it, if I recall. It’s right along the walk/bike path so if you have softish wheels, you could use it to commute or for a fun cruise. It’s never been crowded, no matter when I show up. For obvious reasons, lol, but check it out anyway. Just don’t plan for an all day skate session- hit up nearby WJ park for that.
Nice little run
Fun little run but so many little kids on scooters not waiting for their turn and causing accidents. Please teach your kids skate park etiquette so we could all enjoy the park together, without accidents and people getting injured.
Its rough. But if you like to mess around and not have too many people around, this is the spot. Its small, but fun..
The spot when I was in middle school. Came here in high school too. So fun.
Part of my childhood and still pass by every couple of weeks when Im out and about.
Its very small space
Classic spot..been coming here since the early 90s..can be pretty crowded at times...
