I went for a pre-holiday function to see what was for sale as a fundraiser kind of thing and it was easy to find easy to get in and out of in the parking area which is ample and its just too bad kind of that they have to have a lot of living in the park people hanging out in the proximity.I went for a pre holiday function to see what was for sale as a fundraiser kind of thing. It was easy to find easy to get in and out of in the parking area which is ample. Its just too bad that they have to have a lot of living in the park people hanging out in the proximity, but thats a Eugene City of creation and problem.I would not want to go there by myself after Dark.

The Campbell Senior Center is a wonderful place with rich, varied and easily affordable opportunities to engage and learn for any senior. As a comparative, Ive yet to experience any community senior center that is its equal of all the places in the country that Ive lived in. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful little venue. Weve hosted here about a half dozen times for events from Easter egg hunts to baby showers to weddings. Beautiful grassy area for outdoor events, reasonably sized kitchen with professional appliances (bring your own tools) an indoor room (admittedly not as nice as outdoor) a patio, chairs and tables provided, speaker system thats easy to hook just a phone up to, an incredible value. The list goes on. If youve got an event for under 100 people and you dont require anything super fussy this is the place to go.

My experiences here have not been that great. Due to the fact Im stereotyped almost every time I step through the doors. Im a native lane county-er, I was born at sacred heart hospital, my parents contributed greatly to the community as they had their own self-employed businesses. My entire family lives here. Ive contributed greatly to this community as well, as Ive purchased all my furniture, electronics, cars, even my own surgeries here in lane county my entire life. I have a degree in business with an emphasis in accounting that Ive used 5 years, putting me at a masters level.I experienced homelessness as the economy crashed, and havent found my footing since then. Im not an addict on the streets, and I have never been. But because I am homeless now, while I wait for housing to open up, Im stereotyped by people my parents were friends with and that knew me as a kid, at the community center.... and just because they cant recognize me from the past, isnt a good reason to judge me....... Im me. Im an excellent person who loves people, always trying to flash a smile to everyone. I was raised Christian all my life. Ive spent my life in churches and kingdom halls. I feel very much stereotyped and treated indifferently by the people working there, and managing it there. And Im not even at the building for very long, to maybe charge my smartphone so I can get offers for jobs.Im also 50 years old but dont look it (4/16/1969), once again, everyone in there looks at me like I dont belong there. If it wasnt a community center and it was still a senior center, thats senior abuse to me. I was harassed more than once, for charging my phone. I was harassed for smoking outside the building, which has smoking apparatuses all around it. I watched some of the staff smoke in the grass sometimes, but when I did it (far enough away from building) I was treated like a vagrant.I do have a car, and a storage unit because of the hardships Im going through right now, but I dont want to be treated this way. I am a normal person and I have nice things(in my storage, waiting to be used in my next place I rent). This is my hometown, and Im just really disappointed at the community center and how Im treated there, and that doesnt make me feel like I want to take a class, or shoot a game of pool, use the computers, or have a cup of coffee and chat with some people also there...

Really very helpfull resources here, the people are retired so do be aware, they like to be done by 4pm, and can get kinda rude if you push that. There hours are extremely limited even sometime services only being available one day a week or only certain seasons, but a lot if not all is free and comeing from very experianced volenteers so over all a invaluable service :)
