This place is so fun! My husband and I have been here a few times for various events. We have had a wonderful time every visit. We so enjoy the live music performances. It is a fun place to come and dance as well. It is far less intimidating than other venues.

Love their Gourmet Mac & Cheese, in fact, addicted to it. This time I added sauteed mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes. Thanks for introducing me to this place Scotty. Love listening to music outside too.

Great Music super service lovely people!

It started out good with drinks but after ordering a basket of fries we waited for 30 minutes and I went to check on them and they said they would be right out. At 45 minutes I went to go check again and the waitress walked past me and magically had a plate of fries in her hand. She then sighed loudly when I asked for ketchup.I was a cook for 10 years and in all those years it never took 45 minutes to get a basket of fries.Like really Mac’s?

We went on our first visit to Macs because a friend was playing for Valentines Day. Although weve lived here a long time wed never been to the vets club. The club is excellent people watching and great food. Service is awesome and friendly and fast. We had appetizers and dessert.

Been here for 2 hours listening to the band - theyre great. Ordered drinks when we got here and have been TOTALLY ignored ever since! TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!

If you order anything, PLEASE order the Thai Chicken Pizza! You will NOT find such an amazingly decadent flavor of pizza anywhere! My gosh, who knew that a restaurant, thats not a pizza parlour would make such an indescribable mouth watering pizza! Even the 4 yr old & the 9 yr old, couldnt stop eating it. Now that says A LOT. Try it, youll be hooked.

I love the warm, energetic atmosphere, the food is very good, bar tenders nice. but the only reason I go is the live music. sometimes its a jam, sometimes a traveling band, sometimes a name band from Portland. the dance floor is not big but fine for a little dancing if the band reaches the audience. I went to the Woodstock Tribute last night and it was wonderful! The musicians put an a fantastic performance. I ate an excellent dinner including a smoked salmon fillet wrapped and baked in filo dough and their signature mac and cheese. It was amazing

It is the watering hole for several generations of musicians, music lovers (where else are we going to find quality music on a weeknight!), and those who want to relax, dance or enjoy the best chicken strips in town.The ambiance is warm and pays homage to veterans - musical and not - and fits perfectly within the historic Vets Club building.Simply put, if I live long enough to have great-great-great-grandkids of the legal drinking age, I hope we can all sit at the bar, bend an elbow and order up!

We had great pleasure dancing at Macs tonight. Very friendly bartender and awesome live music is just incredible. We moved to Eugene right after having twin boys. This was our second time out, as we were too busy during the first year. We accidentally came into Macs and had a great evening. Thank you for making our evening better:)

We go primarily for the music but the food and drink are good too. Some really great musicians perform here. It is easily worth the nearly 2 hour round trip from my home to hear the music.

My band was AMAZING. Their talent is over the top. Sexy and comfortable. Percussion queen. Beautiful voices. Perfect song choices. Saw them at a wedding few weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed. After last night, Im a true fan. Thanks for the obvious love you put into your passion and share that endurance with us.

Only had drinks and enjoyed the band. Intimate atmosphere was nice. This was our first time there and we will definitely be back. Next time well try the fiod; the menu looks very good and the samples that came from the kitchen were excellent.

Im here on a weekly basis for a Rotary Club meeting and the location is conveniently located, although parking can be a challenge. Havent been to the many other events they hold here but it seems like a great community space for people looking to rent. Havent used the internal catering but I believe they allow groups to bring their own caterer, which is nice.

We were taken to this delightful restaurant and club by a relative when we were visiting in Eugene. The blues/rock music (Tuesday night) performed by very talented groups was a real pleasure. I didnt expect that type of venue to have such superb food but they did. I had a Cuban pork sandwich that was tender and delicious. The others enjoyed their meals of fried oysters and macaroni and cheese with yummy additions. Highly recommend this spot which is intimate and lively.

Macs is amazing! The food is great, often organic and locally sourced. The people are friendly and the service is excellent! It is also terrific how Macs showcases the local musical talent! What an awesome place to dance, laugh and just be yourself. The Tuesday Blues Jam is really rocking! It is the best kept secret in Eugene! My only wish is that they still had their wonderful chicken piccata on their menu as it was my favorite dish in town! Thank you Macs for being home to many fantastic memories of eating great food, dancing to wonderful live music and enjoying the Eugene nightlife with friends.

Despite the fact that they advertise themselves as a dancehall and the restaurant, they seem to only be a bar. They had a pottery dance floor on the first floor, the second floor was totally unavailable to us, and we received no service when we attempted to solicit restaurant services.

The best spot for Live Blues

About 15 of us met at Macs for dinner and to hear Gus and Paul play jazz. The music was great but the service and food was lacking. We all looked at the menu on line and when we got to Macs and started to order, we were told that the menu online was old...3 years old!!!! It was much better than the current menu. Several of us ordered Reubens and the bread was soggy, ...I could go on, but our advice is to go full and order a drink or two and dance to the great music.

Went to Macs Restaurant by recommendation to celebrate my sisters birthday. Seven of us sat at their Round Table , staff was quick to take.our drink orders and delivered with a.smile and friendly staff and patrons all around were pleasantly happy. Fried oysters were very tasty and a.very generous pour on our chosen wine was appreciated. Thank you all!

Rude staff, poor service. We sat for 45 minutes, never had a waitress ask us for a drink or food order. Most of clientele are older folks. Overall negative vibe. Music nothing special, just mediocre jazz. Why all the positive reviews? Perhaps cos its easy for friends and staff to post bogus reviews on google and yahoo.

Expensive for what you get. The food is good but not worth it. Music is sometimes good but we waited over an hour for our food. Probably wont come back without a discount!

Meet prior employees from years ago, who offer up some delightful stories and maybe some Individuals who now in their 70s who recount their memories of this Great old origanally restored bldg. Transformed into a wonder dinning and nightclub experience with Great food and great evening entertainment! People keep coming back for all kinds of events. Rental rooms for gatherings and a kitchen that had a Chef and crew that handle all the catering. Real handy to have all this at one site! Defiantly recommend this for everyone to take a tour and stay and have some wonderful starters and a drink or two. So comfortable, stay for dinner and music.

Great historic building. Good food and entertainment. I used to come to the Vets Club in the third grade when I would get sick before math class. My dad would pick me up and take me to lunch.

Eugene is my hometown, & I was just back there for 2 weeks, from Southern California where I live now. I saw in the Eugene weekly that there was a blues jam there, I went down and had a wonderful time. Everybody there was very welcoming and the caliber of the musicians was good, all in all an enjoyable evening.

The live music night club is good but a little small. Dancing lessons are available for most styles throughout the week at the Veterans Memorial Building where Macs is located.
