5 star venue AND STAFF - ZERO STARS FOR FOUNDER TREATMENT OF HOMELESSIt is sad that this wonderful venue with hard working staff and supporters was co-founded by people are so uptight that a homeless day shelter is what the founders have time to get VETOED because it is too close to their venue. So I now protest in my tent in the snow that many will not fare as well as I do at 52. Many fall short of staying safe in this type of weather. It was approved, why fight and veto a temp fix for winter serving the downtown.

I saw a play last night at The Shedd! Thank you one and ALL!!!! I was able to have live entertainment in my hometown without having to drive to Portland. Thank you one and all for allowing me into visiting live entertainment! I grew up in Claremont, CA where live productions locally was something my Mom would get season tickets for my sister, herself, and I. Live theatre is so much better!!! Thank you so much for bringing Anne to life!

My wife and I were delighted to rediscover The Shedd. The matinee performance of the microphilharmonic concert in April was steller. Bravo to the musicians and the staff for this booking this fabulous group!.

What could be better than the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago? Well The Shedd musical venue in Eugene! Same family! Same generosity of spirit and philanthropy!I have seen several fantastic artists here. Bring your football cushions because the seats are hard as well pre-Vatican II pews. The musical artists are well worth it! Such a fine selection and affordable tickets. Thanks and keep it coming!

I always enjoy going to a show at The Shedd. I dont think that there is a bad seat in the house, and the acoustics are great. The cast and the costumes continually prove to be charming. The Shedd has something to offer for all tastes. Truly a gem.

Good, intimate place for concerts, especially jazz and alt. Americana but a lot of different styles actually. Weve gone to a lot of shows there over the years (John Hiatt, Steve Earle most recently) that were exceptional. Not a party place -- definitely concert oriented (it is an old converted church).

Saw Rickie Lee Jones there and the sound was perfect, the crowd was respectful and the show was amazing. I would recommend this venue if youre lucky enough to have someone you know playing there.

Gentlemen Prefer Blondes was superb. We loved it. Were waiting for Babes in Arms in Dec. We saw Singin in the Rain and Camelot and they were great as well. Were all on a roll here. Thanks.

Why didnt I take advantage of this sooner. Now I know there is no need to drive out of town to experience live music I enjoy in a comfortable venue and at a reasonable price..…AND sometimes I can also take advantage of a fantastic meal served shortly before the performance!

I went to the Aug. 10 matinee of the Music Man, with my 81 year old mother and my sister. The performance was marvelous, especially William Huling. Unfortunately, at the intermission, James Ralph stomped down the aisle and accused us of taking pictures and that we would be thrown out. We were shocked, and traumatized, and also highly offended. A trip to the Hult Center should be a treat, not an ordeal, especially for an older woman with CPD (a breathing disorder) on her birthday. This was a terrible experience and Mr. Ralph showed no contrition, but simply a desire to throw us out. And of course, we werent taking pictures. We could not stay, waiting for James Ralph to attack us again. The Hult Center staff behaved very well, providing us with a refund. The Shedd, abominably. Mr. Ralph could not bring himself to apologize to my mother for his mistake and subsequent rude behavior. I am warning my elderly friends, that this could happen to them.

Attended the One For My Baby concert, concluding OFAM 2014. The band was tight, the vocalists were superb and the night was basically one gem after another. This is the way a concert should feel: theres not one remote, nosebleed seat in the house. The audience gets an intimate musical experience in the Jacqua.(Also, Clairdee + Mack the Knife = greatness!)

Thoroughly enjoyed Henry Kapono, Keola and Moanalani Beamer! The crowd was just as fun as the great performances. Having lived 23 yrs in Hawaii, it was great to hear our favorite music live, as well as say Aloha to our old friend Henry. Like being in the Islands again, but as Henry said; Its a lot colder here. Moanalani is a Goddess of Grace with her dances, and Keola had us in stitches. So fun! Mahalo again to the Shedd!

Not a club--more a concert venue. ongoing variety of top acts. Some of the shows weve seen over the years: Wayne Shorter, Dave Douglas, Afro-Cuban All Stars, Dave Holland, Wynton Marsalis Quintet, Brian Blade, Bill Frisell (many times), Tomasz Stanko, Chick Corea, Jack DeJohnnette, Edgar Meyer, John Zorn, etc. pretty good room.
