Mecca is an amazing place to pick up craft supplies. If you want to donate items make sure to call first. Be careful where you park. There are a few parking places near the building with Mecca on them. Wheel chair accessible. The aisles inside may not Be wide enough for a wheelchair.
MECCA is one of my favorite places to shop. You can find just about anything and I always leave with something super inspiring. They’ve also set up a hand washing station, have multiple sanitizer spots, and limit the number of customers to help make second hand shopping a little less intimidating during covid.
An interesting treasure trove of donated arts & crafts materials of all sorts. Their pricing has no rhyme or reason, so if you see something you like that is wildly overpriced (i.e. you can get it cheaper new at a regular store), take it up to counter and negotiate. I always come away with something wonderful.
Oh my goodness! This place is amazing. Its like a weird candy store for crafters. The staff are super fantastic. My husband and I went there to find some things to make shields and they were undeniably helpful. I highly recommend this place
A fun trove of secondhand art materials at very reasonable prices. Need 100 soda bottle caps for a project? They have it. Curious to see if you can find professional grade clay for cheap? Its hit or miss, but quite possible Great for local artists, teachers, and hobbyists. Im so glad something like this exists.
It is a second hand store for arts and crafts and there are always fantastic finds for pennies on the dollar. The most valuable treasure Ive been lucky enough to discover there was Scott, a one of a kind wonder. him!
Love the place! Always find interesting things.
This is the best place for art supplies. Everyone who works here is super kind and helpful. You can’t beat the prices here, most things are on a sliding scale so it’s usually pay what you can. This place is especially great when you need just a little extra fabric, or ribbon, or a zipper, or if you just want to make something but you don’t know what yet! Come on down to Mecca and get inspired :)
There was many arts and crafts items for a good price but everything seemed very disorganized.
Wonderful non-profit and great source of art and crafts supplies.
Unique and fun. You can find almost anything arts and crafty there. But also vintage magazines, jewellery and more. Teachers get their supplies for free. You can go into the warehouse on certain days and name your own price anything. Love this place
I love all the things here, piles of unloved bits and pieces waiting for a happy home. Its absolutely delightful! My one issue and reason for not giving 5 stars is there were many areas off-limits to me because there was no space provided for a wheelchair. Navigating the store would be impossible with my electric wheelchair.
Great if looking for art supplies
I could spend hours at the store
GREAT place for artists, community feel to it and friendly staff.
I love Mecca! I have come to Mecca so many times for supplies to aid in my vision boards, homeschooling projects, and other crafty recycling ideas. The staff are friendly and helpful. Also , there is a makers space so you can source your supplies and create all in one place. I love to go to Mecca during the holiday season to craft holiday cards for family and friends with my daughter.
Some good finds on used art materials at a very cheap price. There is also a section where you can choose your own price.
I absolutely love this place!! SO many different craft resources. I come here for beads, pendants, leather sheets, fabric, paint, and other miscellaneous things. The workers are generally so kind and relaxed, too.
Its a crafters paradise! Donated items. Everything you can imagine. Teachers can get supplies from the warehouse for free. On certain days anyone can go into the warehouse area and name your price on whatever you want. This place is addicting
What a magical.jumbleOf you love art supplies, fabric, barrels of fascinating miscellany, the earth, outsider art, upcycling, not wrecking the planet, and having your purchases weighed on the way out, this place is for you. There are real treasures. The back room is also a wonderful collection of junkier junk, old magazines, interesting bottles, etc, that is free for educators, including homeschoolers.
Amazing assortment of diverse things. Well displayed. Also got me thinking about things I could donate.
Love the friendliness there and the free section is great.. what a wonderful place to spend some time at.
I freaking LOVE this place. If youre an artist (doesnt matter which media) then you must look into this store. And the back warehouse is where the major deals are if you can find a use for what is back there; its super excellent to see these items staying out of the landfill. Staff are always friendly and helpful.
Used /remnant art supplies of ALL kinds
This place is amazing for neat craft materials. they get business and private donations so there is often new things and very nice materials for low prices. they give discounts to educators as well
Non ADA compliant aisles. Too narrow, with added floor clutter, for a wheelchair, or even a walker user, to shop. You might have some great selection, but i wouldnt know, as i was unable to navigate the space.
I love that you can get just about anything you will ever need for crafts!
This is one of my favorite those shops locally when Im looking for ideas or supplies for whatever crafting or at project I might be working on. Have even found rolls of lose canvas here in the past!!!
For a cheap thrill to do with your teen or tween, this place is fun! We were able to go into the store with a handful of change and we walked out with a bag full of fun things we will later use in art projects. Yarn, beads, paper, wine corks, hot glue gun, marbles, card stock, and broken crayons for hot air art. Always feels like a fun treasure hunt when we come. My daughter and I can spend quite a bit of time, searching and creating!
As a teacher I am always looking for crafty ideas for my room and my students. They not only had discounted items for teachers but many free (donations asked) for items. They are a great place full of recycled items.Thank you for what you guys do here for the community and for our landfills.
This is a great place for people whore creative and looking to work with unconventional supplies. Only rating it a three because it can be very cramped inside during busy times.
Its a really neat place. Prices are super cheap! Great for crafters and artist of all Mediums!
Awesome place for materials. I found great paper and fabric here
Lots of fun supplies. Everything you would need. A little messy. Interesting craft ideas.
This is such a great little store, you can get cheap sewing and crafting materials and you know everything is reused so that youre able to be green ️️️️ I always go in looking for something, and getting about 12 other things as well
I went to donate, over the phone they said they would take tiles. But upon arrival an hour later they were not interested.Other than that great place to fund recycled art supplies!
This is my happy place! Whether I need a gift for someone, a way to distract my six year old, electrical tape, a soldering iron, or new gel pens, MECCA is the place I look first. The constantly rotating selection of goodies means that, no matter my original need, Ill have a full basket and an eager smile at the end of my trip. No matter what kind of arts you pursue or crafting you enjoy, MECCA will have just the thing to make it perfect. Be sure to save some time to check out the warehouse and dont forget to take your donations, too!
Nice place to bring and take staff for a super low price
Great redice/reuse/ recycle place. Ive NEVER gone in here without NEEDING something I saw in there. You do yourself, your community, and the world a major favor by patronizing this place. Come see why
My wife LOVES this place because of her crafts and the LOW LOW LOW prices for what she gets
Great place for discounted art supplies. Non profit. You never know what you are going to find.
Nice place for recycled materials and used art supplies.
Always find something I need, a treat and a surprise for very little. Meet great people while shopping.
Amazing place for thrifty craft supplies. :)
Non-profit doing amazing important work. My first stop for any craft supplies, and a great resource for teachers.
This place is absolutely amazing! Went here and couldnt leave for like an hour I was so enraptured with how many cool things I could buy from them for such cheap prices. If you have stuff you have resigned yourself to never finishing, donate it! Someone, somewhere, will want your buttons, all 7000 of them. (Hint: its me, I want your buttons.)This place I got an unbelievable amount of stuff from and it only cost like 25 bucks. I got a huge art history book with countless pages of inspiration for 6 bucks. It officially cost 80. I got a painters palette that retails for 50, for basically free because it was added in. Are you kidding me!I know I sound like a late night infomercial but this place is abolutely amazing ok? With the help of this place I can finish my sculpture Ive been working on for a week.
Good assortment. Hard to tell what prices are.
Such a great spot filled with stuff for the imaginative artist!
A thrifty crafters dream!!!! You can lose hours looking at all the neat items they have to offer. Super cheap!
Wonderful place to get my materials and friendly service
For their freebies stuff they dont have a whole lot of different items but what they do have an overabundance of his things like crayons paper chalk pins. Items that they charge for are very inexpensive and there is quite a few of those however their store is full of finished items it was a great experience the lady that works there at the register is so wonderful and they do need donations very bad
Free supplies for teachers! Arts n crafts activity for kids every Saturday! Art contests and rotating displays! Fun loving, knowledgeable staff!Awesome vintage items at dirt cheap prices, and constantly getting new inventory. Prepare to spend hours oooing and aaahing, leaving with bags of treasures you cant find anywhere else.{Make sure to check out the washroom while youre there. Their beloved Kat beautified it beyond belief. It instantly inspires your inner artist.}
I loved my visit there I donated things and exchange some things it was a really good experience the people are awesome the stuff there is I thought theres just a lot youd have to go back a few times just to see part of the store
Awesome place for reuse craft supplies. Always cool stuff and I love how they keep materials out of landfills and in the hands of people who will use them
Great place, good clerks. Its your fellow shoppers you need to watch out for! Rude, pushy, impatient, get the hell outta my way! I am visually impaired, I have very little side vision left, and am legally blind one eye, it takes me a little longer to look around at items and navigate an unfamiliar location. I really dont like shopping in Eugene, its a very unpleasant city.
Ten percent off for educators! Come here first for all your craft needs.
Enjoyed an awesome Skelly doll making workshop with Mija
Something for everyone and recycling is always the best.
This place is amazing for making craft projects and reusing old things for new. You never know what youll find here. Its like Bring for crafts. And not only is it low cost, but teachers get things here for free!
Great place for all your craft needs! And educators/teachers get 10%off!!
This is just a school place for artists or people who just want to do it yourself. They can really use art supplies if you have anything to donate. Remember repurpose and reuse things work too
Well worth a visit! Ive found oil paints and supplies at a very reasonable price plus its for a worthy cause
What a GREAT place for art supplies, the bring of art supply. If you have some to get rid of too, bring it here!
Nice to have the warehouse name your price option
Repurposed art supplies...can I say anymore?
Love this place!!!
What an amazing resource! Forget the big box stores, vote with your dollar and do all craft shopping in this fantastic shop.
Many, many partly used art supplies for any type of artist. Broken glass in various colors for stained glass or mosaics, yarn, fabric, buttons, and so much more! Sometimes it difficult to find items as things change, but workers there will help to the best of their ability.
I love places like this that are finding a way to repurpose used items. My wife uses them often.
Amazing place! Like a thrift store for arts and crafts materials. Something new every time, treasures galore! Not for profit. Great place to donate your left over project materials, too.
Always a smiling face to greet you, very helpful staff and endless ideas.
Lots of random craft supplies, pretty loosely organized. Theres good stuff, like partial bottles of paint that are perfect for small projects. Lots of random things that are often used for crafts, like glass stones, which are great if you like to see something and then get inspired. If you go in looking for something very specific, you may not find it. They have lots of paper craft supplies, but the paper itself is a little expensive at .50/sheet. It has a nice community feel to it And really is a great place to support.
Love the piano outside my son loves to play it.
Excellent spot for finding affordable and unique art supplies. Never walk out without more projects to make.
The best place ever
Great place to find just the thing you needed for that craft!
Great selection. A few things are totally overpriced but besides that its overall a fun experience for people of all skill levels.
Excellent place to find all the nik nak things needed for any craft project. Excellent pricing and very welcoming to all artist and creative minds.
Little bits of everything you can imagine at great prices. Set your creativity free!
A wonderful resource for artists and creative people in our community. I always find something that sparks my interest.
Gotta really dig around but lots of stuff to look thru for arts and crafts
Great place for artists to go an get supplies for a good price.
Daughter loves going here for art supplies!
I like the idea of people donating. You kind of pay what you can.
MECCA is incredible! If you need something for a craft or project, definitely check this place out. They have very reasonable prices and an incredible selection if you dont need something wildly specific.
Yes all my Favorite things
When ever I need something sweet for a project in the arts and crafts world..MECCA is my first stop
This place is pure genius. Great place to get cheap art supplies. For $2.75, my entire day got better. They had everything I needed for my drawings and paintings.
Awesome place for artists for art and craft supplies
Great place to donate or buy materials for artistic use. Your items get used by teachers and artists directly, at a great price to them. I always have a bag for MECCA donations at my house. Any time I decided to let someone else enjoy a product, I know it will go to good use.
This is my favorite place to donate (and buy!) great craft items!!! A worthy cause!
If you are a Teacher, they have lots of materials for crazy crafts ... Also there are craft classes my granddaughter really likes going there .
I love this place. If your a crafter, diyer, hobbyiest and want to get the most bang for your buck then go to Mecca first. Like them on facebook, sign up for their newsletters to get events they do.
Truly amazing to have an organization like MECCA that is willing to rescue pounds and pounds of useable materials. I rescued a GREAT sewing machine for $20. Better than thrift store. And TEACHERS of all kind receive awesome perks. Just ask!
I got the impression of Mecca being disorganized & a little sparse. I would like to be inspired when I come here, not overwhelmed. Prices are good for leather scraps. It seems we have a thriving art community in Eugene. Why is Mecca suffering?
There is no reason to go anywhere else. The people are so friendly and helpful and the bargains are incredible!!
MECCA is the perfect place to get what you need to finish that art or DIY project. If at first they dont have it, ask the staff.
