This was my first time coming here and definitely wont be my last! Everyone was so kind and so helpful! In other places, Im used to having to search and hunt a person down if I have a quick question and often feel really guilty for inconveniencing them when I do. But gosh, not here! I had the polar opposite experience here that I often have elsewhere. The people who work here are genuinely kind and so helpful. I was only in the store for 15 minutes and had 4 different people ask me how my day was going and if I needed help finding anything and 2 different people asked if I needed help carrying my soil out to my car! And before I left I wanted to see the fishies out back and a really nice man named Zack showed me around and answered every single question I had. I really, really appreciate how kind and helpful you are to your customers! And I also appreciated everyone being so conscientious about social distancing! You guys are awesome!

Oh my gosh I had no idea a store like this existed. The young girl that helped me was very knowledgeable for my outdoor pond.

We are putting together our first planted tank and we needed some insight. After googling and youtubing, Shell helped us make our final decisions. Shell made our experience at Aqua Serene amazing. She is knowledgable and humble and has helped us on multiple occasions. Definitely seek out her help. Additionally, there is a great selection of plants/substrate/driftwood/rock/etc to start a tank! We highly recommend this place and Shell!

Customer service I experienced here was incredible. Having purchased an expensive product 2 years and 3 months ago and not having the receipt anymore, they thankfully went out of their way to help me out when they surely didnt need to. Knowing the time I purchased within 2 months and listing out some other items I remember getting at the same time, their employee was able to search back and go through a handful of purchases around that time frame to find mine and offer me the full 3 year warranty that product offered. Needless to say I was thrilled.

Beautiful tanks and amazing fish!!!! The staff are knowledgeable and patient with new people. They have a wide selection of fresh and saltwater fish. The prices are clearly marked on the tanks as well. Large selection of loaches too which is amazing!

Was recommended to get a $200 filter that did not work with the tank I bought from them. When I brought it back they would not refund it or give in store credit. I would do your own research before buying anything. I will not be a returning customer.

I just moved to Eugene from the SF Bay Area and very glad I found this place! Just visit and walk in the front door and youll see what I mean.They have great gear selection from basic to top of the line, healthy fish and inverts, some amazing salt and fresh tanks (big ones!) in the store, and great folks working there.Definitely highly recommend. Very high level information and advice available too if you need that for any reason/issues/setups.

Aqua Serene Is it perfect example of a local business that does a great job in our community. Located on West 11th by oak patch near taco Bell its easily spotted by the mural on the building. They have everything for fish and ponds. Whats not so common knowledge is they have great import gifts from rocks, crystals, geodes, to statues, art, and pottery! Gideon is a wealth of knowledge along with the rest of the staff.This is one shopping experience you will enjoy. When I need dirt supplements or sound growing advice... this is where I go.Highly recommended!!!

The young lady that helped me was very knowledgeable and polite. She helped test my water and pick out some fish for my tank. I will be back.

We brought in a fish as trade for a shrimp, it was a $45 fish and the shrimp was $20, no big deal, we were fine with that. I also decided to purchase a orchid dotty back who appeared to look healthy, took them home, acclimated and the shrimp didn’t look right and died within a few hours of acclimating, mind you I have a well established tank, great parameters and everyone else is heathy. The dottyback was fine for about 4 days when I noticed it started developing brooklynella like symptoms, before I could act it died in less than a day of me seeing the illness and I check my fish every morning and night. I’m not sure I’ll be a returning customer and now I don’t know what’s going to happen with the rest of my tank. :(

Wonderful experience! I came into their building to establish treatment in our 20 gallon tank and left feeling inspired to take on fish tanking as a hobby. I visited twice back to back and spent upwards of $80, yet feeling like I left with far more in expertise and knowledge to go forward with confidence. The few staff I worked with were more concerned over the health of our fish rather than selling me unneeded products. I received a few free plants and sample tall water treatments for my time. The only drawback was when I recorded the technique to siphon rocks from our tank, only to find I failed since the technique was not properly described. A quick YouTube and now Im an expert. I am strongly considering a second tank for saltwater fish, and this is after going in with a 7yr old goldfish living solitary. I plan on going in many more times over the next few months to gradually build our tank into something beautiful and functional. After two cleanings as described for a regimen, our tank is crystal clear and will only get better. The staff lives their passion and it really shows in how thorough they are in helping you care for your pets

They used to be the place to go for anything for your koi pond, now they are over priced, reduced products. The current staff are aquarium knowledgeable but dont know ponds and large fish needs.Its really not worth it to me to make the 25 mile drive.

Bought some feeder fish for my sons axolotyls and within 3days my sons critters ate 6 of them and died..there was absolutely nothing other than those fish that was done differently. My son is devastated. Axolotyls are hard to come by.

They have everything we need for fish and garden. We started a 120 gallen tank inside. They helped us get the plants we need and hlped us grow all the healthy bactrea. We have happy healthy fish. And we are getting help with the pond in our back yard! I love this place.

You should not buy pairs of fish from these people! I bought two Cacatuoides and one was a sneaker male! Staff of course denied any error, treated me like I had feces on my shirt. If you enjoy condescension, by all means shop here.
