Oct. 1 This Park is Closed for Winter. And willre open in March depending on COVID

This park was stunning! The views of the water are great, and you can actually go swimming in the lake. There are tons of benches and picnic tables, as well as two pavilions that can be reserved for parties and gatherings, and two playgrounds.For being a park, the bathrooms were very clean and nice and air conditioned, which is a necessity during the hot humid summers in Alabama!The only reason I won’t give this park five stars is because it is not the most dog friendly park. We had three dogs, and there was nowhere safe to let them run and play. We ended up walking down the road from parking lot to the next to let them stretch their legs before getting back in the car for four more hours.

Clean bathrooms and good number of table barbecue grilled and two pavilions .

Public day use area, open sun up to sundown. There are lots of picnic tables, a swimming area, charcoal grills, a pavillion for large groups, some classic metal playground equipment nicely shaded by large trees, and bathrooms. There is another area connected by a cute little bridge with a second group pavillion, benches, and newer playground equipment. This was a nice shady area to have a picnic and cut a watermelon on a summer afternoon, and the kids enjoyed playing. Will definitely be going back!

Good place to meet up with family and friends and play games on the playground, swimming, fishing and cook outs.
