Eastern Yacht Club is a great place for a wedding. It is so peaceful and tranquil being on the waterfront but quite outside if you hold a wedding in the summer especially today July 3rd 2020 what is a definite scorcher! Congratulations to Brittany and Tony Feltz the happily married couple today, Congrats!

Weddings are a special time for families. Should you consider to have a loved ones wedding here at Eastern Yacht Club you will not be disappointed. The staff is professional and personable. Thank you All for the kindness extended to all in attendance that special day in July.

Eastern Yacht club was awesome. It was the perfect size venue for the amount of people who attended. The food was excellent, and the employees were very friendly and attentive. It certainly did not hurt spending the evening with family at a wedding & a reception on the coldest night of winter. The dance floor stayed packed as everyone was enjoying themselves.A definite thumbs up to Eastern Yacht Club, my cousin Jimmy Z. and his wife Pat.

I was there for a fam wedding. Lots of parking. The whole area was clean, neat, drinks were good. The tiki bar was open to us guests prior to the beautiful on the lawn ceremony. The yacht club where the reception was, was planned out with great food.

I have been here for a wedding a couple of years ago and then just recently for a beer and wine festival. The staff is friendly and helpful. It has a great view of the mouth of middle river, the facilities are very nice and clean. The grounds are in great shape.

This is a beautiful venue for a wedding! The gazebo sits near the water for awesome pictures. Sharon helped plan the perfect wedding and Mike catered an awesome meal. We highly recommend the Eastern Yacht Club.

Was there for a wedding. Sound system was pretty off and disrupted the ceremony due to wind. Spacious inside and smart layout, but somewhat cramped for even a mid sized event. A separate bar down a walking path was tacky.

Hadnt thought much about the events leading up to our wedding, since we got married. My mother in-law and wife dealt directly with the contact (I believe her name was Deb). From all accounts, Deb was helpful and Pleasant. Once the venue was paid for an outside caterer, Ben, who you must use if you book your wedding there, runs it. I flew in town on specific dates to see the venue and do a tasting. Ben had told my wife to just call the day before we wanted to come and it wouldnt be a problem. She calls and he was rude and could not accommodate the next day. I called and tried to relate, since I work in hospitality. Ben was rude, unprofessional and at one point angrily stated, you can come pick up your check, I dont need your business. Well, If we werent a month away from our wedding, thats exactly what we would have done. He finally stated that we could do a tasting the day after we were trying for. When we went for the tasting, Ben never met with us, only his daughter who was absolutely professional, polite and served us terrific food. She apologized for the interaction I had with her father which was nice, but should have come from Ben. The venue is beautiful. That much I can attest to. The day of the wedding was good. Ben, although not dressed for the occasion, served good, hot food, was professional, but again, never mentioned the issue. We only had one problem with the food. it was buffet and after only 1 trip per guest, Ben and his staff broke down the food stations and were heading out. They did not ask if anyone wanted seconds or speak to any of us, just started packing up. My mother in-law asked Ben what was happening. His only response, I thought you were finished. After it was over, we were cleaning up and a random guy came in and started yelling for us to hurry up. He even turned off the lights. My mother in-law got to him before me. All in all, I would not recommend this venue. Not treated well.

The EYC is a great place in general. They have nicely kept grounds and a lot of friendly members. However, like anything in life, there are exceptions. The exception in this case would be the tiki bar bartender. During a paid event, the girlfriend decided shed get a fresh orange crush from the tiki bar, or so she thought. Alas, her dreams of a fresh, cool beverage were dashed by a particularly tactless bartender. Now, the reality is that the tiki bar is an amenity for members only. The issue was not with the rule; why shouldnt paid members of the club receive exclusive benefits for their time, trouble, and money? No, the rule is fine as it stands. The issue was the bartender. Ill recount the event as vividly as I can remember:Standing at the bar, my girlfriend waited patiently behind a short line of two people. To the bartender, the situation must have appeared drastically different. To his eyes, the queue must have appeared as a legion of two thousand. Watching as the thirsty horde approached his post, his skin turned pale and cold. He could clearly not understand what he was seeing. How could things have gotten so out of hand? Two people in line?! This was a situation of the most dire consequences. He reached for his compatriots arm, bracing her for the coming onslaught. But something was wrong. This crowd was unlike any hed ever seen before. The ranks before him were somehow... different. He breathed deep and, in an instant, realized what exactly lay before him. The smell of mediocrity filled his flared nostrils. These were not the members of his precious, prestigious upper-echelon of yacht-wielding cronies. No... these were the lowly proles of a sub-human race. A disdainful sneer crossed his face as he dropped his cocktail shaker into the sink in a display of utter disgust, and he shook his head in disbelief. These were unworthy foes; unfit to even gaze upon his magnificent superior form. His lips curled in a twisted, disapproving manner. He carried the appearance of a man who had just freshly stepped from the foul, rancid bowels of some putrid cesspool. His eyes fixed briefly upon those of each of the three peasants who laid before him. He turned his head. He simply could not bear to lay his divine eyes upon them any longer. Diverting his gaze to the door, he finally spoke in a pristine aristocratic tone:There is another bar outside for non-members.He mustered as polite of a tone as he could, but his voice cracked briefly, as if he could not believe that he was being forced to treat these swine in such a civil manner. He turned around, nose raised in the air, refusing to look back as those bipedal cockroaches scurried from his glowing presence.Ok, so maybe I exaggerated just a little bit, and maybe the bartender was technically correct about the bar being meant for club members only, but he was still kind of a jerk about it.
