Awesome!! Definitely stop in for a visit if youre in the area. Plan on spending an hour or two depending on the crowd. Engaging exhibits great for kids. Nice gift shop if even a little pricey. Didnt get a chance to check out the cafe. The jog up to the observation platform is worth it.

This review is not for the center itself, but for the lack of landscaping at the site. Lots of over grown vegetation. The place looked abandoned when I first pulled in.

It is really great learning how Presque Isle was developed and how it is still evolving. So many things to do while you learn. Where was this when I was in school. I enjoyed the movie and going up into the tower. The outfits some of the staff were wearing reminded me of Bio Dome. Not to make fun, was nice to see in real life. Be outside about 500pm or when they are now getting off. Its quite a site. Makes you proud of all their dedication and hard work. Be sure to visit Presque Isle after to see what youve learned on a larger scale. And have fun!

AVOID THE SUNSET CAFE! The lady with short blonde hair was very nasty to my family and I. She sat in a chair on the opposite room from the register and stared at us while we waited to check out at the register. We asked if anyone was currently working the cafe and she had a very rude and nasty tone with us so we decided to not even eat there. Very unimpressed. Other than that the gift shop is wonderful and has lots of nice things! Also, the environmental center itself is very clean and educational. Air conditioning is a plus.

The Tom Ridge Center is a great asset to Erie, PA. A combined natural history museum, oberservation tower, movie theater showing environmental short films, as well as a café and art gallery/gift shop-- it is a must stop for any visitors to Erie and Presque Isle.TREC also doubles as the main visitors center for the city of Erie and carries a lot of materials on local attractions, restaurants, shopping and lodging.
