The beaches are so beautiful! You feel like youre at the ocean because Lake Erie is so big! This is beach 9, I think, it was early morning about 9:30am so in was empty. It was so peaceful and quiet and there were so many driftwood structures that made it very natural and interesting.

My wife and I were there at the greatest time. It was our mini vacation for our anniversary and her birthday trip. We went camping in Grove City. It was sprinkling and Im not sure which beach we were on but we had it all to ourselves. The view was spectacular. The last time we were here there were a bunch of people, but with this pandemic it was perfect. Its a very nice park and a nice destination.

Great all purpose trail we used to talk our dog. Trail on East side had a nice breeze and is mostly along the water. West side has waves and nice beaches which my wife loves to look for beach glass. We enjoyed visiting Perrys Monument as we are visiting from Ohio and have been to the Monument near the Battle of Lake Erie site. Really nice that they have designated sections of beach for dogs and if want to enjoy the other sections, just need to keep dog back by trees.

Day trip to the beach with my family. Per reviews, we went to beach 11, which is the family & kid friendly beach. It was a little gloomy and when we arrived around 2:00p, people were leaving due to rain coming. It did drizzle, but for a short time. It was practically empty so we got to play on the sand and swim in peace. Cant wait to go back.

First trip to Lake Erie and Presque Isle State Park. Loved it! Park is quite large with a multitude of beach/swim areas and lots of other options for things to do. Seemed to be restrooms near every beach and adequate parking as well. Bike, kayak, canoe, and paddle board rentals are available as are boats but these are best reserved ahead of time as they tend to sell out. I highly recommend the sunset tour boat ride on the Lady Kate. It was absolutely beautiful watching the sunset from the water with an unobstructed view. Worth every penny! Will definitely return here in the future.

Spent the day here and it was absolutely beautiful! We had our own private section of the beach and enjoyed walking out the pier and to the lighthouse for pictures. The waves were like being at the beach and sounded exactly the same. What was even better was the food at Saras. We will definitely be back!!!

The beaches are incredible and always clean and trash free. My wife says that she would rather come to this beach than go to the ocean beaches. The best part is that the park is so large that you can always find a spot on the beach where there is nobody around. And it is the perfect spot to watch the sunset.

It was nice being there watching Fourth of July Fireworks, but there were a lot of mosquitoes, (I suggest you to use mosquitoes repellent on summertime). Wow! I love this state park. Its my first time visiting. There is no cost to enter and use this park. There are so many landmarks, restrooms, concessions, beaches, parking, flaring boathouses, geese, and hiking trails. I only planned to visit this park once during my stay in this area, but with my flexible schedule, Im going back tomorrow. Today we hiked 2 mile round trip to the North Point Lighthouse, walked Beach 11, and saw the tall Perrys Monument. Met a nice couple who found a painted rock hidden at the Perrys Monument Park area. Pretty neat. Not sure if the rocks are hidden everywhere throughout the park. There are so many bike friendly trails and there are fat tire bikes that you can rent. The tires are FAT. There are different activities like boating, fishing, etc... A great place for families. There are picnic tables throughout the park, and BBQ grill with huge concrete cylinders for hot charcoal disposal. So much history. In most section of the park you can see the Hammermill Three Sister Stacks across the water. Note that it can be windy in some area, particularly along the water causing the temperature to be cooler. Im glad I wore pants instead of shorts. This is a beautiful park. I likely will go back the next 2 days.

Good people of Pennsylvania...Our first time at your park. We came to go swimming from Akron, Ohio. Not reading all your details, and observing many others swimming at Beach 10, we were asked to get out of the water. Repeatedly, people got out and again went back in. I did not get it.My question is could not the ranger have encouraged folks to stay at their park and swim elsewhere? I even asked the ranger why we could not swim. He said no guards. But we would have moved had he made us aware of other open swim beaches. Many people I talked to were also 2 hour drive from your park. No one seemed to know.Admittedly, this has been a hard year, and freedom to swim seemed a little more important. We want to support your rangers unlike many who reject law enforcement. We thank you for your service. We just did not know the ropes.Hope this might be of some help to you. BTW...the waves were fun and the beach clean.Sincerely,Linda Cox

Its been a few years that we came here and Sunday during COVID didnt disappoint. It was crowded, but we still found our scramble up to the beach nook where we could set up an umbrella and enjoy the waves and sand. Usually driving around the island you can see all the parking lots filled up, but there are also beaches that are protected off by dunes that you can park along the road and hike up. We prefer this less explored section to avoid the crowds. That said, if you need a restroom, its better to go to the marked areas, in fact if you want to avoid poison ivy its a good idea to stay in the lots where they plant has been beaten into submission! This was the first time our daughter experienced the beach and sand and waves, so it was a special event for her 11 month birthday.

We always love visiting Presque Isle. You have to watch as you enter to see which beaches are open for swimming. Im pretty sure you can hang out on the sand on any of the beaches, but you can only go in the water on the ones with life guards, and like I said thats posted on a sign as you enter the park. And they will come and scold you and make you get out of youre in the water at a closed beach.
