The show was highly entertaining! Once the doors to the theater were opened, we were greeted and seated by members of the cast. The cast never broke character off the stage. The show started shortly after everyone got their seats. The storyline, acting, and singing were all enjoyable. The cast was spot on with their comedic timing. Their singing was great, too!The food came out in waves during various breaks in the play. The chicken was super hot and very juicy. The chicken had excellent flavor. Even my picky eater 12 year old son devoured the chicken! We brought my in-laws as well as my 12 year old and 10 year old to the show. The adult themed jokes werent raunchy that my kids shouldnt have been there. Most of any adult themed jokes in the show went over my kids heads. My kids enjoyed the show and enjoyed eating with their hands.I strongly recommend Canterbury Feast at the Station Theater.

This was our first visit and we loved it. The food that was served during the performance was wonderful and plentiful, except it could have been a little hotter. The actors stayed in character even when they were serving us and interacted with us regularly. We sat in the first row of tables and had an excellent view of the stage. You have to get out of the theater room to get to the washrooms which were easily accessible. The decor in the bar and waiting areas is stylish but old-fashioned which is to be expected for this type of establishment. The bartender was friendly and helpful in explaining the drinks that were selected as the specials for this performance. We are returning this month as we enjoyed the experience.

The Canterbury Feast is a dinner experience that you should invite a group of friends to at least annually! So much fun! Bring a fork to plant on someone lol!

Lots of fun. The cast are your wait staff and are constantly IN CHARACTER until everyone has left. Good food, drinks a tad pricey, and The Canterbury Feast has to be experienced to be believed. The cast come out of their stage characters and into medieval garb and characters of knaves and wenches (showing their charms, you dont want to miss that either), food is eaten medieval style, no silverware. Tip if you attend, DO NOT smuggle in a fork or dipping sauce, it wont end well.

Always live this place. Food is good served by the cast. Seating is at round tables for 8. I like going here as a single person because I not only have a good meal and see a great show, but also meet a lot of wonderful people

This is the countrys longest running dinner theater. Its local community theatre so dont expect Broadway quality. The food is prepared there and quite good, adult beverages are available. The menu changes for each performance. At The Canterbury Feast the theme is medieval and youre served food including an entire roast chicken and *no silverware*, those who bring their own will be called out. The plays are good, the actors are also your waitstaff and remain IN character until everyone has left. A good time is had be all.

Love the shows. The food and the cast are amazing. Been going there around 4 years now. Old train station. Food is served family style in buckets except for Canterbury feast where individual 2 1/4 pound chickens are served. The performers are also the servers. Shows last 3-4 hours. Worth every minute.

Went 4-13-19 with a group who go annually. We were very excited since we heard rave reviews about both the play and the food. The play lived up to the hype. The show was very funny!Sadly the food was among the worst we have had at a restaurant. The meal was served family style and stingy amounts for tables of 8. We had to get refills of almost everything served. The salad was different with the refill. The first was different lettuces with paper thin cucumbers and a few cherry tomatoes. Since there wasnt enough to go round the table we asked for a refill. The refill was probably a bag of salad from Wegmans with nicer chunks of cucumber. The bean soup was the worst Ive ever had. The water thin broth tasted like bologna with assorted canned? beans tossed in. This tasted like it was thrown together 5 minutes before serving it.The main course was bbq ham which isnt even a real dish, especially the way it was served. A ham not cooked or heated, was sliced up put in the metal bucket used for serving and bottled bbq sauce dumped in. Nothing heated or cooked. The roast turkey with gravy was not any better. The turkey was precooked. The thin gravy was tasteless. The mini baked potatoes were tiny potatoes boiled or baked not sure which. Some were dark from either being from leftovers or bad. Didnt try it to know which was the case. The other potatoes were way undercooked. One of our group shot a potato across the room trying to cut it not knowing it was raw.The steamed vegetables were basic out of a bag.For dessert a fruit compote? Well we found all the corn starch that could have helped thicken the turkey gravy. A tiny dish of sweet glue with a couple pieces of fruit. Nasty. We were told the chef was new. New or not this chef does not know how to cook!My last observation is the metal buckets used to serve the food is cute but is not practical since food that should be served hot cannot be without risk of the servers or the patrons being burned.

Canterbury Feast for 2018 features a delightful new show written by long time cast member David Durst. There are the usual imaginative song parodies & cute double entendre jokes that have always been a part of this annual events charm, but David managed to throw a few unexpected plot twists into this new storyline which ups the entertainment factor. This years cast includes many new faces, but led by David & his comedically gifted wife Pam, they rise to the challenge of continuing the 38 year tradition that is Eries, Canterbury Feast!Speaking of feast, Id be remiss if I didnt include a few words about the, finger lickin good dinner, which the cast serves up between acts. From the opening course of salad, fresh bread, & a very tasty beef vegetable soup, thru one of the juiciest whole roast chickens Ive ever had the pleasure to consume, & culminating in a deliciously creamy, multi-flavored dessert that Id love to have the recipe for, the dinner alone is worth the ticket price. Our group included two of my sisters grandsons ages 10 & 13.These two rarely agree on anything, but they both cleaned their plates & enjoyed the show so much that as we were leaving they asked, Can we come back here again?

When we arrived, we were hungry. To have had the cups in the table and the Bread and coffee/tea served promptly would have been appreciated. We had to wait until after the first scene to be served. Soup was excellent, the main course was ok. Beef excellent, chicken was dry, potatoes ok, beans were burnt. Than the desert was ok, not great. I think it would have been better if the actors served but someone else bussed the tables. Too too long. The play itself was quite good. Pretty funny.

If such thing as a divey theater exists , this is it!It was fun, it was different, it was awesome! Dont expect 5 stars high end meal, but its tasty and plentiful. Me and my girlfriend went to see 35th Canterbury feast and had a blast. Adult humor throughout ( please dont bring your kids with you). Canterbury feast meals are served without silverware.( This is the only one, you get your silverware with other shows) It was different. Salad, soup, whole stuffed chicken, dessert. Funny show. Loved it!

We went this past Friday night for the first time. It was so funny I needed a panty liner lol. My husband almost died when he seen the 2 fairy men it was priceless. The food was soooo good and they gave us a lot, we needed a doggy bag. Can’t wait for the Christmas show. Bring the whole family for that. Thanks everyone for making our 1st dinner theater show memorable.

Review №56

Perhaps they have gotten a new chef since some of the past reviews on the food. I was just there for the show, Drinking Habits and the food was amazing! The production was hilarious and the experience was fantastic in spite of the theater being small. Granted, a couple of the actors were not as good as the others and it is not a New York City quality presentation, but it is a small town after all. I want to go back so bad that I would mind seeing the same show again. The roast beef and chicken were SO tender and good that I had three servings! It is served home style so the table passes around the food and plates it themselves.Over all, if you are a performance critic, you may have a gripe, but, if you are a less judgemental person who is forgiving of the occasional new actor (not all of them mind you) you will have a blast.
