This course according to my older brother said this golf course its like walking a nature trail while playing golf. If youre lucky you could see Goliath the gator, other alligators, bald eagles ospreys and even woodpeckers The price is very reasonable for the quality of the course you get The greens were green the fairways were properly cut and the roughs were difficult but not impossible had a great experience The staff were super friendly answered all the questions. And most importantly during the time of pandemic they were very strict with their guidelines one customer per car a certain amount of people at the pro shop at a single time very impressive friendly and professional and most important very affordable

This is a very fair and reasonably priced golf course with 27 holes.Your golf cart will die if driven too close to the green. For those of you who are not aware of that, just put it in reverse and back away from the green.

Played here today. The course is in great shape! The pro shop personnel very friendly. Had lunch after the round and it was very good. A great day

Ryan who is in the Pro Shop has taken care of me and my girlfriend very well. He is extremely knowledgeable and very well spoken. I’ve played their twice and each time I’ve talked to him, he always gives me tips to improve my game. Clearly the man loves what he does. Will be back!

This is a fun golf course. Play the Ts that fit your game and enjoy. Gators birds rabbits on this country course. No houses or roads so you feel like your in rural Florida. Not a fancy course but the fees are reasonable.Great staff and good cold beer and sandwiches.

My wife and I played 9 holes a week ago, and returned for a second nine on Friday Jan. 24. We enjoyed our first round on the Blue course, reasonable condition, nice layout. Unfortunately on our second visit, the starter was extremely rude, barking orders at us like we were not really supposed to be there. We completed the fifth hole in Sixty three minutes and a “ranger” standing on the sixth tee admonished us for slow play. He too was very arrogant, condescending and actually ignorant about pace of play. There were no groups pushing us, nor held up by us, in fact we rarely saw another group. He had no idea of the time we teed off, our cart number nor standard pace of play at that point on the course. We finished the sixth hole and the group behind us had not reached the tee block. So Mr Almighty ranger, I would like an apology. You ruined the game for four “guests” of your club, “guests “ that apparently are not welcomed there.To the owner: a serious look into the attitude of you staff is certainly needed. I hope their remuneration reflects their professionalism. We will probably not be returning.

Great condition, all staff friendly.

Come here with deep pockets and expect rude employees. Cant wait for summer when theyre begging people to play. They need to do something about the rodents eating the greensif you think youre going to use this facility as a free practice area think again. They will send somebody out and rudely tell you to leave.Doesnt matter whether you play here or not. Note to management. Save your apologies. Its all for show. Happy to go to Venice East in pitch and putt for free all I want.

We had a great time playing this course and highly recommend Myakka Pines to any fellow golfers. With a peaceful nature setting we saw a lot of wildlife through out the day, truley amazing! The staff was friendly and their new golf carts with gps course map screens and usb ports made our play much more enjoyable. Myakka Pines is definitely our most favorite course to play since moving to the area.

Beautiful today playing the Red 9 which is my favorite. Excellent condition but greens a tad slow for my liking. Good value

The starter was extremely rude and very arrogant acted they could care less if we were there. Then the starter went back and then started talking and making fun of us after we tee’d off. Also using very inappropriate language with kids in attendance. Young kid in pro shop was not very nice at all especially to his elders. NOT worth the money for the service / staff. Course is decent condition greens are very slow and dried out but the bunkers have very nice sand!

Good course but a little pricy

The starter was a rude old man. We had a 9:44 tee time and were there at the tee box all warmed up waiting for him to show. When he drove over he said you are late and let a 4some go ahead of us [ a 2some]. I asked him what time it was and after staring at his watch for several seconds he said 9:45. He saw us sitting waiting for him before our tee time he just wanted to be confrontational.

First time playing there. Great course. Well taken care of. Fairways were nice and green with lots of roll. Excellent greens. Some were recently aerated but still rolled well. Interesting holes. Like starting off with a par 5. Gets you going! Friendly workers providing a good atmosphere. Had hot dogs after round. So good. Split and grilled on a toasted grilled bun. Great time! Will be back soon.

Very slow play waiting 20 mins each hole. Was not allowed to wear jeans website did not say no jeans. Building very tired an worn down. Course was nice but way to slow.

The best public golf course in southern Sarasota County. Tees, fairways and greens were in very good conditions. One of the things I like is the fact that there are no houses on the course.

My first time playing Myakka Pines Golf Course was great. I actually got a birdie on one hole!!! Your greens are fast & challenging. Your wildlife kept me entertained in between shots.

Staff was friendly and very helpful. Was given information on memberships. Met the GM and he also sent me info on the course and membership via email as Im looking to move into the area. Played with some local gents. Very friendly atmosphere. Course was little thick in rough due to not being able to cut because of rain. Course and greens were in good shape though. Challenging but friendly to higher handicapper. Will be back, definitely.

Course is in nice shape. It was a bit soft in some spots, due to the 5 inches of rain the prior week. It didnt hamper play. Enjoyable, comfortable atmosphere to spend time with friends.

My rating is based on the on-line reservation and result. The on-line system is great! Very user friendly and clearly you are booking a particular time, price and # of people that time is available for. I booked a 4:10 t-time for 3 people. When we arrived at 3:50 to check in, we were told we would not t-off until around 5:10 (hour later than booked) and maybe not have a cart, which was included, and it would still cost the same. Not even offered discount for 9 holes and no cart which we were very likely to end up with.

Just played the white and blue courses on December 23. The course was in great shape and it was a beautiful setting. Met and played with the new club manager TK. He was very welcoming and friendly. Made me feel right at home there.Had lunch after our round. Had one of the specials and it was very good! The kitchen staff was very friendly.The rest of the golf staff was very nice and friendly too. Would definitely play here again!People have to remember this is strictly a golf club, not a country club!

Played here twice this past week November 16 to 25 of 2013, actually it is more accurate to say that I was on the course. Our group of 6 Canadians enjoyed the course a lot. The layout was fine, a bit forgiving but also challenging, lots of room. The course is in great shape but we did notice that the greens were a bit slow, maybe getting ready for the weekend. We enjoyed the wildlife, many birds a few alligators and a group of water moccasins (stay away!). The price is definitely right, half the price of another course but more to offer. The staff were outstanding. The pro shop people and the starter (originally from Windsor) were very helpful and friendly. The lunch area staff were fantastic, the food is definitely not gourmet but we enjoyed the American flavour. Other golfers were very friendly, one club was left on a green and returned on the course. The cart shop people were helpful to me in particular. I thought I had lost a driver cover and he helped me search every cart and the lost and found, way out of his way. (My buddy had picked it up for me). We played here last year and will play again next year.

One of the nicest Golf courses around no houses and quiet Great Golf course.

Played there last Nov. Thanksgiving week. Was really impressed with the course and all the employees. Was a very crowded day and the starter managed to get everybody started in a professional way. Would love to play there again.

Went to hit range balls with my wife. Rude guy at the desk said it was for members only. 4 people were hitting balls. No apologies. No suggestions. Pretty much we dont need your business. I have played there several times in the past. Thanks to one JERK I wont go back.

I would like to give this course a better rating but the starter was so unbelievably rude I was stunned. He berated the couple in front of us for getting lost and arriving a few minutes before tee time. Then he yelled at our son for not having his own clubs when his arm was clearly completely bandaged and we had paid for him to ride only. The starter is a first impression and he makes an awful one
