This store is awesome. I have been to many adult shops on my travels. I was in the area on business looking for a gift for my wife. Of course being a man i had no idea what to buy for her. One of the lovely sales ladies showed me a few products that were great for my price range let me tell you they also have great prices. I checked out another store around that area it was like all the same stuff and wayyyyy over priced that store had the same item for $60 and Bookends had it for $30 they look out for their customers. Anyways the sales lady was great she was so informative and made me feel very comfortable talking about such an intimate item. My wife loved the toy i got for her. I would come back and even tell my friends about this business. So for stock, prices, location, discreetness, clean well lit , sales associates i give it a 5 start rating. Stopped in this past weekend too check out the store which was referred to me by a friend, I was very impressed with the large selection of things they carry, cleanliness and easy to locate what I was looking for was a major plus, the employees were also very helpful. I will be returning again in the future and spreading the word about this store.

Ive been going to this place on and off for two years and undoubtedly they have amazing selections and pretty fair prices but it is always off putting and extremely uncomfortable with how employees lurk behind you, following intensly ( even when its a full store myself and/or friends are followed), and insisting or suggesting they hold your items At the cashier to make it easier. I can get the precaution if I was a one time shopper but I am not...you can at least try to memorize the faces a bit or even remember my name since I get carded on and off. I was there 3 days ago had to deal with this went today again with a friend and it was worst. She felt so annoyed I just said we will start going to another one. Great place in many ways but this was too much.

Went here today on a whim on my break from work and might I say I enjoyed this store!! Usually most adult novelty stores just feel weird to me and the lightning usually is dark and weird, but this store does not give me that vibe lol the employees were helpful and the products were amazing! I live all the way in Hartford but Im going to have to come back with my boyfriend and bestfriends lol

I have visited many adult stores in the area i found Bookends to be the largest store i have been to. The selection of adult toys they have is amazing. The prices are great too! The staff was very helpful. With so many options i was kind of lost on finding the product i needed but the sales lady was very helpful. The store is very clean and decorated nice for the fall theme. They had a lot of dvds. I ended up getting a great toy. While at the register the sales lady made sure my item worked properly showed me how to charge it and everything it came with. With my battery items the same they also gave me free batteries with the items. They were very informational with all the lubricants the had and what one was good with my items. If you are looking for a store to check out this is the one! By far my favorite and i will be telling all my friends. Thanks for the information and the great customer service which is hard to find now a days. I will be coming back for the holidays!

Came to Bookends for the first time tonight. It was such an amazing store. There was so much to choose from. I was surprised to see that they had so many items. The prices were very good compared to other stores. The store was clean and smelled so good. The two ladies that were there were so helpful and didnt make me feel embarrassed at all (not that I was). Today was my first experience in a shop like this and at first i was nervous and felt slightly way to immature (at 28) to be allowed inside but once i got all my giggles out i was able to get what i was there for. The lady at the counter instantly welcomed me. I Browsed a bit then she ON HER OWN came over to to see if i needed any help. She was the most professional woman i have ever met. She was confident knowledgeable understanding and willing. She listened to me and gave me options. She didnt push me into anything i didnt want. I chose my own item although i think i underestimate myself. I will most definitely be returning!!!

Walking into a store like this, I was expecting awkwardness and shame. Instead, I found a store with many couples and individuals looking for fun products for themselves. The sales staff were incredibly welcoming and consultative, and helped me pick out exactly what I was looking for, and in my budget. Very much looking forward to going back and giving them repeat business!

Great store. The employees were very welcoming and knew what they were talking about. The prices are really good to for the quality of items you get (trust me when I say this I bought an adult toy off a website what a nightmare. Lets just say when a toy retails for $50 and you get it on line for $20 its to good to be true. My wand set on fire YES ON FIRE ). They had a great selection of adult toys and a huge selection of lubricants and massage oils. I would rate 5 stars on prices as well compared to other stores. The girl working today helped me pick out a great new toy, lubricant and toy cleaner for under $50 oh and not to mention I got a CBD lollipop as well. They also gave me a free set of batteries with my items. The girl took the time to battery it up and go though all the functions with me to make sure I knew what I was getting and to make sure I liked my item. The place is clean and well stocked.I will be coming back to this store for my next purchase. I also have to laugh because as a long time resident of Enfiled I always thought BOOKENDS was a book store. haha.

By far the best store i have even been to. Great prices. I was in a few days ago to buy some items for a trip. They have so much stuff! The staff was great. They tested my item and explained to me how use the different functions of this item it had like 60 functions! Amazing place.

I called asking for a product I was going go get for my wife and they didnt have which was no biggie. They had a smaller cheaper version there, but when I asked for then price they wouldnt tell me (I live 40 minutes away and didnt want to waste my time and gas). So I get there and check out the item and it was way over priced (my wife use to work at an adult store). I ended up buying the actual more expensive item she wanted offline for less with taxes and shipping and handling added then what they wanted for the cheaper version before taxes.

I went in not knowing exactly what I was looking for. While browsing I was approached by an associate, Nikki. She was super helpful and knowledgeable. She was able to answer all my questions and offer suggestions based on my/my partners comfort level. This establishment is an amazing place to go if youre looking to change things up in the bedroom. No matter how comfortable you are or arent, this is the place to go. You are very welcome when you come in and all the employees make you feel welcome. NO NEED TO WORRY ABOUT JUDGEMENT.

This store is horrible i went there for a simple lube and they tried to sell me everything but lube. I left with not a damn thing. Id also like to point out that most of their reveiws are from the staff that works there to make the place look better. Did they think customers wouldnt notice? Just a straight pass for next time. If i could leave 0 stars i would.

Hi everyone wanted to share my experience at this store. I have to say it is by far the best store that I have been to. It’s clean and the staff are very friendly. They have a lot to choose from and the prices are good for what you get. Personal experience I have purchased a item on amazon and it was very cheap the horrible part is that it said it was silicone and come to find out it was LATEX! Do you definitely pay for what you get! Never again will I use amazon for its products. You never know what is true or false and worst part is amazon said they would take my product back just to think of what they will do with it makes me cringe. I love the policy that Bookends doesn’t take returns once you leave for obvious reasons (you don’t know if someone has used it or not I sure don’t want something someone has taken home and decided to try to ehchange ew) they checked my items to make sure it worked properly and even explained how to charge it. I have never had that service at another store before so that was a good plus. I have to say that we loved our items we purchased and how discreet the shopping experience was. I will be back for certain! I am a huge review reader and some of the reviews that are negative are very hard to believe. Check the store out for your self. I bet you will love it!

Very upset I had informed the young lady what I wanted and told her specifically what I need she took me to the area and pointed out. When I bought and walk out to the car and decided to look at what I bought without the box it was not what I had ask for. Told her about it, spend close to 70 bucks on something I did not discribe at all she said she was Sorry no exchange or refund literally me being there there less then 5 min. So, I stopped in here the other night... I am a frequent/regular customer of Bookends and honestly I am not ashamed to say it!!! I just wanted to take a quick moment to say how awesome it looked for the holidays and appreciate the endless possibilities of Christmas gifts I was able to find for all my closest friends (yes the adult ones) Not only did I find super cute and hilarious holiday cards, but they were SUPER INEXPENSIVE. Now, for any person who has ever had a list longer than can be of people they choose to send Holidays to (I feel cards are more personal and thoughtful than simply sending someone any text, any message or any email)... but anyone like me who likes to give cards knows first-hand that they can be pretty expensive, especially when your buying a large amount of them and want to choose individual cards for each persons personality and sense of humor. Ive actually seen cards that cost over $10.00 before . I am so glad I stopped by and found all of your adorable, hilarious AND AFFORDABLE holiday cards!!! So, I will be happily sharing my secret and favorite place around where they can find all of those Holiday gifts that leave their friends with much much more than a smile on their faces .
