I was asked upon arrival to check my backpack for outside food. I am a medical professional and also diabetic. Yes, i do have sugar and sugar free protein bars, trail mix... Concession stand does NOT provide anything healthy or for special diets. I do not think that i have to choose between watching my childs tournament or going to my car to eat. I feel this gentleman searching bags is borderline harassment.

I cant believe the level of disrespectful I received upon entering Spirit for a volleyball tournament. The staff was rude upon asking to inspect our bags. I was rudely told to take my bags back to the car. As I explained I needed to get the drinks and snacks for my daughter out and that I had special requirements for my husband who just had surgery and had diet restrictions. As I went to get my daughter to get her drinks another man approached me and told me he didnt care what my excuse was and that I needed to get out. I said my daughter will be here all day and she needs her drinks for the games. He rudely told me he didnt know what my problem was, but that it wasnt his problem. These are 13 year old girls we are talking about. Worst club Ive been to.

This was hands down the worst volleyball club we have visited for a tournament. They force you to open your bags and go thru them at the door to make sure you arent bringing in outside food or drinks. They dont allow the athletes to bring a small cooler in to keep their drinks or small snacks cold. They make it so you have to either leave and go to your car to eat/drink (which I also assume the owner would throw a fit about considering he has signs up saying no tailgating, or you have to buy from his concession stand. His food choices are better than most but still have a long way to go if you want athletes to eat solely from your concession stand. The owner told our girls to leave their bags openo so he could walk thru while they were playing and go thru their bags. If i would witness him doing so I would have been making a phone call to the police. He has zero rights to do such a thing. Talking with parents from his own club, they cant stand him and told me stories that if my daughter went there she wouldnt be and he and i would have been having a conversation about the way he speaks to young girls.i strongly suggest finding a new club if you cant as the parents said they never have the same coach year to year and sometimes midseason the coaches quit because they cant get along with the owner. The layout for the weekend was odd. One court barely had any seating and yet the championship game was played on that court. He blocks off two courts that are prime locations to set up a table for merchandise. High prices merchandise that all weekend I didnt see a single sale happen because no one wants a shirt from these types of small tournaments and thats evident by all the shirts that he has printed that simply say volleyball on them. The club has very little parking and the sidewalks are a joke. Be prepared to walk thru mud if its not frozen ground. The guy directing ppl to park did such a bang up job parking ppl next door at a facility that has signs that say no spirit volleyball parking anytime Violators will be towed. And then if you arent lucky enough to get parked by the road you get parked in or have to drive thru the yard of thru the yard of the company that is clearly tired of spirit parking ppl in their parking lot. There is one employee who is forced to check bags that clearly doesnt agree with the owners rules (which you are force fedball weekend as they try giving you their paper with the rules and menu every chance they get. But this employee didnt enforce the rules the first day of the tournament to the extent he had to the second day because the owner wasnt there the first day. He apologized to everyone who had to carry their coolers back to the car or open their bags for him to inspect as the owner stood across the gym staring at the door to make sure they were being inspected properly. The owner makes this club far worse than it actually is but our girls also said some of the parents from the club were rude and made comments to them as they were playing and challenging the refs calls the entire game almost dictating what the ref was supposed to call. Two parents from another team confirmed that they had similar experience with parents from the club saying these things. So maybe the owner rubs off on it players and parents or something.

We rent this place for practice sometimes and even a game once. I like their rubber floor. Gives you bounce to ur jump and you dont get tired as quickly. You also dont feel scarred to make a hard dive. The club is too expensive tho, I mean come on.

Bag inspection is un called for at tournaments. Note to Management diabetes requires a special diet of which your snack shack does not supply. you may want to consider that, before an attorney considers it for you.

Tony is completely dishonest in the way he handles the cost for training lessons . He raised the prices 40 percent for no reason and then blamed the cost increase on the trainer . We have had 5 coaches and the season is not even over . The first 4 coaches quit and through a number of problems would not show up to the practices and to the tournaments. I would not recommend this club to any one. Tony is disrespectful in the way he talks to the girls and he takes things to an unprofessional level . His coaching style is very discouraging and arguably harmful considering our team has had no consistent coaching from the beginning of this season . We won’t be back !

Nice club but a few shortcomings. Over the top on inspecting bags at the door. OVR rules say the girls can bring a small snack in with them, they were challenging ANY food being brought in. To their credit, they did have a nice selection of food and had pre-order forms for subs. They have nets around 3 of the 4 courts. After a day of watching through the nets your eyes are a little tired. Not a pleasant experience. The tournament we were at had 12 teams requiring 3 courts for bracket play. Court 4 is open to the side with seating on 3 sides. They did not use this court, instead they used court 2 that has limited bleachers seating on only one side of half the court. Did not make any sense. That being said, it is a nice club but not the most enjoyable for a tournament.

Horrible. Owner would not allow our kids to bring in snacks or water so he could get a few more pennies out of us. Never experienced this before with any other tournament. On top of that he was extremely rude! No thanks
