Wonderful fall colors at the reservation today. Great place to get out any time of the year to get out and connect with the wilderness any time of the year.

Excellent paved running trail, perfect 10k. A few hills but nothing crazy.

Its a beautiful park. The trails are well-kept, theres a playground, small field, and wooded walk. Also: bathrooms.

We love walking here with our dog. Only complaint it how busy it can be, but that is not the fault of the park. Plenty of parking and nice trails and the hidden waterfall is gem

A very nice place to take a walk, spend time with friends and family, have a picnic all while enjoying the outdoors. There are many trails, bridges, hills, local wild life and even a nice river for fishing or just hanging out on the banks with someone you care about. A all around great experience for friends and family at no cost to you.

This ranger randomly stopped and offered up his bike as a photo opp for the kids. They loved it!

This is a great trail to walk, it offers so many different types of scenery, even a waterfall.

Beautiful place for a picnic

I hauled the kayaks down here to launch into the Black River. It is a long walk from the parking lot to the designated launch area. I wouldnt have found it if it werent for other people to ask. Once I was down there I saw it was nothing more then a spot where they removed trees to access the water. There is no launcher of any kind here. The water was shallow and very fast moving for the first 3 to 4 miles. I got stuck on the bottom quite a bit. I am sure this would change if we had some rain. It is very scenic and cant wait to paddle this in the fall when the leaves are changing color. After the first several miles down the river I arrived in the area of the steel plant. The water was deep and still. It was less pretty and more industrial looking. I know that I could have turned right and the intake markers and recovered at the ramp in French Creek but opted to paddle down to the lake. The industrial look continued as I passed under several bridges and around big sweeping bends. Once I got under the draw bridge I could see the lighthouse. I paddled out and walked around the lighthouse a bit. Before returning to the East side of the pier to pull my kayak out of the water the Coast Guard did stop me to check for the presents of a life jacket and registration sticker. There is a small boat ramp on the East side of the pier that was able to pull out at and call a buddy to come get me. All in all the river is a good paddle that was just over 10 miles one way for my journey. I wish it was deeper in the beginning and the launch was more then just a river bank.

Has great walking trail. Only complaint i have is that theydo not tell you that it is a one way trail. It does not wrap around it goes from parking area about 4 miles to another parking area that is very far from where you parked and started your walk. Went almost to the end of the trail before realizing that it did not wrap around and take us back to the parking lot we had parked in so we had to turn around and walk back the way we came. Besides thus it is a great place to go for a trail walk and see some nature

Nice trails and views, good for taking the dog for a walk or just hit the trails

Decent park maintained year round. Nothing very exciting, but good for a bit of mid-distance walking even in the dead of winter. Mile markers start at the meadows South of I-90, and trail continues through the old steel mill grounds to the north of the main park.

This place is beautiful. Nice place for a long walk with the dogs. Also a beautiful place for a cookout or picnic.

Hidden gem.

Enjoyed a different veiw walking my dogs. Ranger is usually around which is comforting. Trails and walk/ride areas clean.

Paved roads so you can take those in wheel chairs for a good walk. The view are spectacular along the walk.. 2 bridges for views and a path to the River. However some and I am sure where ever you go, people on bikes can be rude to you but dont let that stop you from enjoying this place!

Went to a concert there, had a great time

Awesome area for family or group outings. Playground for children. Grills for cooking and covered pavilions with long tables and benches. Great area.

Not the best place for dog walking. Just one major path that is shared by bikers, joggers, and families. Im a dog guy, so I had to be on high alert all the time to try and not get in peoples way. If they added off-shore dirt paths it would be a great improvement.

Wonderful place to walk and bike ride, make sure you are hydrated and take water.

Beautuful walking part ways. Places to sit and rest. Even a port a potty along the trail. There is a nature preserve for birds. And plenty of deer to see.

Love the park but sure do not understand the mile markers, the first mile marker you see is 1.0 than the next is 2.5 however the nike run says its 2miles total from the marker and yet according to the mile marker 2.5 it should be a 1.5 mile run from that marker. It s annoying as Im not sure what the heck it is anymore.
