Since the house is closed right now due to Covid, I can’t say much about it. But if you’re coming only for the gardens, they’re not expansive. There’s a pretty but small formal garden in back of the house, and an overgrown cutting garden on the other side of the entrance road, as well as a local community garden area.Maybe you can find the small mausoleum in the woods that’s noted on the map. I looked but couldn’t find it. Looks interesting. There are woods trails as well. Looks like a vibrant place for community events in normal times.

I am family so I am a bit partial. I am grateful for all that you do to preserve my fathers familys home. My grandchildren were amazed last summer when they saw their connection. Thank you!

Glad I went while I was in the area. Staffs are friendly and personal. Self-guided audio tour makes it easier to walk around the building on your own pace. Highly recommended.

We went for the Holiday High Tea and to see the Christmas trees on display. Nice old house with some history. I cant honestly rate how it is when the holiday season is not on display, but the Christmas decor and the tea were great.

The Woodlawn museum itself is beautiful, a wonderful learning experience for the whole family. Come prepared to spend a few dollars in their nostalgic gift shop. The hill out back is excellent for sledding!

Trails only and that gives you a nice walk in the forest, part borders on a RV park but theyre harmless. Lots of fern, quiet for the most part, some big with boardwalks to keep dry.
