I grew up going to Brookside park with my Ellington friends. I grew up in Rockville. My daughter is now just shy of 2 and all the parks we were visiting didnt have anything specifically for her age group. Brookside has SUCH a great setup for 2-5 year olds. Even a huge sandbox in the corner. Its wonderful. She could play on it without me worrying it was too advanced. Plus SHE had a blast which is the most important. It was very quiet too, which I liked a lot. (It was a weekday morning though) They also have picnic tables and they are shaded which is also super nice.

This has been an outstanding facility for many years. Personally, I am very happy it was renamed to Robert Tedford Memorial Park. Bob Tedford was a valuable force to upgrade & update Brookside over the years and it is only fitting that it now bears his name.

Quality preschool and school-age playgrounds in the same lot. The one less star is for how hot the slides were because everything is dark-colored.
