Very disappointing. We were so excited to join as this is very close to our home. However our first class was cancelled last minute and only communicated via email- so we ended up driving out anyway. The 2nd class was also cancelled. Make up classes were offered- however- when you sign up for a class time based on your schedule you intend to go to the class you signed up for. They were no help when we explained we could not make it to the make up class times. At least in my case they seemed uncaring to our circumstance and communication was very lacking. It took me 5 emails and 3 phone calls to finally have someone call me back 2 weeks later.

What a disappointment. They cancelled 2 of our classes in a row, then my daughter got sick for 2 weeks. We are unable to make it to classes on other days of the week, but despite only being able to attend one class, these folks refuse to allow us to utilize the time we paid for in the next session, but instead are having a “make up weekend” where they suggest we make up all 5 classes. At least in our situation, these folks have been unhelpful and we will not be back nor will we recommend them to anyone we know. So sad considering how close they are to where will live...we would have signed our daughter up for a ton of classes.

My granddaughter has been a student at Leaps and bounds for several years. She is now an Xcel National Champion gymnast. This is the place to be.

My Granddaughter attended Lil Leaps Preschool and had the most wonderful experience! Miss Bev was the most fun and caring teacher a parent could ask for!She also attended gymnastics lessons at Leaps and Bounds. She had a great time, made wonderful friends, and improved her athleticism. She would still be attending classes but chose to try a few new sports instead.

Owner is very unprofessional , drops classes without notifying parents. Coaches dont teach the kids enough, very slow at progressing in gymnast skills. Now the preschool there is nothing short of a joke. They have random days off, children are not taught basic skills the teacher (owner) bases her field trips on her own (older) daughters age groups (because she is attending) and not on the 3-4 year olds children age group that pay money to attend this school. Save your money and go somewhere that actually cares about the students and the parents.

When I started looking at preschools for my daughter I was looking for a place that would have a solid curriculum, allow time for play, and also opportunity for large motor skill development. I am so glad a friend told me about the preschool at Leaps & Bounds. It was a perfect fit.My daughter started the year a bit uncoordinated and lacking in confidence. By the end of the school year not only had she learned a lot, she had become much more confident and coordinated with her physical abilities. My second child goes there now and we plan to send our youngest when he’s old enough. The preschool generally follows the Elkhart Community School’s calendar and takes the district’s lead for delays and cancellations. The only “random” days off were days when the county had restricted travel after the flooding last Spring. As the mother of a child with some sensory issues, I was pleased with how the teachers responded to and worked with her. As the mother of a couple energetic little boys, I am relieved to have found a preschool like this. The kids get a half hour each day of time devoted to developmentally appropriate tumbling/gymnastics activities. You won’t find that in other preschools. After attending preschool at Leaps, my daughter entered Kindergarten well prepared. As far as field trips, I don’t think any of them have been inappropriate for the age. Over the last two years there have been field trips to a farm, an RV plant (not during production hours) to see an assembly line, a planetarium that used Sesame Street characters in their program, Ruthmere, and Amish Acres. As far as the regular gymnastics program, my daughter recently started lessons, and I am pleased with what I have seen.Overall, I have found the owner and staff to be knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely interested in seeing kids succeed in all areas of life.I highly recommend giving Leaps & Bounds a try for gymnastics and/or preschool.

Extremely unprofessional. An owner/ coach that speaks poorly of gymnasts and their parents on her Facebook. Especially when she is bashing children. We made the choice to switch gyms because a FAMILY member owns another gym. We started at Leaps knowing that if our daughter enjoyed gymnastics, we would switch her after a year or so. It was NOTHING personal. So Leaps coaches took it upon their selves to tell the team our daughter quit when she didnt show up to one practice. Our daughter had to hear at school from friends that the owner told everyone she quit. I am extremely disappointed in this gym and staff. These are children you are affecting. You are not hurting our feelings as parents. Only sad for our children. Cheer your gymnasts on if they grow and decide to move on. Do not bash our children. Be happy they started with you and you gave them a love for gymnastics. Our daughter did not quit. She was forced out and didnt want to come because of the things coaches were saying.
