Love this place! People here are friendly and they always have a great selection of saltwater fish and corals. They also sell new and used aquariums (including ones for reptiles) and filters/pumps.

I was very impressed with this LFS. Store is clean and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable. They were even willing to spend an hour just talking to me and providing advice. They have a customer for life after how I was treated. Also, they have been super willing to order whatever I have needed for fish and have kept and quarantined them for me!

Northside Aquatics is the ideal place to go if you want to learn how to properly keep a healthy, thriving aquarium. I bought 3 Harlequin Rasboras from Randy, and unfortunately 2 of them passed away within the first week of me owning them.Not only did he replace the fish I lost (it was definitely owner error, not Northside), he and his staff helped me get to the bottom of the problem. It turns out I simply needed an air stone in my tank! Now I have very healthy and active fish thanks to them.I will continue shopping with them for all of my aquatic needs. You could not ask for a nicer, more available and attentive group of people who are so clearly passionate and knowledgeable about what they do.

Great prices, fun environment. I had a really sick fish I did not want to lose, the owner knew exactly what to give me to save my fish. My fish is alive an well thanks to these guys! Anything you want they can get if you havent been here before it is a must if you are just starting out, or a aquarium hobbyist. These guys will help you out freshwater or salt.

I got into aquariums a couple months ago and was trying to find a good shop with rare fish, good supplies, knowledgeable staff, and good pricing. From the first visit here I knew that I had found exactly what I was searching for and SO much more. The employees feel more like friends, they have staff that knows answers to questions I didnt even know to ask, the pricing on their excellent quality supplies is always great, and they have really awesome selections for fish and coral! I recommend anyone that is into aquariums or not go in and visit. The shop is a great place to go wether its for business or for family time. Id like to thank them personally for helping me out so much!

I wasnt too sure about stopping in once I seen that it was operated on private property but I am certainly glad I did. They were extremely helpful and provided us with a bunch of information about the tank we had that failed us as well as information going forward that we will need.They have many tanks and fish as well as the ability to order more and even repaint the new stand for us. We are more than happy with the service provided and will be returning when we need more supplies.

Their selection is amazing and they are very reasonably priced. They even take trades on certain things. I love their frag tank, baby coral!

Overall not a bad shop, little pricey on certain items. Friendly and helpful thoughEdit: no longer will be coming here, the owner is a joke. Their trade ins are pennies to to actual value of items. Been over charged and pointed it out they refused to refund what they had over charged me. Ive showed them the sales prices to the fish they got in and was refused a price match. I will be a Karen when you arent going to even go through with the promises you made on my previous review. Their quality of fish has also gone down drastically. A lot of ick, and beat up fish that die quickly.

Its kinda off the beaten path but I am very happy I stumbled across this place! By far the best aquatics store I have found so far and I have traveled far and wide anywhere up to 50 miles around Warsaw! Its a small shop but its packed with awesome fish and great deals!

Little known gem! Honest people who love the hobby and want to help others get into it too! They will work with your budget, price match, and take things in on trade (even cars). The owner does his best to run the shop despite being under construction so local marine enthusiasts have a great place to come visit! They also repair and service equipment too, and carry parts for almost every brand out there. Highly suggest checking them out!

First time visiting this establishment. A bit of a hike up two flights of stairs, but who can complain about free cardio? LOL! Was greeted by the very hospitable owner. He was quite informative on a number of topics, and made me feel welcome. I was impressed with the setup, layout, and wide selection. High quality throughout. Based on this initial visit, I can see myself becoming a regular customer!

The service was amazing and they are extremely knowledgable. The aquascapes are unbelievable and the selection is great. I am especially impressed by the fact they can get you whatever you want. A definite must see.

The place was not marked, its actually in the back of a house, once you find it you have to climb 3 flights of stairs to be disappointed, the fish selection was slim to none, the few fish that were available didnt look healthy, they were burning leaves or trash outside that you could inhale on your way up the stairs

Randy was great! They have a great selection of saltwater fish. If they dont have the fish that you are looking for they can order it. The prices are the same as Petco. I will not go anywhere else now.

They need to be more honest it is 1 upstairs room ran out of an building behind his home. Amazing selection and prices for fish. But all the used tanks are OUTSIDE IN THE ELEMENTS. He tried selling us a 120 that looked like hell for over $200. It was just sitting out on the ground. No thank you.

Little hard to find, unsure if the location was a home or business (second floor above workshop). Felt like mostly saltwater fish but had a variety of merchandise and decor, plus the staff was friendly and answered all my questions. Will go again.

This place is an absolute joke. Not only do you have to damn near kill your self trying to even get into the place, but once you’re finally in the store, you’re more than likely to trip and fall and seriously get hurt with all the clutter in the store. They have very few saltwater fish in stock, the only thing that looked decent was their live rock... the staff was very cocky and very condescending, and tried talking to you like you’re the idiot, when it’s the opposite way around! One staff member told me to use Kroger water in a saltwater tank!! That’s a fatal rookie mistake! They act like their equipment is the greatest stuff on the market, but in reality it’s just a bunch of dirty, used and abused equipment that’s seen better days. I would not recommend anyone shopping here no matter how desperate you are.

Ive been in the Hobbie for over 52 years...and considered an Authority on Central and South American Cichlids. .raising and spawning. .My Favorites being Wild Discus and Wild Angel Fish..Ive also spawned many species or Tetra (some by accident lol) including Red belly Piranhas. .Im also into South American Catfish( including Corydoras.) which I have successfully spawned. With that said Im a hobbyists and collector first and foremost. .This Pet shop is a rarity these days. .It not only is a wonderful mom/pop shop..but they bring in more than just the bread and butter fish that you find in Petsmarts ,Petco, and Walmart...People travel to Chicago and Detroit to find hard to get fish..I do this at this local Petshop !..Their isnt to many Petshoos in this Area who dont know me by name..because I believe in patronizing Mom/Pop shops because they actually do more for you.. Like i said..Im definitely no novice. .and Ive listen to advice thats given at this gem. ...if they dont know the answer. .they at least dont fake it..So if your looking for more than just the normal bread and butter fish (the fish you can buy from Walmart ,Miejer, Petsmarts etc..give this place a try..you wont be disappointed. ..and if you get there and the selection is down...it just means you came after I was there...lol

For a shop that isnt nation wide, I was pleasantly surprised by not only their prices, stock and the quality of their merchandise but also knowledge and professionalism. Its getting more difficult to get saltwater supplies locally and for them to be able to have or get what I need fast, is awesome.
