Walked the trail. It closely follows the river and at the end is a HUGE bald eagles nest!! My son and I witnessed one of the 3 eagles fly in food to the other 2. We watched them eat and everything! One of the Greatest experiences of my life......A twisted oak tree, never in my life! Very cool.

Beautiful reserve and a great place to spy on some bald eagles who nest there. Right along the Mississippi and has a few good fishing spots including Baileys point.

Absolutely beautiful! Bailey Point is located in the heart of downtown Elk River. Situated at the confluence of the Elk and Mississippi Rivers, this is a beautiful piece of land. Groomed unpaved trails wind throughout the park, providing spectacular views of nature, including an eagles nest. Feel free to bring your camera, kids, and four-legged friends. There is no playground or camping, but Bailey Point does offer hiking and fishing. There is also a picnic table and portable restroom breast the parking lot.

This preserve is nice to walk around. It would be even better if they tared the entire path. People bring their dogs and dont seem to have common decency to pick up after them (even though they have baggies at the entrance). This place is home to a pair of bald eagles. With a perfect viewing spot to take pictures and write in the journal inside a box. They used to have binoculars as well, but somebody stole them! Its pathetic that some people always have to ruin a good thing by stealing.. Take a stroll down to the river they have benches too.

Nice trails along two rivers, the Elk and the Mississippi. This park was way cooler when it first opened. The city has been clearing out trees and making it feel less like you are in a wooded area and more like an average open city park. Dont forget to stop and look for the eagles nest.

Today when I went I was saddened to see so many trees cut down here! It looks so different, and not in a good way. I just dont understand why.
