A great place to stop and take a brisk walk or have a picnic. Bathrooms are clean and open, the groundskeepers keep up on everything making it look beautiful and safe. Plenty of parking, sports areas, historic school and museum, and shopping centers nearby.

Very fun for my German Shepherd the other one is too hyper. Max loved to jump threw the agility course. We had a blast. Max also loved to sniff the ducks and play with them too. ️

The pirate island is amazing why because there is a man made pond with an island and bridge..The island has a house and a sand box which is only open who knows when. But yes a bridge for a nice portrait..The park is big and lots of nice trees to take pics with a beautiful background..There is also lots of parking. So you can park anywhere or wherever you like closest to the pirate island..I see a random building in the park with dogs maybe they have a dog park too..Theres people who bbq, sit and relax and have a picnic, and people who do exercise and walk and etc..Its not too crowded or busy at the park. I do like the area because its in a nice neighborhood and kind of hidden. I discovered this gem by a friend who told me to help they capture a maternity photo shoot..Anyways great place to go to if you like to discover new parks and area. We love the dog park here, or should I say our Irish Wolfhound - Shannon - loves it. The grassy area is large, there are trees to provide shade, and a watering station.

First time here was ok,I expected a better to playground for the kids but overall park is nice but a little boring

This park is beautiful, my children love to walk around, only issue I have is all the poop but thats what happens when theres 100s of geese and ducks around. Will still visit as often as I can because its a great place to walk and get the kids enjoy it as well.

Pretty nice park! I was impressed that the grass was soft and green. Most parks are letting things dry out a bit.We walked the foot path around the whole park and didnt even notice the length. The scenery and conversation were a plesant distraction to the exercise.The one restroom I used appeared to be clean, though it was a bit dark. I didnt know if the lights were automatic or if I was expected to touch the walls.There is open grassiness, baseball diamonds, dog park, dirt track (bicycles) and pond. Quite a bit of space to stretch out in and enjoy your day.

Nice park, just lots of duck and goose and swan poop all over the walkways. Like, TONS. And no rangers enforcing the rules of no feeding the animals so its pretty nasty. The sports fields are all pretty run down, as are the benches, playground, pretty much everything. Definitely needs a facelift; it used to be beautiful... about 30 years ago.

I really enjoy this park! I usually go during the week and it doesnt feel crowded. I like how large the pond is so its a nice view when you are walking through the park. There are a lot of geese and ducks here which is cool but i have seen geese chasing people before so be cautious.

Great atmosphere and a beautiful area, great fishing and fun of all kinds from a dog park, to a skate park. Plenty of wildlife, and squirrels will take food from your hand, birds to take pictures of, and an excellent walking path. Plenty of grass for picnics and bbqs.

We lived in Elk Grove for 20 years, moved to Oregon 14 years ago, but come back often to visit family & friends.....this has always been the most beautiful park ever!! Lots of ducks, baby ducks, geese and baby geese, and squirrels.....Hid several painted rocks....

Huge beautiful park in Elk Grove, California. They have a disc golf course, lots of picnic places, pets are welcome. The place is great for running, jogging, walking, biking. Plenty of parking spaces and lots of tree shade. Also lots of pretty houses around the area I spent time adoring them. Park is conveniently located off CA99 freeway.

Rain or shine this place has a variety of walking paths..very wheel chair accessible!! Baseball, softball, soccer fields. Huge Oaks keep a great portion of the park in the shade. Swimming pool open in summer. Bathrooms around every corner. 8 horseshoe pits (4 at main entry, 4 North center of park). The pond is more like a lake with available fishing. Very open with tables available for picnic. Theres a running/walking path around d the entire park (not sure of total length but seems like a good distance. If you have a chance google Elk Grove Strauss Festival which takes place in the park every year for four days, then make plans to go. The Elk Grove Western Festival is first weekend in May every year at the park (google it)....For any of you Geocaching maniacs, I think theres at least a dozen or more to be found in the park..probably even room for you to hide one of your own!!

Elk Grove Park is an expansive, beautifully shaded park with a variety of activities to enjoy, including a Duck Pond and fishing. There is also a Dog Park, Motor Cross course, Baseball,Soccer, and Football fields. There is outdoor and indoor Community Centers, Picnic areas, historical buildings (a one room school and hotel), and of course their famous Harvest Festival and Strauss Island Music/Dance festivities.

Nice, big park. Has a pond, lots of trees, many paths and plenty of space for baseball, soccer and football. Also frisbee golf if thats your thing. Lots of geese and squirrels too.

This park, as always, is beautiful. They have tons of Geese and Ducks to watch. You can fish and take your dog to the doggie park. There is a dirt jump track for bikes and areas to run. The park is massive and has tons of room for picnics. They hold many events here.

Despite the fact we could not see the fireworks from there last night I still love the park. I have a lot of family memories there. God bless

Park is great! HUGE. Just about everything there except food. Dog park, kids park, splash pad, soccer and baseball fields etc.

There were lots of ducks and squirrels, as well as a nice walking path along the lake. Lovely!

It has a great set of sand volleyball courts. The lines and sand were both provided by Kristren Williams, the Force Performance Volleyball club director.

Had a great time with my daughter and girlfriend feeding the ducks and geese. The volunteer was there and taught us a bunch about the types of food to feed them and the different types of birds there as well. Even got to meet Gordon the goose who was very talkative and protective. It was awesome and my daughter had a blast. Thank you volunteer lady. You helped make my daughters day.

Great place for family functions and a little fishing

If u live in EG and are trying to get out its a nice walk thru the park here but nothing too special. Just watch out for the geese poop!! Some pretty nice community areas and picnic spots. Stay healthy!

I love this park. I think its a great place to go when you have some down time and just want to take a stroll. It has a beautiful fountain pond and a long trail to walk. Just watch out for the ducks and their poop.

Great place to hold activities. Mind you that they do turn the sprinklers on or before 7 am. We got wet trying to save a spot before 7am. Bring a cart with big, neumatic tires to haul you stuff into the picnic areas, helps out a lot.

The park is clean and mostly quiet. Lots of shade and a great walking/running path. And there were goslings last week!

This is the biggest park! Great location. Very clean and lots of parking. Did not use the restroom, so I dont know if they are clean or working. If they were anything like the rest of the park, then chances are pretty good... they are good to go.The event held there, was a 3 , at best. It seemed unorganized. I was expecting booths and food stands from different cultures, since this was a Multi-Cultural Festival. There were approximately 6 food trucks and 1 stand of random food. Great park! I was picking up a puppy. There were volley ball players, dog walkers, clean bathrooms and all terrain bicyclists in just the small area I was at. Was clean, genuinely friendly people. Great experience, too bad I dont live closer.

Great place to play 9 holes of disc golf. I really enjoyed walking around the park. There is a huge beautiful pond with ducks and other birds. There is plenty to do around this park. Baseball fields for playing baseball. A great place to go for a run. And there are benches to rest and enjoy the scenery. A BMX area. A nice place to take your dog.

Very nice park. Well kept, clean, and id never been their before and thought it would be hard to find my way to the dog park but the signs were easily seen and not confusing at all.

Everything was beautiful. The fountains. The ducks. The geese. The trees. The sky. The clouds. I took over 300 pictures!! We were on the doggy side. We had our dog, Jasmine, with us. Even she loved it there! There were squirrels Jasmine to chase.

It is such a blessing to have such a beautiful, peaceful place available to enjoy FOR FREE! I love the huge oak trees and the wildlife. The dog park looks nice and there is a bike park of some sort worth checking out. Seasonal public pool. Bbq pits. Plenty of parking but dont leave valuables in your car.

I enjoy coming here and eating my lunch. It is so shady and pleasant to walk around. Usually pretty quiet too unless theres a festival or its a weekend. Love all the critters running around as well.

The best park in elk grove and south sacramento!!! The pond there is huge and great fishing!! Lots of parking spaces and right off the freeway!!! Great great park!! They have a dog park and lots of tables and grills. Definitely go if you have time to just spare and burn.

Its nice place to go and take your kids and your family Barbecue is very family appropriate. I will love to go back, its clean good for your pets run around.

I wish they had a playground like the other parks do. There is not a place for toddlers and little ones to play. On the weekends there is no chance for the neighborhood kids to play. The parties take up the whole area. But i love that we do have this space do have our old town local events. But just wish they would focus on the elk grove old town side still. People do live here for that reason,
