It was called Imperial Hill when I lived here 22 years ago. It continues to be a great location to watch take-offs from the 25s. Not as many 747s or DC-10s to see anymore, but it is still good viewing.

For a view of LAX definitely recommend. It is in a residential neighborhood so be respectful and dont trash the area. Its not your house. Cops will make trips here and check making sure there is no illegal activity going on (drinking, smoking, disturbing the peace). Ive seen arrest made here for incompetent people here. Oh and dont double park, dont be that A of hole.

I had a couple days to pass waiting my COVID testing to fly internationally. I did a few runs around the airport itself for exercise and stumbled upon this hill. Really enjoy sitting here getting rest and getting to watch the big planes take off and land. Its next to the Cargo facilities so you see a lot of older 747s, 74Fs, MD80s landing that you wouldnt normally see at other airports in the US.Theres a 7-11 down the hill to buy drinks from, and a few restaurants as well that look a bit meh. Suggest bring your own food if you going to be here a while.Theres a few benches and tables, but all a bit dirty, but at least a place to sit. Theres always people are, never came across it empty though.Id give it 5 stars but the lack of cleaning and trash everywhere makes it a bit less than desirable.During COVID there is a free bus, 109, that stops here once an hour and dose the entire perimeter of the airport. Normally they charge a fee but they arent collecting it at the moment.

Great view of planes flying in and out of Los Angeles International Airport, lots of benches and other plane enthusiasts up there.

An absolute fantastic location to watch or photograph aircraft movements and all the more better when the sun is shining and there are seats available, the last one we took but ants were crawling all over us within minutes of arriving. It truly is an international venue for enthusiasts from around the world including ourselves, the runways are constantly busy with many international & domestic arrivals & departures. I walked along the road down towards the cargo ramps where I saw parked behind a wall an old Dakota, I dont know if it is still airworthy.

My 5 year old daughter wanted to see the Planes closer and she enjoyed herself having lunch!

Ok Park with tables and barbecue areas for a large family but just KEEP in mind you best get there EARLY CUS ITS ONLY ENOUGH TABLES FOR ABOUT 6 MEDIUM SIZED FAMILIES WITH BARBECUE GRILLS BUT YOU CAN VOLLEYBALL OR PLAY BASKETBALL AND LET THE KIDS PLAY IN THE PLAYGROUND AREA SEEMS TO ME PEOPLE AT THIS PARK ACTUALLY JUST MIND THEIR OWN BUSINESS AND ENJOY IT WITH THE MANY TREE AREAS KEEPING THE PARK COOL IN ITS CENTER

When I lived in LA, I used I love coming here with my family. My dad would find a spot to park and we would get out of the car and watch the planes take off and land. I used to get so excited watching them take off. It would be a bit noisy but it was fun spending time with my family there. It does get a bit crowded trying to find a spot to watch the airplanes since its a popular spot to be.

One of my favorite spots while spotting at LAX. Nicknamed by aviators “Imperial Hill” it’s a great spot for enjoying the planes landing and taking off on Runways 24 L/R. I would suggest a longer camera lens (300mm or above preferably) if you’re interested in spotting here as they’re a bit far away even for my 300mm lens!

The best airplane spotting spot Ive found. As a park, its not best--a narrow strip of grass with a few places to sit down and some trash cans. But it has an overlook overlook LAX and people flock here to watch and to photograph the airplanes and the air traffic at the airport.

Nice place to seat down and relax while you see the planes landing and taking off. Is not a big park is very small, well I dont know why is call a park, there are a few benches along the street and that is all, but is very nice to seat down and just enjoying watching all the action at LAX.

I love to go there and watch the planes take off. Great view of them right as they are taking off. If you want to see them taxiing down the runway a bit more, this is not the best place to do that.

Nice place to have a nice lunch, play at checkers/chess tables, view of the planes or birds as well. Funny because after the blue bird tried taking one of my chilli fries with no success lol, he caught him self a nice big worm and we enjoyed lunch together i guess...lol. be blessed everyone.

This is the best place ever. Here I have my best memories. I even proposed to my now fiance here. Just a great place to pass the time.

Nice little public park that gives you the action on the Southern runways of LAX. Very suitable to bring your kids. It is in a residential area, so please respect, dont leave traces and avoid noise.

Awesome place for plane spotting. I stopped by there on a visit to the Los Angeles area and saw many rare passenger planes (like the Boeing 747-8i from Lufthansa, Airbus A340-600 also from Lufthansa, a number of Airbus A380-800 from Emirates, Korean Air, Air France, British Airways and Asiana as well as the Boeing 757-300 from United). The area allows for excellent views of the south runway and the Tom Bradley International Terminal. I was able to take very detailed pictures using a Nikon DX format camera and a 18-140mm kit lens. Even for planes landing on the north runway, most of the international flights tend to taxi towards this side so you can still take decent pictures even if they are not taking off or landing. The caveat is that when I was there most of the passenger international flights took off on the north runway. There is limited seating and parking would likely be at a premium on weekends. I spent my afternoon there and I am definitely going back next time I am in Los Angeles.

Clutters Park is the best place to view airplanes at LAX. A real treat. Benches and seats/tables available to enjoy the day and the view.

Thee best spot to get a nice view of LAX! The neighbors dont bother you as long as you dont disturb their peace.

I love this place. So calm and peaceful. And I love aircraft so watching them take off and land is awesome. I only wish it was on the other side of the airport that gets alot more air traffic. Also findings a parking place is kind of tricky. Otherwise a great experience.

It is a very good place to freshness, like to see various flights take off and landing, also its photographs closely. It is really nice place to seat & mind fresh.

A great place to spot planes! Runways 7L/25R and 7R/25L are closer and great to take pictures of the departures and arrivals but the other 2 runways are too far away and only in a good distance during taxi. Great sunsets also.

Back home we have our similar place overlooking the Intl’ airport but there’s just something special about this place when I herd about it. Now when I visited, I was just amazed and took about a couple of hours here just pondering on the view. Aircraft I’d never seen up close now to scratch it off the list!

Its not a park its a sidewalk they added a few benches too. Lots of cops patrol the area, so make sure you pore your beer into a plastic cup. Nice place to see the airplanes depart great view as this location is at the top of a hill. (No restrooms)

Bring your kids and grandparents from outta state or outta the country. They will love you for showing them the airplanes taking flight and the beautiful view of the fully lighted up track runway for airplanes. Amazing LA landmark here only four miles away from dockweiler too.

This is a great place to chill out and relax and have stress relief and watch Airplanes and this is a beautiful place in general just to go and watch the planes land and go off and fly away and if you have the flight radar app I highly recommend the flight radar app if you know your wife or your husband or your girlfriend or your daughter or whatever is in your family is taking a flight on the flight radar app and go to this clutters park and watch when the flight takes off cuz youll see it live take off by itself its amazing and I highly recommend this part to watch your flight or whoever you love that you dropped off at the airport flight thats getting checked in to watch them fly away Ill recommend it for any reason for whatever reason its a great place to go and visit and its very safe and very well protected

This is a great location everybody stops there’s also a dog park local residents come out and talk to you when they introduce a new aircraft like the Airbus you could get pretty darn close and get a great photo we have been going for many years.

Some people meditate, I watch planes. Highly recommend taking a cup of coffee and watching planes full of people come and go from around the world. Serenity now!

Used to come to El Segundo years ago and watch the planes take off. Its relaxing but the smog takes away from the experience now. And the added dog park takes away from the serenity.

A planespotters dream. This is a wonderful and awesome place to watch airplanes of all kind land and take off from LAX. Parking is easy and you can usually find it on the street. Here you get a great view of the Tom Bradley terminal and all the planes taxiing after they land. You can see various planes from this angle. Worth spending some time here to observe and watch.

I love sitting and watching the planes. This past visit we had to cut short... Not really liking the smoking... Of any kind... Killed the natural high/joy of watching the planes.
