Super cool that you can touch and get in the cars! They really have some beautiful classic cars! And they even have a cute little ice cream parlor! They are based on donations for entry, which is great if you are on a budget... They have a little play area for kids with a cool Hot Wheels set up with tons of cars to play with, coloring papers/crayons, and even a little TV that plays cartoons. They also host parties in a banquet room!

Very nice curated selection of vehicles from many eras. Has a showroom for pristine condition and I assume for sale vehicles that is separate from the pictures below. Museum curators were very well informed and were delighted to provide me with some history on these vehicles. All in all we all had fun and if you enjoy cars is worth a visit. Short drive from LAX.

$10 entry with fun for the whole family. You can sit in almost any car and lots of fun extras (a labeled engine cutout that you can crank and see how it works). Recommended for any car guy - mostly American classics with a Porsche, a Delorean and some English classic roadsters. The staff were friendly and courteous and I had a great time with my girlfriend. Would recommend to any car or history person.

I went during the free-for-all event so not everything was available. However, I saw that the entrance fees were absolutely affordable. Every Sunday they choose a couple of cars from their collection for visitors to drive. Their Ice Cream parlour is a delight and all the cars are remarkable. Do not worry if you are not a car fan, their collection is impressive and you will certainly be amazed. Definitely should be on everybodys bucket list.

Great museum with a twist. Its one of the only museums Ive been to that encourages you to touch, open, and sit in just about any of the cars in their collection! Awesome selection of cars from the early 1900s up through the late 80s or early 90s, domestic and foreign. Did the whole thing in under 2 hours and that was reading about most of the cars. Went to meet up with friends from Riverside & Pasadena. Our Pasadena friends couldnt make it! Yet we still enjoyed the museum.Their was a car show today. Muscle cars from the 60s, 70s, 80s & a very few newer model hi performance cars. Now, this is not a large show. Take away the museums cars & maybe there was 35 cars. So unless your a big car fan, probably not for you.All the cars were terrific & the owners prides showed through. One nice component of the museum, if its the museums car, you can get, sit down & check it out.For me it was coming all of 15 minutes from Redondo, so no issues. My friends from 80 miles away, were a little disappointed, understandably so. But they still enjoyed their day.If your local, go. If your coming from 30 miles plus, id wait till they have a large show.

What a treasure! If you can go on a Sunday afternoon, be sure and make a reservation to take a ride in one of their historic cars. Each week they choose three different classic automobiles and will give rides. Otherwise there is an excellent display of a variety of classic cars and usually a volunteer or two who will show you around and answer any questions. The gift shop is well priced and has some nice souvenirs. And theres actually in ice cream shop which makes a delightful stop even if you arent interested in automobiles.

Hot wheels event at ADM:I went with my sister, her 5 yr old & my 4yr old. The boys had a great time. I love cars so I enjoyed looking at everything they had on display. This was our 1st time there. Im told the hotwheels change with each event- they hold the hotwheels exhibit monthly. The cars in the main museum apparently change too, a docent told us Doc Hudson was sold to a new home. Ill let you guess who asked that Q and how disappointed they were. Luckily, there are kid playing stations inside the museum as well so that disappointment was easily tempered. I also challenged the Lil ones to find some other McQueens friends that the docent doesnt know about (easy has he hadnt seen the movies and the many old cars like they couldve been in the movie).Id love to tell you about the cars I saw, but I only remember a few: 1965 mustang, a 1886 Mercedes Benz motorwagon and a carriage. This day was about the kids & theyd rather have hands on moments than having us read them the info cards. Can you blame them?In the hot wheels section there were 2 Camaros. The cars didnt have info tags, so IDK exactly what they were. I just know they were gorgeous & I want to drive them. Speaking of which, Sundays you can drive the cars. Im sure there are age restrictions, but we forgot to inquire. Im sure there are other exhibits events, because we saw Sheriff stored in a car barn with other cars. These cars werent hidden, are easily viewed from the parking lot/pathway, but wasnt actually on display. There were 2 hotwheel playing stations, a coloring station, a baseball station and an insurance table for parents to get information, but they also had games with prizes for the kids. Oh, and there was a train that took kids on a ride through the parking lot. They gave the kids a punch card to visit each station, once everything was marked off they kids choose their own hotwheel to take home.Did I mention the face painting and balloon station? We all have boys, but I was impressed by the use of gems in the face paint for girls. Usually I see glittery paint not stones; NBD but sometimes its the lil things. The balloon guy can make many complicated things. He made someone an Eiffel Tower; and another an octopus. My son got his usual sword and my nephew wasnt phased. But towards the end of the event we saw a woman wearing a balloon bracelet that looked like Lightening McQueen. So of course we (my sister & myself) had to have Cruz & Jackson Storm. My nephew caught on to us and requested a Jackson Storm. Thankfully his was created with a clear windshield and mine with white. There was a raffle; our kids each one something. Thank God, or wed have to run to the Mattel store to fix that. They also have an ice cream shop, which we managed to avoid because it wasnt really warm & my son was distracted by the hotwheel tabels. It was a fun day and and they host Bday parties, so we will definitely go back. Besides, I want to drive the cars.
