Apparently they are under new management and state that the greens and fairways have been remodeled. With these comments they have increased the price of 18 holes to $40, which is on par with very well kept public courses. The course had burnt/dead greens on 16/18 holes. The fairways were a little better but nowhere near the price of $40. Dead grass on all fairways. The tee boxes were on par with a $13 course. Highway robbery to charge this price with no updates.

This place is terrible, I paid 30 bucks for a course that’s should be like 10 bucks. The employees are nice. The worst part tho is the course, the greens were ripped up and patchy. The fairways are ripped up and were cut but did not clean it up, also the fairways were fake grass like Sod but worse. DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE!!!!!

Really enjoyed playing Fox creek this week. Very challenging with lots of trees and water hazards. Unfortunately The mowing crew has had a rough time keeping up with cutting grass because of all the rain! But so has every other course in Illinois. We plan on coming back to try our luck again maybe when playing conditions are a little better. Very friendly staff and great Cheese burgers !

Today was my first day playing at fox creek. Being 40 dollars I assumed it would be a decently nice course for the area. I hate to say it but this course was horrible. Worst I’ve played in the area. Nothing was cut. The fairways, rough, greens, and tee box’s were all very overdue for a cut. Putting felt like you had to grunt to get the ball there. fairways were missing huge patches of grass all over. The worst part was the course smelled terrible the entire time. Thanks to stagnant water all around the course it smelled like terrible. I will never be to this course again, nor would I recommend this course to anyone. It’s a 20 dollar course at best. Not 40.

Definitely not worth the $38 fee. As other have said, the greens are in terrible shape, fairways arent much better.

I want to like this course. Its got some good holes and is definitely a challenge. The fairways are great. But after being told in the clubhouse (playing at 3:45 p.m. on a Monday with nary another group in sight) that walking is not allowed and seeing poison ivy in the rough (not even the woods - this was mowed rough ares), I dont think Ill be back, no matter how cheap it is.

Course has potential and some great views but definitely needs work, with some attention this track could be awesome but at present is only an average track in rough shape. Please put some work into this course PLEASE!?

Filled in as a league sub during my first round out this summer and the first time playing here after it kicked my butt 10 years ago. The course is not very forgiving but was in great shape overall. People were friendly and the price seemed right. Give it a try.

Been up here a couple of times. The holes around the houses are great. Elevation changes, challenging doglegs, well-bunkered greens, lush fairways. But when you get into the trees on the back 9, its a mess. (And not just because of the work being done along the creek.) There are several greens that are in horrendous shape (esp. 12). It seems like they do much more work on the holes that are near the homes, while giving less attention to the others. I guess thats understandable. Resources must be allocated. Judging by the reviews, this course has come a long way. With a little more work, I think it could be a top notch course. I absolutely loved playing 1, 3, 4, 7, 9, 10, and 18.Also, there was NO water after the fourth hole when it was 100+ degrees. Thats unacceptable. The woman in the bar was incredibly nice when I brought it to her attention. She made me a large water, then immediately stormed into the clubhouse to get someone on it. I greatly appreciated her response.

I wanted to write a review as I think Fox Creek Golf Course has changed significantly since the bad reviews 3 years ago. Ive played here a few times and I have never struggled to find an employee. The course is beautiful and employees are friendly and helpful. I did not see any of the weeds the reviewer 3 years ago mentioned.

Best value in golf near St. Louis. The greens are in good shape and the fairways are excellent. The rough is a little spotty due to really wet conditions. If you are up for a challenge this course can be tough.

Fox Creek Golf Course is a very intersting make up of 18 holes. This course will allow you the chance to work on any part of your game and enjoy doing so. The club house has a great layout with plenty of amazing views of the course from various locations within the bar pro shop and banquet room. In my opinion the best viewing location was from the outside deck which overlooks the exceptionally manicured 9th hole. Customer service and atmosphere at Fox Creek was very inviting and comfortable for the firs time golfer. Or a good place for the more regular golfer to come and enjoy themselves as I observed first hand from watching the satisfaction on the faces of the groups of regular golfers on the course that day.

I golf here maybe 5 times a month, and it has never failed to impress me. You can tell the green keepers take pride in their work, not to mention the many beautiful views.

Everytime I walk in the building there are no employees to be found. After 5 minutes of waiting someone may show up, otherwise you can probably find a worker sitting at the bar.The course is neglected, by far the worst fairways in the area, you will be wanting to hit the rough after awhile because at least there is grass in the rough. The greens seem to always be nice though which is good. There has been multiple times Ive gone here to hit range balls and the range is either closed or they dont have any range balls. The few times they do have range balls you can expect to find anywhere from 5-10 broken or cut up balls in the basket you purchase.I think if the owners cared a little more and put some effort into it this could be a great place, but until that happens this place will continue to go down hill.
