Went in for the first time to make a purchase. I enjoyed seeing products on the shelves that I haven’t seen in years. The staff member I dealt with was exceptional, unfortunately I’ve forgotten their name. If I lived closer, I’d definitely return.

I really love this store. I have such fond memories of going in with my friends, playing some games, cracking open a soda, exploring retro games for the first time, it’s so amazing.However I went in with my gf yesterday afternoon and the experience was not very pleasant. This review may be seen as unfair because there may not be a lot that could be done, but as soon as we walked in, the mood was very negative. We were greeted at the door but that was it. The rest of the visit was just silent, depressing, and gave off a very unhappy tone. It just seemed like the two people there didn’t wanna be there at all and had little to no passion for it. The young blonde woman was very nice at checkout but compared to the energetic conversations I’m used to from this shop, it was disappointing.I love this shop and will continue to be a patron for as long as it remains open, but yesterday’s experience was not at all pleasant. I would still like to thank the two for their service, as the service industry is never easy, and I appreciate their help.

In early March of 2020 I placed a pre-order for Animal Crossing: New Horizons here. I paid in full, upfront, perhaps unwisely in hindsight. Then, of course, covid hit and the state went into lockdown. Due to these extenuating circumstances I was unable to pick up my pre-order, and resorted to buying the game digitally.In time, having bought it digitally, I forgot about placing the pre-order, until August.I called to ask if it was possible to have the pre-order refunded, and was told I would need to come into the store. So I did.There I was told by the staff at the counter that apparently someone had picked up the copy that I had pre-ordered. I was told I would be called back after it was discussed with the higher-ups.I was not called back within the week, so I placed a call and asked for an update. I was told that on the days that people were picking up pre-orders IDs were being checked against a list of names. I was then told that my pre-order was marked as rung-up and there was nothing that could be done, leaving me out 59.99 plus tax.Now, I never assume malice where a mistake could suffice, but I am extremely frustrated by the situation, and the lack of any resolution apart from a Theres nothing we can do.So would I recommend it? Its a nice place, the staff is friendly, but after this experience I cant say I would ever patronize the location again, and although it was likely a simple mistake, I am thoroughly disappointment by any sort of resolution on behalf of the management.

I normally love supporting these local nostalgic game shops but unfortunately Another Castle is far from one of those, they are an over priced money maker. None of their prices are anywhere near market value on highly desirable games. You can find anything they have on Amazon for cheaper.

Edited. Read bottom.Keep your receipts. I was about to get shafted over 200 dollars worth of store credit and now have to wait for them to find out why my store credit is not in my account. I might change this rating after i get my credit back.(I got my credit back. I changed from 1 star to 3 stars. But still keep your receipts no matter what. Even if they tell you that you dont need it.)

I just visited the store seeking NES games. Hero was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. He offered recommendations and answered all of our questions. I highly recommend Another Castle if youre seeking friendly staff and wide variety of games.

When the arcade is open, its a destination. Right now its still a great place to drop by and pick something up on a whim to fill an afternoon. Great and knowledgeable staff.

Great selection of games and accessories... For all systems

We took in a couple of XBox One controllers to be fixed. We were called to pick them up. Brought them home and a controller was not fixed. Also purchased a used game there and the wrong disc was in the box.

Very friendly staff with astounding collection of everything a gamer collector or not. The seems dedicated to their jobs and make the store a fun experience if not a little overwhelmed. You will struggle to find a game you dont want. Prices are pretty fair and the games are in near pristine condition. If there is any issue with a game they will buff before you leave the store. Their month return for store credit is the cheery on top

Excellent pinball arcade bar and game store. Love that they are open until 2 am on Wednesdays. Fairly large selection of rotating drinks, lots of tournaments for me or experienced players, and all ages accepted thru the whole place.

It was awesome! Hero? helped me out today. It was awesome he literally made my shopping experience so fun lol. We looked over different video games and he was super cool about showing me around and telling me about potential games to buy. I WILL be coming back!

As far as games go theyve all been heavily picked through anything you probably want is marked up higher then what your willing to spend on it, id say as far as for going to get game or console try different location since this one is more focused on its arcade and bar. Also buyer beware both my nes and snes came with non working cords which i then had to spend more money for new working cords which shouldnt happen on my tested product. Do your customers right or close your doors.

The best place to go for older games. I was also able to buy a 72 pin connector for my NES.

What I enjoy the most about video games, is the community, and the fact that I can walk in and take all the time i need to browse around, and talk about gaming without being pushed to buy something through some hard sales pressure tactics makes it my go to spot for all my gaming needs.Thanks for hiring genuine people, who care about what they do. Awesome little throwback arcade. They serve beer in the bottle and you can even sit outside and smoke while you drink. Cool events are held here from time to time. In addition to the main arcade they have a hobby shop, and a section dedicated to pinball. Check it out!

Great retro arcade that allows all ages so that you can bring all your friends along. Also has a great game store, I dont remember if theres current games but they have a good retro selection which I personally love

Been here before, the people who work here have always been nice. Yes, of course trade values seem low because stores resell the games so they cannot pay top dollar for trading it in. If you want top dollar for your games, do your research and sell them yourself. I attempted to call Another Castle but couldnt because my telephone number is unlisted or private. So I will have to call a different business for my question.

Unfortunately, another location sold me a bootleg game and I wasnt sure if they were going to be able to do anything for me. Luckily, I had an old invoice number from my purchase and Sophie and her team very quickly were able to get me a legitimate copy at no expense to me. Outstanding service overall and I will be coming here for all my retro game needs!

My jaw hit the floor the second I walked in! Video games everywhere! Old school, new school, in between class, lol! The arcade is beyond cool! They have all the classics, including my fav, Rampage! Oh yeah and they serve alcohol! Just go, no need to think about it

Finally went in to check it out after driving past it a hundred times and was just as satisfied as Id hoped. Not only did they have some cool very classic pinball games including one I remember playing many years ago but the games are all in good shape. Thats not always the case in a place with older games like that so props to the management. Ill definitely be back

Great store, Ive been here a few times. The Arcade is super fun with lots of retro games and lots of pin ball machines. There is drinks served here and the arcade is attached to the Game sale part of the store. Huge selection of new and used games. Store staff was very willing to help me locate the used game I wanted at one of their other locations.I had heard food was served here but that didnt seem to be the case. Maybe I missed it though.

Been going here off and on since it first opened. I cannot reccomend it enough. If they do not have something they will do the best they can to get it for you. The staff is amazing. Best place for retro gameing stuff. Also great place to get new stuff as well. Cannot recomend enough.

Everything that has been taken away from gaming in the retail space is here, in this one glorious place, with an arcade on top.

Was there for a short time, just picking up some more switch equipment. But found a game I had been looking for for some time. Was there for the right price too. The cashier was very friendly and answered our questions with finesse. Really excited to come back and play the pinball machines!

Great little indie game store. They sell a mix of new and pre-owned games, systems, and accessories. They test all hardware and have a fair return policy on purchases. Adjacent to the store is a neat little arcade filled with classic cabinets and pinball machines. Theres even a little bar if you are feeling thirsty.Definitely my first choice when game shopping.

Decent selection of retro games and so-so prices. Worst is their trade policy. They give sorry amounts for trade value, especially compared to other stores; on top of the low trade amount youll get, if you dont spend your entire trade in credit that visit, the next time you want to spend it, guess what? Youre gonna pay tax on it, and no, its not legal and no, no one else does this. Unless youre only able to get to this store and no other stores north or south of Another Castle in any of there locations, I would highly recommend going somewhere else for better prices and way better value on your trade-ins.

Came here to hang out with a friend, they have a lot of pinball machines, a decent drink selection, and some classic arcade machines. We will be back!

Ive had nothing but positive experiences here. They have a ton of pinball games that rotate fairly frequently. They have bottled beer that you can buy and drink in the drinking section (this makes up about half the arcade). The other day while I was there I had a machine eat a few of my quarters-- I brought it up to the guy working the desk and he instantly went over to fix the machine and even gave me a few free plays. You could have fun here for an hour on just five dollars of quarters.

Omg great place. Been going for years when had problems with he xbox or playstation. Always been able to fix them promptly. Has a bar/restaurant area now as well. Great place to go n have a few beers n play some games. Would high recommend it to anyone that likes video games or needs their system cleaned or fixed. Going today to pic up my sons ps4 they cleaned for him for next to nothing. Great place. If you want old school games or systems this is the place. Fun arcade. They have a rotating set of pinball machines and older video arcade games. There is also a console video game store attached. The console store bears the same name. Parking is limited.

This location is fairly large and has an honest to goodness real video game arcade next door!! With cabinets and everything.

These folks are always happy to help and very knowledgeable. They always answer any questions you have and are happy to have a quick chat about games (as long as there isnt a line of people they need to help, dont be rude!).We try to buy games from them more often than anywhere else since theyre a smaller local business. They also have more to offer than just new games, since their selection includes games that go all the way back to Atari.

The guys here are very knowledgeable and very helpful. Good place to walk down memory lane or get that one game that got away. They also sell video game memorabilia which is even harder to find sometimes.

Pretty awesome place to go if you ever want a huge nostalgia blast. Theyve got a TON of used games, consoles, and accessories that are from this decade and from several decades prior. Theyve sometimes even got sealed copies of super old games, so this is probably a great place for a game collector to go and see what new things they can add to their collection.I honestly just like going here mainly to browse for fun, but if I do want to buy games, I do try to go to Another Castle so that I dont support awful places like GameStop. Also, their arcade area is pretty awesome! Theyve got a lot of classic games you can play for a quarter or two and I love the large variety of pinball machines they have. I can imagine this would be a great place to take your children to and show them what kind of games you grew up with and blow their minds on what games and consoles used to look like.Staff here have ALWAYS been friendly and helpful as well!

If you like games, you NEED to come here. New, used, classics, retro, rare games and collectibles. PLUS a nice sized arcade with snack bar, including beer for the adults. Absolutely fantastic and there is nothing like it anywhere else.

Came here for a date night with my husband on Saturday and had so much fun! They have all kinds of arcade games including a ton of pinball. My favorite game to play at the arcade is Area 51 and they had it! We went in the evening and there werent a lot of kids running around (which was nice for a date night) and they serve beer!They have the store attached that sales games and video game related items. They had the cutest magnets that they hand make of different video characters it was too hard to decide on just one so we bought four (Mario, Link, a One Up Mushroom and Frog Suit Mario)!

23 pinball machines and a load of video games, plus a retail store of new and used related items. Family friendly, but adults can have a beer as well. They also offer cold soda and craft beers. Nice clean bathrooms, friendly staff and change machine on site.

Its a pretty fun place to go and hang out with your adult friends, although make sure youre not going on a pinball tournament night, or else most of the games will be occupied. I do love the fact that they serve beer/hard cider and other alcoholic beverages, but they recently changed to where you can only drink alcoholic beverages in a certain area of the arcade. All in all, its a fun place to be.

It is one of my favorite places to buy video games. They have a solid amount of old school console games available to buy as well as the current generation games. It one of my go to places for games that are rare.I love that it is local business and is a superior opinion to the chain gaming stores. The parking is funky, but dont let that deter you.

This is a relaxed environment. They have a fun arcade with a good variety of video games and pinball. The prices arent ridiculous. They also serve drinks. The other side of the business is the store itself. They have a lot of vintage and retro games and equipment, along with lots of new stuff, too. Used games, collectors items, fun game-related merchandise. If it wasnt so far away, Id be there way more often!

Another castle keeps the arcade dream alive with a mix of video games and pinball. While the music tends to be a bit loud, all the tables and cabinets are well maintained. There is a healthy turn over of games, so going every couple months makes it feel fresh. There is the added bonus of beer and cider to imbibe while gaming. My friend and I spend a few hours a month here dining quarters away to our childhoods.

One of my favorite local businesses. As a child of the 80s this place has a soft spot in my heart.

This arcade is way cool! It has about 20 pinball machines and tons of videogames. They kids might of had as much fun as the adults but we were reliving our childhood. The only thing that could have made it better would have been a Black Knight 2000 pinball machine. That would have been epic.

This place is really what makes Lynnwood special. Another Castle is conveniently located by regal cinema, restaurants, and H-mart, so its a nice place to stop by before you go grocery shopping or watch a movie. Or whats been my favorite lately, stopping by to play the arcade machines. They have retro machines, but more recent ones as well.My favorite is initial D and 4-player pac-man. Please dont ever get rid of these! On top of that, it just lets me revisit my childhood. I purchased super nintento RPGs here. Time is going by too fast, and its nice to feel nostalgic and relive the good memories.
