Pelican Bay is a fun small water park to go to for a day. Its super affordable at only $6 a person. There are a ton of options for entertainment for the kids. My kids who are 9, 7 & 5 all had a blast.The park includes a small lazy river, whirpool, small toddler play area with zero entry, splash pad, larger deep pool, rock climbing wall, diving boards and some extra big slides. My kids were entertained for hours.There are life guards on duty and they do take a 10 or 15 minute break every hour so everyone has to get out of the pool. Not super convenient but it gave me a chance to make my kids drink some water and re apply sunscreen if needed.The facilities are older and could probably be cleaned better but it was fine, I didnt feel like it was super dirty or unkempt. Im guessing because of covid the concession stand is running a super limited offering and you can only pay with card. I highly recommend bringing snacks, drinks, lunch. Which you are allowed to do.We will probably go several times throughout the summer because its a great escape from just a normal neighborhood pool and its totally affordable.

I’m really disappointed along with my daughter that this place is closed. They really need to update their hours and phone recordings to say that they are closed. There was a lovely lady who works for them that explained why they are closed for the season, I just wish her upper management had the same respect for their customers and do so in the website.

Looked online to verify Pelican Bay was open on a Saturday afternoon after driving past earlier in the week and seeing cars in the parking lot and patrons utilizing the park. Website said park was open. Loaded up the family only to discover the place is closed, no signage explaining why. Extremely inconsiderate to not update your website stating current status. For such a detailed and informative website it shouldn’t be that difficult to say CLOSED. Thanks now I’m dealing with very disappointed kids.

My brother, Grandma, and me went. We had lots of fun. There was lots of stuff to do. I was a bit sad that there was no goggles allowed. But i managed to sneak some in. food pricing was great!

This place was perfect when the city of Edmond was the owners. Idk who is running it now but it’s terrible. Lazy lifeguards, dirty bathrooms with no to, and to top it off today they couldn’t even open because they messed the chemicals up. Hope you guys step up your game next season.

We love it here! Lots of shade a big toddler, area and best of all they provide life jackets for anyone to use! The lifeguards did make everyone get out for about 10-15 mins to make sure the water is clear. But the second time they took everyone out the lifeguards were just swimming enjoying their time(racing, pushing each other down the slides) while everyone watched for 20 mins.

Every summer I take my kids to Pelican Bay Aquatic center and we love it. This is a good family oriented.

Fun time. Only complaint is because of Covid19 concession stand very sparse. Lifeguards are nice and respectful.

This place was very fitting for all the ages of kids. We had a really good time.

Swim lessons were just wat we were looking for and the lifeguards were very friendly and encouraging.

They close before 6pm... and a 20 min safety break. Dont go late lol. Price is good though.

After hearing about this location being a great mini water park and having family coming to town staying at a hotel near here, we decided to give it a try.I should have taken it as a sign when not only was the social media not updated with current information, nor was it easy to get ahold of anyone to confirm hours, COVID19 potential changes and expectations. However unfortunately I persisted, after calling the Edmond parks and recreations, getting a non public use number and leaving my 2nd message finally got a call back so we decided to make a day of it.Arrived 15 min early to ensure we could get a cabana as the online form was confusing for just a cabana rental. Purchased the small cabana and tickets for my family. The process was easy and things were looking up!Unfortunately this is where it ended. After about an hour into swimming we saw another family enter out cabana and set up. I asked her if the cabana was to be shared as I was unsure to be honest. She said the guy at the front told her she could sit there as there was two tables. I didnt want to ruin her kids or my kids day and just left it be. I did inquire with the guy who charged me if the cabana was to be shared and he said not really, if you want me to make her move I can. She really wasnt causing trouble and I honestly didnt know how to handle the situation. It should have been a given if I was paying $75 for the cabana then he just handle it without me having to ask. Or charge her for half....We were informed we were not allowed to bring in snacks or drinks. The Cafe was unmanned for a good portion of our stay as the main person was going back and forth between the front and the Cafe, not that it mattered since there was virtually nothing to purchase. We had choices of diet coke, la Croix or $1.50 for a cup of ice water or chips. Complete disappointment we ended up leaving due to hungry and thirsty children. Even the expensive water parks like white water bay give you ice water for free. We did not want to return that day or any day again actually.The lifeguards seem nice enough and were on top of their jobs. Altho there were some weird rules like no life jackets in certain areas, no floats for infants even, and no googles. These may be on the website not sure but even the lifeguards when asked why had no answer as to why the infants couldnt be in a float.

The attendant at the gate didnt tell us the facility was closing in a hour until I paid her. She said her superiors had just told her. Had she told me, I would not have paid her. This was my first visit. The posted information said we have two hours.

The day before Labor Day and the lap pool and vortex are closed! What a RIP off! Unless you have little ones I wouldnt come here today :-(

I could have gone back to Will Rogers for this! Dont waste your money here. There was nothing special for the pricing. You can have a better family experience by going to Andy Alligator. This pool was so uncomfortable. My goddaughter got charged according to the height of her hair and not her actual height as they eyeball the kids as they walk by a mark on the pole not ask them to stand next to it. Also do not be fooled by Cabana rentals. There is only one. My godson complained he hit his head on one slide as it was rough going down then found that the other one was better. And since you want to charge toddlers,how about having life vests that fit them. The play area also for the little ones is not toddler friendly. The water sprays too much and too fast and your kid basically has to be a daredevil because parents cannot assist say they want to go down the slide then cannot do so alone. Parents can at Andy Alligator.

Kids have been having a great time

Some of the lifeguards were very rude to my family. One of the lifeguards seemed like they were playing favorites to certainpeople.They wouldnt even let my little sister go down that was made for little kids. They blew the whistle at my mom and dad at three times. We wont be coming back

Changing rooms and showers are not well kept, several seating areas have ant infestations. Other than that the place is well staffed and its a fun place for kids and adults alike. Had a great time here with the family.

Found out this place has been here for some time. That being said, the price point for kids all day is a value. Plenty of stuff to do from lazy river, rock climbing wall, shade can be found if desired, little kiddies section, reasonable costs for food and drinks, pretty clean over all. Went here with my church group and enjoyed our time. 4 stars is for price compared to what is given.

I love this place! I wish there was more parking though it’s a struggle trying to come anytime but opening or late in the evening! I wish there were a few more umbrellas and seats. Hopefully the splash area works this summer it’s always broken . I have opinions and complaints but the staff were always nice to me and my 4 year old. It’s always clean. The lifeguards in the past did a good job watching out for little ones. The manager was a lady and she was very attentive. I love this part of Edmond by the park and water park.

Every body enjoyed themselves and staff was frendly

We came for a movie night. Had a good time, and the life guards were all great. Only thing is, they closed the lazy river which I didnt understand. Their were plenty of lifeguards still standing right by it, but we couldnt use it. Would have been nice especially to get away from some of the rowdy kids. But all in all had a good time, we go during normal hours as well and havent had a complaint.

My family went there this summer a few times and had a great time. It is a smaller park, but never seems over crowded. Extremely friendly staff. The manager went above and beyond for our birthday party we had there.

Very family friendly environment! Pricing to get in is very fair. They have multiple activities as in slides, a rockwall, and sprayers. They also have a concession stand with snacks, ice creams, and drinks. They have a decently big locker room with restrooms, showers, and changing stalls.

My kids love this place.. but they need to turn their focus from juice packs being brought in from outside to their horribly disgusting bathrooms. Is a Capri Sun going to hurt any one?? The answer is no, but filthy bathrooms with no toilet paper totally could. The toilets look like they haven’t ever been cleaned. Drinks are almost $3 each. It just seems a little backwards to me.. focus on important things such as unusable bathrooms and have the person at the door that looks through bags for outside drinks go grab a brush and some cleaner and make the bathrooms at least somewhat useable.. start with toilet paper please and thank you

Great place to take the kids

Nice place when it’s not over crowded. I recently saw a post off a mom who held a party there and her money could have went to a way better party. They served the kids burnt pizza and Popsicles that was supposed to be ice cream. I have taken my daughter and her friends and they think it’s ok. To many people let their kids go wild. And the guards really do nothing. Kids pushing and shoving should not be allowed and I have witnessed it myself a few times.

The water is always super warm and it has been crazy crowded every time I go. You couldnt even move in the pool without someone running into you. Tons of people all over the place just jacking around. my son was swimming underwater quite a few times and was landed on by people jumping in and not looking at all. I honestly really dont like public pools. I think their maximum capacity is a too large. There is no way that those lifeguards can keep up with all the messing around that was going on.

The manager and the GM are both horrid at their respective jobs.The place has trash everywhere, hires incompetent employees, fails to explain details of birthday parties (on top of the birthday party charge, each adult not swimming is also charged 5 dollars to com inside. We were not told this until we arrived.)Nothing was prepared for the party, the pizza was completely burnt, and in the end the manager said what do you expect we work with teenagers and made excuses for extraordinarily poor service and overall quality.

To whoever stole my bag please at least return our id’s and keys you can keep the rest no questions I’ll even give you cash. Everything is useless to you anyway. absolutely everything is canceled you just stole a bag with some diapers, baby clothes, and my glasses. Thank you to the employees for doing everything they could if it wasn’t for the people that go there and steal we would go again. Please contact pelican bay they have my information.

Went here today for the first time ever for a birthday party. Upon arriving we walked into the cabana which my friend paid over 200.00 to rent for a 1 hour party. The floor was disgusting with sticky liquid on it and trash everywhere. It also had 3 other families that stayed in it for the first 30 minutes of the party. It took 25 minutes to get the drinks and very burnt pizza out to us. Unlike what the website said about getting ice cream with the party they brought out popsicles. To which even the kids said dont go with cake. We have never been there before and I told them at the front that my young son could not swim and they put a bracelet on him. Me thinking it was for the party let them. Not knowing it was for him to go on the big slide. He goes up it and they REMOVE HIS LIFE VEST... My son then told them that he could not swim and they still sent him down the slide.... We spoke to a manager. She said she has no power there and cannot return any money for the party and for us to speak to the general manager. After waiting 45 minutes for her to finally show up she comes and and says its ran by teenagers what did you expect. And she refused to make anything right. Never going back!

My daughter had her birthday party today and it left much to be desired. It took 15 minutes to check in and i was surprised with so many extra costs. When I went to our cabana it was an absolute mess with 1 family occupying it. Within a few minutes the first family left and 2 more arrived, uninvited. No staff was to be found. We were served watered down drinks 25 minutes into our 60 minute party. The sticky mess was still uncleaned. We was served a cold and burnt pizza, and ice cream that were actually cheap popsicles. The staff was very distant and we were left unattended. We were rushed out for a party that didnt start for another hour. We spoke to a manager who had no authority or power to do anything except wear a red shirt. We then had to wait 45 minutes to speak with the general manager who refused to give me even a partial refund and stated that the employees were all teenagers and what did I expect. Then to top it all off they took a childs life vest off so he could go down the big slide even after he told them he could not swim. I am so disappointed and will NOT be returning.

Prices are reasonable and comparable to the pools at other recreational parks. The cool things at this location are the rock wall over the water and an area of the pool with jets that create a current effect and a whirlpool. My 7yo kid couldnt get enough of it. I, however, got dizzy after a while :)

Clean and fun little water park. We loved it and well be back. They have life jackets on all sizes changing rooms, lockers and lots of beach chairs. But be warned no outside food or drink and the snack bar doesnt have a huge variety of choices.

This water fun park is just what the doctor ordered on a hot day it is very kid friendly family oriented lifeguards are on point there is 12 minutes to sit out so kids can rest they do it so lifeguards can change their stations bathrooms are very clean the wait is very long to get in but it was only because there was one person working and they had to put on arm bands and take money all the life cards for really nice they do not allow coolers or inner tubes only like beach balls you can have life jackets that they require you wear if you dont know how to swim they do provide them or the little ones can have them in their swimsuits this is all around great place very clean Waters clean atmosphere is great I loved it my granddaughter loved it and my boys loved it and there was enough fun for everyone!

Fun and great for watching fireworks 2nd year they have done it and definitely will be bacc next year

The teen girl working the concession stand gave me too little change & when I corrected her, she gave me attitude & no apology. I asked for a manager near concession stand and the worker in there said she wasn’t sure where the manager was. This place is over crowded with daycare groups and I just don’t think we will be back

This is a great place they serve icecream and other stuff.........But! Its a great place to go with family!!

This place is cheap and fun. Its very safe and have plenty of life guards. The staff are friendly. The price you cant beat. I would suggest getting there early, as there isnt very much parking, and there arent a lot of chairs and sitting areas. Dont waste money on the locker, your stuff is safe. The food is expensive, and they do not allow you to bring outside food or drink. Also, be sure to bring sunscreen.

This place is great to get some hours in swimming. Wish they still had the diving boards I remember when I was a kid. At least you can still dive from the edge of the deep end.

My girls LOVED IT!!My daughters are 11 and 4 and there was something for them both of do. There are lots of life guards that actively pay attention and help the children. You arent allowed outside food and it can get a bit pricey and food isnt very good. My suggestion is to get there early for good seats and be prepared to have fun.

DONT BRING KIDS FLOATIES. They will deny you entry.

Love this place!!! Its the perfect size for a water park. The water is always clean, so is the outdoor seating. The only things that bother me are the prices at the snack bar (way too high) and the restrooms are not tended too enough (I guess people dont know how to flush). Still a great place!

We think this is a great fun place. While some people had a negative experience its all in the name of safety. The deep end was closed as the water was very murky due to the storms the night before. Lifeguards couldnt see to the bottom. The play structure isnt built to take the constant weight of adults. As we know herd mentality, if one does it, everyone else thinks they have permission. Better to err on the side of safety and caution than to have even one little one drown. Great family environment.

Pelican Bay is such a nice place to have in Edmond! You dont have to drive far to give your kids the waterpark experience. The pools are clean and the staff is very helpful. The lifegaurds seem to be attentive and well trained.My only complaint and my reason for taking off a star is the color of the whirlpool/lazy river. They painted it GREEN! Im sure in theory they thought it would look colorful and lively, but instead it makes the pool look dirty and in your mind its hard to get over your initial thought of dont go in green water. My daughter still loved it though, and thats what ultimately matters.

Great water park for smaller kids. Theres a splash pad, shallow water playground, and lazy river along with all the stuff for bigger kids.

The water was very clean. It was a really wonderful visit. Only thing is that some of the life savers were really rude. Demanding us to get out of the pool after coming out the slide. I was barely coming out from the water when he said get out in a very rude way. I mean, if you know youre gonna be dealing with people all day atleast have a nice attitude.

Great place. I just wish they would upgrade their restrooms/changing room. With upkeep on the restrooms. Other than that the staff are attentive.

The pool itself was fairly nice, but overall I had a pretty negative experience. I brought my 8 year old and my 2 year old. I never found a changing table anywhere. Even though there was a family changing room, it had no changing table. They had a little slide for little kids, which was nice, but I got yelled at for going down in the adjacent slide to my two year old who was too scared to go by himself. Then I had to rush to catch up to him after being yelled at in water deep enough for him to get into trouble. My older daughter had fun, maybe they are just not set up for littler kids.

This place is very overlooked for swim lessons. My son usually goes to the YMCA but you have to sign up the second the class opens or you are out of luck. I missed sign up for June and was surprised to find that Pelican Bay had lessons. My kid loves this place, the prices are great (about the same as the Y with a membership) and hes getting what amounts to a semi private lesson since there are so few kids in the class. Its a GREAT value. Love it!!!

They go out of there way to make it not fun. You hear whistle blowing every 2 seconds they have rules that have nothing to do with safety. Everything is broken and they searched my bag on the way in like i was visiting someone in prison. You will have more fun just going to a regular pool.

The surrounding park is very nice, I liked the trails and walkways available. The trees are tall and block the street sound very well, upon the Hill is a picnic area and volleyball court, definitely would suggest this park.

Hate that when I ask for a manager and she comes out she is like 12!! Let me talk to an adult more my age about my child!! Very rude to top it off!! The bathrooms are very gross...and they are really going to go through my bag to look for food!! Wont be back!!

Cute little park. However the toddler area (shallowest portion) is exposed to sprayers. Therefore toddlers do not want to be in this chaotic area. Loud radio music? I would prefer not being exposed to blasting adds.

Its okay to take kids under 13 or so. The food is over priced and as others have stated the Bathrooms are worse than a outhouse on a construction site. I would come back but maybe twice or three times a year type place. I did notice that the entire staff seemed to be of High school age, I didnt see anyone that looked over the age of 18.

I went there today with my daughter and sisters and my nephews and nieces and, I have to say it was really clean and lots of fun. There was something for everyone to do and I love the 10 minute safety breaks. Will definitely be back soon!

I went here looking for pelicans and yes you guessed it, they didnt have a single pelican to be found. During my quest to find pelicans I spotted plenty of water to swim, lifeguards and food, but no pelicans. That is all for now. Will update if the need arises and/or pelicans are found. They opened almost 15 minutes late. Then when we all finally got inside to swim the deep end was closed, and we could only swim in 4ft. Which would have been nice to know prior to wasting my money. Will NEVER swim here again.

It is lot more cheaper and fun out there. But, they need a big improvement in their changing room and the restroom. Please keep eye on good sanitation too.

Great size for younger kids. Big enough to have fun but not so big that you cant keep an eye on your kids from almost anywhere.

I had a bad experience here. The overcharged me and didn’t want to give me a refund and the manager seemed to not care. They have a bunch of RUDE teens working. I will not be back! The water was very warm and the restrooms were nasty!!

The Bathrooms are disgusting. If you can’t manage your bathrooms, how do you keep the cafe not to mention the pool clean?

My son and I love this place. Its clean, the staff is friendly. Even though you cant bring in outside food and drinks. They let me bring in hard candy because Im diabetic.

The water slides are very fun, however there are creases where the water slide parts meet, they really hurt youre back and feet. But the rest of the water park is very fun and is a great place to go if ur bored. ;)
