Great place to visit! My son and I came here for the first time for their Halloween stuffed animal sleepover and we had so much fun! He has already asked to go back. Everyone was SO nice there and they were so incredibly engaging with the children. They have a great childrens play area and other neat historical pieces and information. We will definitely be returning and keeping our eyes open for other upcoming event!Great experience!

This is the best place to have your childs birthday party!!! I had my sons birthday party here and it was an amazing experience for all of us! I wasnt sure what to expect with him turning 3 and having young friends invited for the first time too. Amy was such a breath of fresh air when I came in to set things up and I was a little tense. She immediately started helping and we were doing a train theme which they made look wonderful! The kids had a place to play when they 1st arrived and when it was time for food the transition Amy had planned was perfect at getting even my 2yr olds attention. The patience and kindness my friends, family and Kiddos were shown by the staff was GREAT!!! I will definitely do this again and THANK YOU AMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Edmond Historical Society Museum is small but delightful. They have a very interesting section on the history of Edmond. There were two special exhibits: entertainment in the 1920s and a century of photography. I particularly enjoyed the photography exhibit. The museum has a small gift shop with a variety of items, including small figures of native Oklahoman animals. I bought my father a cardinal. The museum is free and it should be included as part of your itinerary on your visit to Edmond.

I come here for their play village. Great play and pretend area for little kids. A small sized town, with a bank, a teepee, grocery store, house, garden, a reading and hands on area, a pioneer home, a train and such. The museum area is pretty cool too.

Very nice to learn about founders of Edmond and local history. Adding more historical items and native American stories and items would greatly enhance the experience. Live storytelling and/or short plays or skits of the personal stories of that period would be such a special addition, and could travel to local schools and groups.

Interesting little museum and I think its worth a visit. Under construction right now but there was a lot of information available. For a volunteer run little museum, its good. Looked like a good place for kids.

Great for indoor playtime with young kids! They have a cute little Western town set up as a play area with toys, dress-up and props for play acting. Weve spent hours and hours here over the last few years. Its both conveniently close and free (although we like to leave a donation here and there to show our appreciation). I dont know if it would keep older kids engaged, but we regularly run into others with kids five and under.

Amazing! And FREE! We’ve spent hours here! It is so nice during the less traffic hours, it can be really hectic when there’s lots of people so we try to go when we can dive deep in the history of pioneering Edmond
