This is an older movie theater, but its also a little cheaper. The concessions were reasonable, popcorn was hot and buttery, and servers friendly. They were showing the movies we wanted to see and they werent super busy. We went to the big, brand new theater and it was sold out 4 hours before the movie started. Their parking lot was jammed full as well. We truly enjoyed Kickingbird, and recommend it to anyone who wants fewer crowds and lower prices.

What a great locally owned theater. Lots of choices in movies and showtimes. Popcorn deal was amazing; If only you could pay for a refill on drink. The seats were good and the theater sizes were appropriate! Sound and screen were perfect! Thanks for having us!

Great picture quality and nice staff even a few arcade games to play. Ive been many times the only thing id recommend is fixing the squeaky seats in some of the theatres lol.

Ive been going to this theater since i was 5 years old or so. I absolutely love it. Great price nice staff and safe for the entire family. They have police officers there on occasion to reassure people that nothing bad will happen there. I highly suggest this theater to everyone.

Love the convenience of having a movie theater right in town. Ticket prices are also a bit lower than having to go to the mall. Definitely the convenience of being able to walk straight in from the parking lot is a major Plus. They always have a great selection of first-run movies and our family enjoys being able have a local place to go.

Kickingbird is a gem within Edmond. You dont have to travel far to see the movies you were waiting for! A little dated but overall good. Pricing is on par with most other cinemas. Matinee pricing is great. And I know they offer student discounts with school ID. You dont have to go far for a good movie experience.

Employees r friendly, prices r reasonable, theatre is clean. Nice option if u live close by or if u r trying to catch something that has already left other theatres. Not nearly as crowded as bigger theatres. Kids meal with small drink, popcorn, and fruit snack was only $4.25.

Cute, smaller theater of yesteryear. Comfy seats & good popcorn. Not like new fancy recliners. Not big auditoriums. Not crowded. Clean & cozy for a date or a kids movie. Only reason not 5 star is no icees.

Older cinema but easy to get into & always up to date on movies

I have been going to this theater since I was a small child. Its great to me because its right in the middle of Edmond and I dont have to drive out to the mall and fight those crowds. No stadium seating here but they run all of the same new releases and there is always plenty of good seating. The counter is always ran by local students and they have a great manager. You can also come in and buy a large bag of popcorn to go and they put in a LARGE plastic bag. You get way more than what would be in a normal large bag.

Great local theater. Wish the screens were a bit bigger or the seating wasnt so weirdly organized. Other than that, Ive been there at least 10 times on my own and will keep going.

Nice established theater that has seemingly been here forever. We used to go there and were happy it’s still there after we moved back to the area. We like the location and that it’s not always as crowded as Penn Square Mall. Pricing of movie tickets seems standard too, though I don’t keep up with the price much.

I’ve only been to this theater once when visiting family in Oklahoma. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. It wasn’t too crowded. The concession stand offered a wide range of snacks and drinks. The atmosphere was a little drab and the seats weren’t the most comfortable plus they didn’t have stadium seating. However, I’d definitely go again!

Very dated theater. Poor cleaning between shows. Think a dollar theater charging full price. Popcorn is not fresh. Stored in huge bags and is warmed. Some of worst popcorn I have had. They need to invest if they want to compete with other area theaters. Positive is location and ease of access. Saves a 25 min drive to the mall or tensel town.

Large Pepsi $4.Quaint and dated, but seriously nice employees. You get to see the movie in peace. Were literally the only people in the entire theater right now. Its a Thursday night. 7.50 student ticket. 9.50 adult ticketConsidering Im used to the Moore Warren and Stillwater AMC, I was very pleased with the value. I can hear the movie next to us in quiet moments, thats a bit lame but meh... Im happy we did this.Its in a little strip mall and its small.... but a great deal.

Me and my daughter like coming here because its not Rowdy loud a bunch of disrespectful kids its just very quiet and peaceful you can enjoy your movie and eat your popcorn and snacks and dont have to worry about none of that.

The only negative thing I can say about this cinema is that its lacking a bit in the atmosphere department. Slightly dingy and dark, but thats to be expected in a smaller location such as this one. Overall, a decent place to see a movie.

Every single time I go to this theatre, it gets better every time. Its really nice that Edmond has a small movie theatre that has affordable prices, has a great location close to everything, reasonable prices for snacks and drinks and friendly staff. As long as Im living in Edmond, I will always consider Kickingbird Cinema to be my top choice for movie going.

This is the worst movie theater Ive ever been too I feel like Im in the first one ever made. They have like maybe 10 items at there concession stand and the seats are super low and there are no middle seats I wish I could rate this a zero star but one is as low as I could

I liked this theater! It is small and not crowded! It is good if you do not want to be seeing movies with to many people! The only argument I have against this place is that I do not consider it builded or completely accommodated for wheelchair people! There is handicap parking and a person with wheelchair can enter, but there is no designed spot to place a wheelchair person in the theater room. The person either has to be extremely close to the screen or hop from the wheelchair to a cinema chair (if the person is capable to this), and close the wheelchair beside where they are siting. Also, the restroom has a very small space in the wheelchair accessible restroom/stall. It might work for small wheelchairs but not for bigger ones.

Mildly overpriced. The ticket fee is comparable to the AMC theater down the street. This theater is smaller and has significantly less movies. Concessions prices are on par with other theaters and the facility cleanliness is adequate. Id recommend going to this theater if theres a movie that youve been wanting to see and its been out for a few weeks. If you go on opening weekend, you will be just about shoulder-to-shoulder with other guests. I live close to this theater but I generally find myself driving the few extra miles to go to AMC. Nothing special here.

Great place to see a movie. Love the location in Edmond as well. It is much more convenient than AMC or the other huge theatres. This is my go-to place to see a movie.

Some neighborhood movie theaters are charming, a nice break from the monumental modern ones, but this one is not. We were not sure if it was clean or dirty because it shows its age, know what I mean? I was also a bit on the defensive because the cashiers kept asking for my ID, at the ticket counter and at the snack shop.

Been going since kids were young, now they take their kids. The staff is above all others and actually look at you and smile. Nell the manager has been there along time and makes a point to know who you are and it just feels like family.

Its always uncrowded but I wish they had coke products.

A delightful place to enjoy a movie, especially for families. Nell & Janelle (managers) are fun, outgoing people who make it a point to see that you have a good time while you are there. And they succeed!

You can always find a seat in this theater and you dont have big mall crowds. There is a circle drive right up to the door. No IMAX, good sound system, clean, North East side of Edmond. For us, easy to get to and several restaurants to choose from after or before the show.

Overpriced. A ten minute drive and youll be at a more modern theater for the same price. If Edmond gets another theater in the future Kickingbird will seriously have to switch up their game.

Good location in Edmond when you dont feel like driving into the city and dealing with traffic. Prices are reasonable for movie tickets as well as food items. Always showing a great selection of new movies!

Wednesday, 2/22/2017 my mother and aunt went to the 3:40 PM showing of La La Land. My aunts purse fell on the floor while they were watching the movie and she didnt realize her wallet had fallen out. This morning she discovered her wallet must have fallen out in the dark theater. She drove to Kickingbird Cinema this afternoon before they open. The manager opened the door for her and indeed, they had found her wallet and it was returned to her. All of the money and credit cards were still there! Amazing. Ive gone to the movies here for over 20 years and its still the cleanest, both in the theaters and the restrooms. The employees are always friendly and willing to serve you right away. You can tell they really love their jobs. GREAT JOB to the management team, I know its not easy to work with First Job young adults.

We are trying to decide where to go see this weekend and I am realizing that the determining factor for me at this theater is the popcorn. Since I moved to Edmond last year and began going here, the popcorn has always been so salty that I dont want to eat it. They even gave me a new bag once, and it was just as salty as the first. Didnt finish but the first part of the bag.Other than that, this theater is very nice to have nearby, and the prices are better than for the bigger theaters. The seating and screen work okay.So for me it comes down to the popcorn. In addition to the saltiness, the popcorn is not freshly popped--the pour it out of a bag--and that is a bummer too. Id put up with that aspect some of the time if it wasnt for so much salt that I cant even eat more than a few bites.What is a movie out, without popcorn?So, I am thinking this is a holiday weekend and I want a good experience....probably will go to another theater.

Outdated and quaint

I go here because its the closest, we live in to country. The popcorn and drinks are very costly, so I expect it to be good. Yesterday it tasted like oil was poured over the popcorn. One bathroom is so small you cant turn around.

The sticky floors, small uncomfortable seating and aged decor really bring me back to my earlier years. Kickingbird will always hold a special place in the heart of Edmonites, but we definitelt wouldnt mind a bit of a remodel

Great local neighborhood movie theater. If you dont feel like going to the bigger movie theaters with all the crowds this is an excellent alternative. The concession stand has good prices as well. If youre a bigger guy like myself the seats can get uncomfortable during the longer 3 hour movies since this is an older movie theater and built for shorter people.

Its small and not crowded. Its prices are decent and its in a great location. Much more convenient to get to and get out of than Tinseltown or AMC at Quail. Would not see my most anticipated movies of the year as Tinseltown and AMC have better screens, sound, etc but its great for movies you arent super hyped about.
