Greens are WAY to fast for this time year. Pins are in very difficult positions with the greens being so very fast. If it wasnt such a beautiful fall day, it wouldnt have been a fun day because of the fast conditions. Come on really?? Unless youre a scratch golfer its hard to enjoy this kind of set up. 11/15/20 is the date, so just happy to get a round of golf in really.

I dont typically like to get online and write negative reviews about an establishment or place of business, but when you as a paying customer are treated the way I was by the staff/management of The Golf Club of Edmond and like many other paying customers on Memorial Day (5/28/2018). I believe it warrants a few minutes of my time to let others know about my bad experience and what you can expect from them when you play here. I reserved the 10:30 a.m. tee time for my party on Memorial Day. I did so about 3 days in advance..why?? Because we wanted an early tee time on MEMORIAL DAY..it was what you would expect it to be on a holiday..CROWDED or in other words BUSY. Now if you look at the images I posted this is what I saw at the 1st Tee Box when I pulled in to their parking lot at 10:10 a.m. twenty minutes before my scheduled tee time..It looked like a TOURNAMENT was getting ready to kick off. When I go inside the clubhouse to check-in naturally I was already ticked and when I get to the counter..this is what gets me..it’s not that I had an issue with the 2 women working at the counter that day, but it was with their Manager or in this case I believe the Golf Pro. Since according to the 2 women there he caused this mess or I should say allowed it to happen. The GOLF PRO allowed 2 members the night before MEMORIAL DAY to reserve two early tee times for 2 parties. (1 party = 4 people) when these members showed up they came with enough golfers to make up 4 parties or more..The GOLF PRO told them it was fine and to go ahead and play..WITH NO REGARD FOR THE CUSTOMERS WHO HAD ALREADY RESERVED A TEE TIME. The Golf Pro to accommodate these “MEMBERS” backed up everyone by at least 30 minutes for those who teed off after them. When I asked if I would receive a discount for the round their staff members laughed like that was a stupid question..what they did say was “so do you still want to play”? Like really?? Where on the Day of Memorial Day am I going to be able to get another tee time before noon. It was an extremely frustrating start to the day to say the least and you would think they would maybe offer everyone they have inconvenienced at least one complimentary beer while they wait..but no that would be asking for too much. For this price there are better courses you can play and if you are not a “member” you’ll be treated as if you were a member and not like a 2nd class citizen. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND UNTIL upper management or the current GOLF PRO has been replaced. For updates on the course itself the greens and fairways were in good shape, but the majority off the tee boxes are horrendous.

No water provided on course. You cant bring your own ice chest with water. They provide ice chest ONLY if you buy the water there.Tee times are too close causing back ups on almost all holes.Sometimes as much as 30 minutes.Greens are in mediocre shapeOnly bright spot is the grill help and cart ladies

Awesome place to golf! People who golf here are very respectful and dont hold up the course. The food is awesome! The staff gets food and drinks out to you anywhere on the course in a hurry, almost as if they know what you are gonna know what you want and need before you do. Oh, and the mix drinks and margaritas are on a level of their own! The bartender is definitely a professional! My hats off to this golf club!

One of the worst experiences Ive had at a metro golf course ever. We had a 10am tee time on Sunday and the course was normal weekend busy. We were called to the 1st tee at 9:50, we were all present and ready waiting. The starter asked why were late, rushed us off the tee when the group in front of us had barely cleared, and was extremely rude about it. Bad start to the round, but whatever. Got to the 2nd hole, as soon as the fairway cleared we hit. We were in the fairway waiting for the lay up area to clear, when the group behind yelled at us to hurry up. We called the pro to tell him about the group and he said everyone seems to be on pace according to the carts gps. Ended up getting in an altercation on 3 tee box with the group. On top of all of this, the tee boxes were an absolute disaster, struggled to find one level spot to tee off on every hole. Cant believe its $50 to play this course and the lack of management and professionalism by majority of the staff is a joke. The cart girl and the bartender inside were friendly, professional and the only two people our group encountered all day who made the round pleasant. I will not be playing this course ever again and will make sure my friends and coworkers do the same.

Pretty course, but management of course and policies are horrendous. Played 9 holes in just under 3 hours due to 2 6somes and a 5some in front of us. Sadly had my father in law meet me from Dallas to play here (Im from Tulsa).Follow up, made this exact post on Facebook and the Marshall caught up to us on hole 8 and said to take down the post or leave. I was thinking he was going to apologize for the slow play but he gave us an ultimatum to leave instead. Pretty comical the attitude and abrasiveness of the Marshall. The complete opposite of most rules of customer service Ive ever been party to.Needless to say we left before it became an uglier situation.

Staff/owner went out of their way to accommodate a large tournament that was rained out halfway through the round. They definitely went above and beyond to make sure everyone would be able to play their round sometime in the future.

They’ve got a few fun holes, but the course layout/conditioning isn’t worth the price. I’d recommend Lincoln Park West and Kickingbird. Also, they charge you for a cart even if you walk. They’ll tell you it’s built-in to the green fee. $50 here vs. $29 at Lincoln is a no brainer

Been playing here since it was Fairfax CC. Why? It is a fun course with character. It fell in disrepair at one point and has been steadily getting better. Still a ways to go.The old #18 was more fun for sure, along with #7 which was shortened due to urban sprawl. The greens are in terrible shape as no one repairs marks. What happened to “yours and at least one more?”The technology on the cart is a pain. In the middle of the d@@n cart path, the cart goes dead. Even happened in middle of fairway going from one ball to another. Please fix.Fees going up, not a problem if it’s worth it.Will continue to play there because until these things are fixed, it’s easy to get a tee time.

I absolutely love this course. Great greens & nice challenging fairways. Hole 3 is my favorite, island green in a lake. But the people who play here are some of the most entitled and insufferable people I’ve met. Like seriously, you’re playing at a public course in Oklahoma, You’re 35, not going pro or probably going to amount to anything in life. Chill out.

This golf course is great. The best part are the greens. They have a lot of movement making for interesting putting. The front 9 has several water hazards which are a welcome experience. They are much more fun to play some of the others around okc which just have water randomly placed. The back 9 is more traditional but still great. GPS carts are awesome and the north facing driving range is great for morning practice. One of the best public courses around okc.

I have played several courses in the area and I have to say this place has the best atmosphere and the workers are friendly, helpful and welcoming. The golf carts have a GPS system on them and you can order food and beverages and the workers bring you stuff out on the course with a smile. My Dad and I played in the Thursday Night Scramble recently and we had a blast. I would highly recommend playing here to anyone.

The Golf Club of Edmond decided to host a junior PGA tournament and they were not prepared! They made the majority people walk around an expansive golf course on a VERY HOT day. They had rented all of the golf carts out to normal members and little to none for the guest. They were simply not prepared for it. I hope that no one else had to go through what I went through.

Better be on your A game at Fairfax. Tight off the tee and not all that forgiving on the approach shot. With rare exception a driver is not recommended off the tee. However, there is one par 5 that is 690 yards from the back tees. The greens are rolling and there are a few with tiers. Conditions are nice. The course is changing some due to home construction but is settling in to a tough par 70 layout. Fairfax is worth playing.

If you like to go to the beach look no further. GCE driving range is YOUR summer getaway not only does it feature cool USB ports that only work 35% of the time...they also have cool tv’s. If you want to see a real life t-Rex there will be a 80% chance that Marty G will be hitting flops around the putting green. And if you love being told what to do this is your place

Not as advertised as they do not always provide complimentary range balls as they like to close their range after a bit of rain. No discount is offered when this happens.Additionally, the manner in which they force you to provide an email to simply pay is absurd. If a costumer doesn’t want to give an email they shouldn’t be forced to. By the time I got back to the parking lot I already received 3 emails from this place. I don’t want your spam.I miss Fairfax.

Overall still my favorite public course in central OK with some reservations. Carts are awesome (GPS, USB ports for charging) the clubhouse is great too (good gear for purchase and good food). The course is fun and the layout is great but the back 9 gets boring at hole 14, not very dynamic and 18 is my least favorite closing hole in Oklahoma. Youll have a great time, as long as you arent stuck behind unready golfers (hard to avoid out here). If youre in OKC for a short time and you cant play the private courses, GC of Edmond is one you MUST play!

Pace of play was rediculous. Just like the picture above they allowed a fivesome to hold up the entire course with no rangers in sight all day. $15 charge for extra rider when the cart was going out anyway. No extra cart involved. Greens were full of ballmarks, again, no rangers in sight to coach the beginners who play here.

The course itself is fine and its in pretty good shape. But dont let the new name fool you, the management of the golfers on the course is still nonexistent. There is no starter, so groups can tee off whenever they feel like it. Today I teed off at 8:30 for my 8:10 tee time and played over a 5 hour round thanks to the sixsome in front my group. They each played multiple balls and finished three holes beind the fivesome in front of them. The marshall drove by several times but didnt bother to ask them to speed up.Being a resident, Im embarrassed they have claimed the name, The Golf Club of Edmond. Save yourself a couple hours and frustration by going to any other course in the area.
