We, family of four, with 2 kids (daughter, son) had a very horrid experience with Chuck E Cheese in RT -1 N, Edison, NJ. We bought an hours worth of play card for my boy as the representative @ Chuck E Cheese suggested to buy an hour card rather than a points based play card. He assured that he was not going to cheat us in any manner.We bought the hour’s worth of play card and gave it to my child. We left my daughter to assist my younger child and we stepped out.After a few minutes, I got a call from my daughter saying that the play card is not working and when she asked the manager - ‘Matt’ , he said the play card has no points left. This is just after few minutes and my child didn’t even start playing( he was attempting to play, but the play card did not work).When we came and showed the manager ‘Matt’ the receipt, he falsely accused my child of losing the card and that the play card given by my child is not the same. ‘Matt’ also mentioned that he would have to track my child’s activity so as to figure out where exactly my son lost the card( I asked my son and daughter and they never lost any card. The play card is the right card and they did not misplace it.The manager - Matt was insistent that he would not be able to replace the card nor refund us the money. They went inside and after tracking my child’s activity, the manager - ‘Matt’ started making a statement that my child had played 2 games from the card (which he did not) and he will not refund the money and started comparing the lost plastic card to a sale item from the best buy. He went on to give a sales pitch about a bracelet and how it would protect my child ‘s card from falling down. I talked with other employees and they returned with another card but the manager - Matt did not allow my child to play, falsely claiming that my child did not return back the right play card.Looks like, here, at Edison - Chuck E Cheese , even a child’s happiness does not mater, leave alone big claims about all lives matter. I asked the manager to keep the money as I did not want to argue anymore and disappoint my child. As a mother I give worth to my child’s happiness. I left the Chuck E Cheese @ Rt-1 North, Edison to a different Chuck E Cheese ( I didn’t want to disappoint my child ). But, the fact remains, Manager -Matt @ Chuck E Cheese , Rt-1 N, Edison and team, shabby customer service is their badge of honor.

Lovely place my kids enjoy a lot. We love bowling and video games and specially Pizza is delicious. Cheese crust in pizza for kids . Veg pizza is also tasty one. One hour card $23 you take and play anything you want to play. You can pause your time 2 times. Greta place to have family time. Most recommended family place.

Went on a Saturday at 10am. They do temperature screening and sanitize all guests hands upon entering. Place very VERY clean. Staff was INCREDIBLY FRIENDLY and accommodating. We were the only ones there until about 1130 when we were getting ready to leave anyway. Very impressed with cleanliness.

I liked that the franchise disinfects the high touch areas while customers are present. They also walk around and ask if there is anything they can do and if youre enjoying yourself.

I just love this place, just went back for the first time after Covid this passed Friday and the place was pretty empty and clean...my children had such a blast. There were other families there but everyone had kept their distance in respect to social distancing for Covid. The menu had changed too...I love their new meal deals...

The children had fun and enjoyed their time there. The only reason why Im giving 4 stars is because I just dont care for the setup, and some of the games werent working. I agree with a previous poster, that its time for Chuck E Cheese to do some updates. All of the parties take place in the same party area so it felt a bit crowded and overwhelming for me. There were 5 or more parties all in the party area, all singing happy birthday at the same time, people trying to take pictures, or get through the crowd to their party table. It was too much going on. Overall, its not a bad place for the money you spend.

This is one of the most favorite places for us. Weekends are crowded but weekdays are less crowded here.The staff is welcoming at this location and keeps all rides and games clean. Its been several years for us going here. We did birthdays in chuckecheese and we have never been disappointed. Its a fun place for all ages which keeps kids amuse in cold winters and even on extreme warm day in summers. Its a kids must go place.

Great place for the kids but the ticket rewards are capped at 8 tickets a game. It was never like that but nonetheless it was fun for the kiddos

We arrived at 11:05am, doors were locked. With COVD, we are looking for things to do with the kids. We called no answer, we waited 30mins, no one ever showed up. Very upsetting to drive 20mins to go there then you wait another 30mins to see if they open. We gave up at 1140. Very disappointed

Good place to bring the kids. Games are cheap or they have unlimited games for set amounts of time now. Games do not give many tickets though so kids may be slightly disappointed. We have been to other ones which have more updated games as well.Birthday party was run pretty well but the food is not great. It would be great if they revamped that including the pizza.

Its a great place for the little ones and the staff here is extremely kind! The only thing I dislike about this place is the whole ticket system. Instead of using paper, Id rather use an electronic system like Dave & Busters has.

Morning parties are fantastic. Melanie was fantastic with handling all of our party needs along with singing and dancing. All the staff was super helpful and friendly. Awesome job everyone.

The service is excellent. The restrooms are clean. It is lively and very exciting for the kids. I had fun taking photos on the photo booth with my 5 year old daughter. Im definitely taking my kids there again soon.

Fun..kids had good time

Pretty hectic. Recommend getting time instead of coins if the kid is young and keeps dying in the games. You just keep feeding credits in. But if your kid has a lot if energy to burn then this is a cool place for them to go from one game to another rapidly

Great Birthday or general kids party venue.Game time was well organized as was the pizza and cake portions.The ticket redemption machines were clunky and unreliable causing much party time to be consumed dealing with them. Fortunately, the staff were responsive and quick with helping children and parents with the outdated system.Excellent system for keeping children safe and preventing them from leaving without the parent or guardians they came with.

Nice place for kids to hang with. Many good games to explore and can win tickets for few. If you collect more number of tickets, we can get any of the toys in return of the tickets

Its a decent enough arcade. Its sufficient enough to entertain children if youre looking for a place for kids to play. The food is good enough for the purposes of stomach filling while playing games. There are a few machines that are always broken that they dont seem to care to fix or replace, but theyre far and few between. Its great for birthday parties.

Place inside is kinda small. Machines for kids need update. And need to have more variety of machines for them. after all, this place is made for kids not for grown ups. Pizza sucks.Good spacious parking lot though.

Slow service anf poor quality

Nice place to bring kids for some fun time. Even parents can join them in few games & there are some slots where you can take pictures together. Wish they had an indoor playground as well, so that kids could get to interact with each other. Also, their pizza is very tasty but a bit pricey ($10 for a small personal pizza). Overall a good place.

The pizza is great and the games are fun but the hamster wheel didnt give me any tickets last time I went. The partys are expensive (for me at least) and the animatronics look like they are starting into your soul. But they are nice. PLEASE DONT GET RID OF THEM CHUCK E CHEESE

Been there for years....need I say more. If u got a kid younger then 10, bring them for games, pizza, whatever. If you do, definitely get a package on the pizza, coins / credits, drinks, and depending on the package you get a discount. The place is safe, hands stamped upon entry with a employee at a turnstile at the entrance / exit. There is a ton of parking, so great for birthday parties or an afternoon playdate. The location is also super clean, service was awesome.

Cool spot for the little ones. My daughter is 4 and she loves this places. Not sure what is like during the weekend, but during the weekdays is pretty empty with a lot of room for her to run around.

We held a party for our 6 year old and I have had the best experience as the guest. The team did everything that I was worried about more so. The party host Mel was fantastic. Leonna (I apologize if I got that incorrectly) and Matt were so helpful and so kind. They took care of the guests, entertaining the kids, handling all requests with patience and kindness and doing justice to cutting that cake. Highly recommend this venue for all your young child party needs. Great job everyone and thank you. Everyone was/is still talking about how great the party was.

Used to be a great place. I have been coming to this particular location since I was a child, now my children always visit. This place has changed a lot removing the ball pits and tunnels which I believe were the best parts. Now everything is a game like an arcade. The prices of pizza are ridiculous. The kids still have fun which is why I gave 3 stars, but physically activity is better than electronic.

Watching my 2 year old granddaughter enjoy her birthday party, was a great highlight in my life. This place was positively ASTOUNDING!

Enjoy taking my kids here. Only Reason Im giving 4 stars and not 5 is because I think its already time for Chuck E. Cheese to make some upgrades on how many games they have bring in MORE...They should definitely bring in some new ones...Some games even growns up can also play and enjoy. Excellent customer service so much fun

I disagree with Mr. Eric Monroes review. For those who havent read it he basically says the animatronics are dated and the games and pizza have the kids not wanna watch them anyways. I remember as a kid and even to this day the main thing about CEC and what made it Chuck E. Cheese was the animatronic show. It was fascinating seeing them perform as a kid and seeing as now that the games arent as good as the games from my childhood and the food is good but a bit overpriced, the animatronic show is still the best. I actually have a friend who works here and fixes the animatronics and he got the animatronic Helen and Pasqually new masks so they dont look as old and dated as they are(I think hes going to get more updates but they are expensive so hell probably wait until the store has budget $ for more). But hes kind of right, I mean these days the audience for the show has kind of gone down which is why CEC wants to remove them. But the animatronics will always have a place and my heart and will always be my favorite part abt a visit to CEC.I always passed by this Chuck E. Cheese as a kid and I always wanted to go in but my parents never let me. We went to the one on Route 22 in Union when I was a kid and they used to have the whole animatronic band and it was so cool to see them perform when I was young. Unfortunately, that CEC isnt what it used to be anymore and that made me not wanna go anymore. In 2010 I finally got to go here and was surprised they still had the animatronic band bc I thought all the newly modeled stores got rid of the band and had the solo chuck Studio C stage. But it was cool they still had the whole band. I always have fun when I visit. And I gotta admit its better than most of the stores in this area. I guess my only complaint is that its a bit on the small side but its still a nice CEC! Friendly employees, fun games, great food, and awesome animatronic show! 5 stars!

The only problem with this place is if you get in your children wont come out. Children love this place. They have so many game for almost all ages of children.

It was a nice experience going to a Chuck E Cheese for the first time since I was a young teenager, Im 36 now. They have quite a bit of fun stuff for little kids and toddlers. One half is the games more for little kids and the other half is the games for teenagers and adults. Pizza not as good as it used to be when I was little but its more for the little ones to have fun. We got 2 pies and a sampler and was enough food to feed 5 or 6 people. Id definitely go back again. I believe they close at 11pm, we went on a Friday. Nice size parking lot with plenty of parking

Me,my wife,and our 2yr old daughter had a great time there! Except for when it was after 45 minutes to get one medium pizza pie and an order of chicken nuggets! They are very disorganized there! They had a few parties going on so the rest of the customers that were not in the party crowd had to wait minimum 45 min to an hour to receive our food! Anyway, food finally came out ,pizza and the nuggets at the same time,no clue to why that happened, when the chicken nuggets shouldve came out first! Pizza was good ,but the chicken nuggets were so nasty and gross! On top of that ,the drink fountain machine gave me some sort of liquid besides the mountain dew that i poured! My wife got a sweet iced tea which taste like water ! When i asked for the manager, i was told that they were cooking pizzas in the back!? Eat before you go and you will enjoy your time here!.

Best kids play park

Its such a fun place for the children! Birthday parties are ideal here because they have lots of activities for all ages. It can get busy so choose the location and time and date of your visit wisely.

I took my grandson n he had the best time ever.

Went with my kids to play some games and mine daughter had to use restroom. After looking for family restroom I was told by employee that there is no family restroom and I have to take mine daughter inside the men restroom. I think the place that kids are major part of the business should have family restroom room so 5 year girl don’t have to go inside a men’s restroom.

Great place to go with young children! Cotton candy and pizza are my 4 year old granddaughters favorite. You can spend about 3 hours there, and not get bored:) I would have given it 5 stars if when it gets crowded they had more help to buy food!

This is one of the better restaurants/ arcades for children. Although it’s always crowded it’s very friendly and the children always have a blast. I have never had a problem with the food it’s very good. Chuck E. Cheese always have lots of coupons you can get from offline. All you need is the code, the can get it off your phone. The rides are great because the children are never bored. Very friendly atmosphere for families.

Good place and location but very very busy. Went for a birthday party there it seemed they have an assembly line of birthdays going. I would not recommend going just by your self since there are always a ton of birthdays being hosted all the time. Overall it is clean and nicely lit.

So I really liked it in the first place but then when I played basketball it said i have 5 points left but then when I left to play subway surfers It said please recharge

The place is roomy and relatively clean, the kids had such a good time and a lot of fun. The thing that I didnt like was customer service, they dont give you time to explain. So I bought coins, but actually it was a card now loaded with them that you tap at each machine to play, the receipt didnt come out after the transaction, I asked for help, I was told to wait, wait a very long time, then the same person told me the paper was out.......I was so disappointed .

Another great place for kids to hangout and have find with games

A lot of the arcade games didnt give out tickets but Chuck E. always came out on time, went out of the way to gather the kids, and knew the dances well. My little brother is a big fan. I would label him a Chuck E. Cheese expert. So, if he had no complaints, everything was well. He left with a smile. Great job staff!

Good location because there is plenty of parking. This place is definitely nice even on crowded days because it is big. There are a lot of different games and fun stuff for all ages.There were birthday parties like always on the weekends and still enough for my son to do. I had old chuck E cheese coins and the manager helped me change them into the new electronically swipe card system they now use.

Had my twin boys bday party here yesterday. From beginning to end, the management and team was attentive and stuck to the time and plan. They were very helpful and fun! Im appreciative that they made my sons bday a great one. Thank you!!

The location is clean and there are enough ride options for a toddler. My kids had a great time. My only complaint is that it was understaffed and we were overcharged for our food. It seemed weird at the time, but I was distracted with my kids. I later looked up the prices and realized that we were not charged correctly. What made it worse is that our pizza was over cooked/crusty.I would bring my kids back, but just double check when having any exchange of money.

The service is definitely terrible.Today is my sons birthday. I decided to take him to there for having fun. Everything was ok until we went to the counter to choose our prizes. This was our first time doing this. A girl was taking care of us but her attitude was so bad. She was impatient when my son trying to choose what he wants. She rolled her eyes in front of him and she sighed couple of times to rushed him. When we left, I asked my son how he felt? He said: I was so happy that you took me here but the lady just ruined my day. I was so sad to heared that... This is the worst experience.

Great prices and a great staff

I have been 2 or 3 different chuck e cheese but this one isnt the best one. Some of the machine use the credit but kids cant play on them and some u wont spit out the winning tickets. Over all ok place if u just wanna spend 10 15 dollars and dont wanna drive far

While the games have not changed in eons, the pizza was much better than I remember it used to be in the 70s.

The ChuckECheese experience was fun until it more people began to arrive and the staff were short! The person attending the new guests with stamps had to do BOTH check in/ welcome in addition to claiming prizes with tickets. One person assisted with orders so the line was close to a 10 minute wait. The line for rewards as well because the young lady had to stop assisting a child (midway), everytime a new guest walked in. There should definitely be more than 3 employees working out front, especially during the summer.

Yesterday (Tuesday 8/6/2019) was my first time bringing my child to chuck e cheese in Edison. We ordered one personal pie and my friend ordered a free pie she had a coupon for. Ive never been here so i dont know what size they are or anything like that and as we were waiting for the pizzas we were running around with the kids. Then we see that our tables have our pizzas so we finally wrangle the kids up and get them to sit down. When we start to eat we realise it wasnt what we ordered but the kids already started eating from the pies. At that point its kinda too late to give the pizza back so we continue to eat after five minutes of sitting down eating some guy comes over asking for a receipt. (The pizza had now been sitting at our table for over 15 minutes at any point we couldve been asked to show our receipt and the order couldve been fixed if it was a big deal) We show him our receipts immediately and he says we didnt pay for the big ones so we offer to pay the difference and right in the middle of the children eating he grabs both large pies already eaten from, having to reach over my daughter to get it and then take them straight to the garbage and claims we got what we paid for and he wasnt wasting food. He then says no we cant pay for them because he doesnt want us to waste our money we already got what we deserved (which actually we didnt cuz we never got the personal pies we ordered, and didnt even eat enough from the large pie to equal the amount in the personal pies). When we tried to ask why would he waste the food like that, when we were willing to pay, while the children were in the middle of eating he said, i didnt waste anything, its whatever, cuz it only costs 20 cents for us to make anyways so its no big deal. Never in my life have I seen such ignorant, childlike behavior from an establishment for children. Unbelievable. We of course ask for a manager and was told they werent there. And when i said Id like the remainder of the pizza we paid for because we didnt actually get what we paid for he ignored me. They made a mistake, we offered to pay for their mistake and instead of fixing the mistake they throw it away, in front of and in the middle of the children still eating. This is inexcusable. I feel like he was embarrassed he made a mistake and instead of fixing the mistake and making it better he made the situation worse and he acted immature and uncalled for. Im a very saddened by this because my daughter had a great time and I know my friend has frequented this establishment many times. For a first time visitor and a frequent visitor who has spent hundreds of dollars to be treated with such disregard and to do it in front of the children and entire establishment is embarrassing and quite frankly unprofessional and disgusting. I really hope by me making this aware will make them accountable and put out awareness that treatment like this is not appropriate and should not be tolerated.

This Edison location is very good. The food has improved a lot and the stuffed pizza is delicious. The wings are a little dry but still good. As always, kids had a lot of fun with plenty of games to choose. Staff is ok. Some are nice and some rude but in general is a good place to go

Not enough staff for a busy Saturday afternoon. Only 3 people in the floor which was the person taking the orders, the person stamping people hands as you walk in and the occasional person handling the prizes whenever they wanted.

Getting away from the coins and moving towards electronic fulfillment, gets you more cash quicker; however, the money drains just as fast down the beach boardwalk so we just go there now.The pizza is much better though

Very poor service, staffs are slow and rude, management sucks.We got T-mobile deal and went there, bought $5 game card and order the free pizza that was part of the t mobile.They took the order and asked us to sit for 30-40 mins, and we kept waiting and pizza never came.It happened with 10-15 families, when we asked after waiting for 2 hrs, they replied we are out of dough and cant give you pizza.One of the lady staff was really rude and she doesnt know how to talk to customers.I know children love chuck e cheese, but please avoid this US1 location.We will never visit this location again. And would like Chuck E cheese management to do something about this location.

Amazing place for the kiddos. Starts to get busy after 5:30 on Monday through Friday. Weekends are crazy. During the day before 5 very relaxing nice atmosphere. Managers are very helpful and nice. We love this place

This place is awful. If you like to play also and get tickets for your kids DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION ..... All the games, i mean 100% of the games are fixed to give you a maximum of 8 tickets no matter which jackpot you hit.....This is DEFINITELY not the spot to visit....

Just had our daughter’s birthday here and Nya was the best hostess we’ve had at a birthday party. She was fun, organized, friendly and made the entire night enjoyable and easy for all of us. Cassandra, the manager, was extremely attentive and friendly as well. They made a great team and deserve the credit for a great party. Thank you!
