My kids had so much fun, worked out great because there wasnt anyone there so we were able to have plenty of space and one on one time to make the slime. The staff was so helpful and made the event really enjoyable. We went for a bday surprise for my son.

Amazing ! Wish there was places like this when I was young I think I had just as fun as my daughter who loves slime! The best experience, everything was organized, fun , especially the set up! Love it defiantly a go to spot .. will be back for sure ! My daughter loves slime but this topped it off. Them girl who works there is amazing as well as the boss they make you feel comfortable the whole time , very kid friendly !!!!!

Super honest review. I took my 8 year old twin boys here today, it was their first time. They loved it! We had the pleasure of being guided by a young African American man (Im kicking myself for not remembering his name. Im certain he introduced himself when he greeted the boys.) He was patient and did his best to be personable. My children are naturally hesitant with strangers and it takes them a minute to warm up and let their guard down to be able to take instruction from a stranger. This was no problem with this young man, if he was annoyed by it he certainly didnt show it.I have read other reviews regarding the owner and admit I understand where other parents are coming from because I witnessed some of the same behaviors others complained about. However, what I also took into consideration was how much pressure small businesses such as this must be under adhering to enhanced safety guidelines due to Covid-19 and still trying to deliver a good experience.What I would do differently next time is purchase a ticket for myself as well. My children have a communication impairment which means it takes them a little longer to take verbal instructions without a visual guide. If I purchase a ticket for myself then I will be able to make the slime along with them so they get those visual cues along with the verbal instruction that they need. The thing is the owner was getting what seemed to be impatient when it was taking them a bit longer than I guess most kids. But I also understand that the package I purchased had a time restriction. While I think any profession dealing with children should be aware and sensitive to the fact they will be dealing with children of varying abilities, I also firmly believe it is the parents job to be sure they plan for ways to make their childs experience a great one.My boys enjoyed it and both said without hesitation that they want to go back. We will all be making alime next visit.

This is a cool place for kids. Organized, clean, professional and friendly. The owner is a gem. My kids had a great time. Every kid got personal attention and assistance when needed. Very hands on.

My daughter had a wonderful time at the Slime Factory. Wanted to do something fun because Covid-19 has definitely taken over 2020. We traveled from Philadelphia to the Menlo Park Mall. The staff was excellent. Brad along with MeKai and Megan were hands on and very friendly. I definitely recommend bringing the kids especially if they love slime like my daughter does

I had scheduled a full experience for my daughter Emily and four of her friends yesterday at 3pm. One of the girls was running late and the girl at the counter told us we either had to start the class and lose the money paid for the other person or we can wait for the 4pm class. We walked around the mall and came back only to find out the person we were waiting on was still five minutes away. Another girl checked us in at 4 and told us it was fine, and when the girl gets there she will help get her started. When the girl arrived with her mom, the person who originally helped us at 3pm told her she could not jump into the activity and that she would have to wait for the 5pm class. I was quite upset because I paid in advance as a gift for my daughter and the kids were still at the first station making their fist slime when the last girl showed up. The class was not full and there was a place setting already there for her since I scheduled it, but the girl made a really big deal out of it and still wouldnt let her participate. We spoke to Brad, the owner, and he was very understanding. He offered to help catch the girl up on her first slime himself. My daughters friend was upset that she was late and he went out of his way to make her feel better and give her a good experience. We were all so thankful for that. He then wished my daughter a happy birthday in front of all of the kids, which made her smile. So an experience which started off very frustrating turned out to be one of the best days (according to my daughter and her friends), and that is largely in part to Brad taking the time out to make sure the kids had a great time. We were very appreciative for that. It was meant to be a special day and thanks to Brad it was. Thanks!

Kids had a great time! Staff was very friendly, fun, and entertaining. The owner was there and even though the staff was handling things very well, he came in and personally assisted a customer who was late. This is a great place for a day trip or birthday party. Prices are reasonable and worth every penny.

My kids loved it manager and workers were very accommodating and friendly. Owner was also super accommodating and friendly making sure all kids where helped and having fun. They helped the kids step by step and made sure everyone was doing it the correct way. It says one hour experience and after the kids made the slime ,they played in the slime pool and worker took their gloves off for the next couple people to play we still had 15min left. That was the only thing but still a lot of fun and worth the experience.

The place was really cool. Staff was amazing and my daughter had a great time. The owner however kept correcting the staff in front of the customer which was really annoying, unprofessional and the staff won’t take it for long I’m sure. I wouldn’t!So this owner can’t just take in the feedback the customer is telling him and say as an owner of a business with children I need to do better. He clearly has an answer for everything or so he thinks based on his outrageous responses to reviews below. There are other reviews below saying similar things and he is just blasting the customers publicly below.Horrible shame for a cool place.

I had an extremely unpleasant experience. The teenagers who work there had zero patience with the children and very dry personalities. When it came time to add things into their slime they directed all the children over to another table. We werent told that we couldnt add the cute little plastic beads and things in ourselves until after the girls were doing it. Once told told I instructed my daughter and her friend to wait for help. While the girls were finishing up playing with the fake snow the owner came to me in front of other customers to inform me about the pieces that were added in. He was very rude and accusing and proceeded to tell me they needed to take the add ins out of the slime or Id have to pay extra for them. Not once did he apologize for the inconvenience. I also overheard one of the employees telling a customer with a three year old that the owner was upset that some smaller children had made a mess earlier so she asked her to make sure the three year old doesnt make a mess. The last time I checked, slime was messy! What is the point of having a slime factory if you dont want things to get dirty?! I spent almost $80 for two kids for a mediocre slime experience with rude teenagers who didnt want to be bothered with young children. I will not return and I dont recommend anyone else visit this location in Menlo Park Mall, Edison, NJ

Overall, the staff was okay, a select few were attentive (besides one girl with long hair and glasses, who seems to have nothing better to do than be on her phone), but unfortunately had issues with the manager, Brad I believe was his name. He consistently yelled at staff members in front of clients (mostly CHILDREN) who should never be put in that position. The slime factory seems like it would be an amazing experience, but poorly executed by his extreme unprofessionalism. Someone with such explosive anger should NOT be around kids.

My 9 year old makes better slime in her bathroom. The staff looks quite miserable. I expected a high energy, animated, kid-pleasing vibe. Not worth the headache. Could have used the $34 on slime from Etsy and saved myself 3 hrs on a weekend.

We had the most amazing experience, the children are thrilled with their slime, the devotion and patience that Brad and the team put in to each child, is truly remarkable. Im so happy we found this place. I highly recommend it.

Did express 1 hour experience today. Really nice for little kids , however, today they were very busy and we felt like everything lacked the organization and kid friendliness that we would have expected. The manager was just not friendly. He got kids through activities but was not very friendly towards the kids. Staff who worked there were friendly but something was not working between them and manager today and this just made the experience not a very positive one for my daughter. Good luck.

Though the website shows an option for a walk-up price, the owner will not let you in without a reservation. He was extremely rude to my family, outright refusing them service and asking them to leave. Dispicable! One star is much to generous here, but Google wont let me give any less.

Overpriced. We paid for the full experience on a weekend and were disappointed when there was no slime show. WHY advertise this, if it no longer exists?? We should all be refunded $10 if you ask me!! People with yellow bracelets paid $18 and we paid $34. An extra $16 for our 2nd slime. Thats a little much. We also didnt receive a certificate which is also advertised. Overall, the kids had fun and thats what really matters.

Even with a reservation, we did not start until closer to 3:30. It was well over packed between reservations and walk-ins. The people who worked there were VERY rude. They were just throwing things around and it was incredibly unorganized. There was no “experience”. They put together the same combination of slime products they could have at home but in an uncomfortable, rushed environment. For the price that was paid, this was an awful experience and we will never attempt again.

As my sister stated below the whole non existing experience was awful and unorganized! From the second we walked through the door the owner (who noted below gave his own establishment a 5 star review) was literally yelling at the KIDS to not touch anything. If you made any type of mess at all you got scolded as if you were in grade school. Not exactly sure this man is in the right business being slime is extremely messy and children should be treated kindly since after all you did open a business for CHILDREN! Our children 4-8 did enjoy themselves until the 8 year old got yelled at one too many times from the owner and asked to leave pretty sad! I personally think the employees did a great job being they also get yelled out in front of everyone during the entire process from this man. I wouldn’t recommend brining your children here especially if you are a confrontational person because you will end up fighting with this man!

If I could give this place a negative rating i would. Extremely unorganized and very unprofessional. My 3 year old had a terrible experience. Everything was rushed, chaotic and staff was unprepared. The owner was rude to his workers, yelling at them in front of the customers. The workers were apologizing the whole way cause they were being rushed to rush us. My son couldnt even take home his slime cause it never turned to slime because we were rushed through the whole process. When asking to speak to the owner he was too busy talking to some woman outside and never came in to speak to us. Terrible place STAY AWAY.

I really enjoyed making slime with my daughter. We went on a Tuesday around 11am, so the mall was pretty empty. We were the only people in The Slime Factory at the time, and Slime instructor (I did not get her name) was very friendly and made the experience very enjoyable. My daughter was so excited to put on the lab coat and goggles and stir the mixture.I was told that weekends are pretty busy, so it’s best to make an appointment.So somehow my little Houdini opened her slime in the car (or maybe I did it so she would stop crying) and it was every where. I sprayed her coat and car seat with Oxiclean and soaked them overnight in cold water. With a little scrubbing and a lot of patience, I managed to get all the slime out. Now I need to figure out how to put this car seat back together I would definitely go back to the Slime Factory in Menlo Park Mall and will put the slime in the trunk of the car next time lol

Staff were just plain rude. They dont seem to be the type that likes to be around children and are not very accommodating. It is hard to imagine that this place is supposed to be fun and wind up walking away upset.

Very unorganized. The staff is uninformed of the procedure and literally do the whole thing for the child. They dont even tell the children what is being made, how its being made, or whatbis being put in. The child just watches. They dont tell you that the children dont get to put the toppings on their own, either. Also witnessed the owner, or someone who was “higher” in management yelling at a co-worker because she used the wrong cup. It was extremely uncomfortable.
