Ranger wouldnt let us eat under the shelter. It was a rental spot but was not being used and it was pouring. He let us sit in the gazebo, but not eat. He remained in his truck for 1/2 an hour watching to make sure that my husband and I and a woman with 3 young children did not take out any food. It was a pretty little park with a nice looking playground and an open field. Must be a nice place for groups to rent. Plenty of room for a large group.
Leon Smock 80-acre Park is almost like a miniature version of hartshorne woods up in navesink. Innumerable trails and deer runs throughout a mostly hardwood and Laurel rolling hills. The park has a strange shape and is easy to get spun around with most trails being similar; although orange and green blazes mark most of the larger trail system.
Went with dog for jog. Nice soft trails were good on the knees. Dry even after a rain the day before. Had to make a few trips around to get in the miles but I didnt mind. Even got to watch some baseball while cooling down. Nice park.
Great place for multiple recreational activities.
I had just moved to the area and was looking for a good walking trail. 80 acres park does not disappoint! It has well maintained trails with easy to see markers and plenty of beautiful foliage. The paths are sanded so even though it rained the night before, the trails were dry and easy to navigate. The park includes a nice sized playground for kids and two baseball fields. Despite the great weather, it wasnt crowded at all. Great plan to relax and take a load off! Highly recommend for joggers in the area.
Very good
Pathway or trails are awesome and basketball courts are great and I have to say nice place to walk your dogs and talk to friends and all around nice place to visit junk keep trying to keep cleaning up after your days are
A nice park to walk in. There are many different trails in this very wooded park and it is only 1 mile long. Very enjoyable.
This is a great little Park! A mixture of baseball fields ,playground ,wooded trails for hiking and trail biking!!!
Always like going on the trails and enjoying the scenery and peace.
Spent much of my childhood here. Its a shame that they are knocking down parts of the forest in order to put up more houses. Some of my best memories are from the woods off of old deal and 80 acres, both of which have been destroyed. Eatontown took a turn for the worse.
Great park. LL Field is very well kept.
Great place for a short or long walk.
Nice jogging trail.
Fun trails for biking and hiking
Peaceful wooded trails are perfect for a jog or walk.

The kids found a hypodermic needle in the dog out of the game. When I say kids they were kindergarten kids.
There is some creepy guys lurking around those near the new houses at the end of some trails dont go alone.
Another beautiful park. Full of majestic beauty and sights to behold.
