Its our local place for a lovely walk. The dogs love it, we get a lot of exercise. Watch out for the poison ivy

The park is nice with 2 picturesque lakes. However it is situated between 2 busy roads so no matter how deep you are in the park you will still hear the cars rushing by..

Carry in, carry out. Nice, peaceful and quiet. Well marked trails. Dogs allowed on leash.

Coming from NYC here is like entering a different world. Astonishing natural beauty.

Nature Study Woods on mountain bikes. Outstanding!

Wonderful area, especially if you are looking for more than your local park but cant reach Bear Mountain. The surrounding highway is largely covered by the sheltering treeline.Also, great path for running x-country. Mix of obstacles (roots, rocks, hills) and flat stretches of dirt and some concrete. Main path goes in a circle if you want to run laps. Maybe a mile or more in length.

Its mostly under the canopy of mature trees so it stays cool. The path is wide and you can go miles and miles. Recommend it highly.

Its a great walking spot, just being big spray

Good hike, but there is not much parking

This is a good park for a nature walk, run, or bike ride. Great for families too.

A good place who likes to hiking in forest.Everything about nature.They have also horse ride.But check out weather report before want to go there.If it rainy day you better skip your plan.

Beautiful county park for running or walking. Parking can be located by the equestrian center on California Rd.

This is about the only place that has good distance dirt Trail for running in a Scenic area. You are not allowed to bike these Trails. Some of the loops unfortunately have to include some running on roads. But it is my favorite trail running area in the region

If you like to hike and fish, this is the county park systems best kept secret. Nice wooded trails and decent fishing. Located next to an equestrian place.

Fantastic local spot to go for a lovely nature walk around the lake or trail through the surrounding municipalities. Also free parking.

Good place and not too crowded

Very good Place to go on mountain bikes varying terrain and a ton of fun hills and the best part is that it is local and is just dirt so it is really good for mountain bikers but I would recommend having a look about at where you are going to bike because a lot of hills have many sharp rocks.

Last week was my first visit here, and I can tell you right now: It was not the last one. The place is beautiful, and big enough for a second visit. Love the outdoor, and when a place like Twin lake county park is only 25 minutes away, I consider myself lucky.

Nice place to walk amongst lakes that were once reservoirs, and the dams that impound them. Mostly level through deep woods with some underpasses and overpasses. The Hutchinson River and its Parkway wind through.

Perfect place to learn how to horse back ride

Wonderful barn! Fabulous staff! Great people! We have been riding here for several years. My daughter and I now ride here everyday. Its a great place to learn, grow, and make friends. They even have summer camp and break camps when the kids are off from school and bored. Best way to get exercise and stay healthy.

Streams are high. Bare branches and cleared brush gives greater visibility. Wildlife walking in singles and pairs.

Its a nice park. plenty of tress and a place to relax in the environment.

Amazing & beautiful park. The wooded area goes on for miles and is a great place for tourists, hikers, bikers, and runners all alike. Wild animals roam through the forest and create a stunning view.

Nice park, with a few miles of trails that connect to the Colonial Greenway. If youre a runner, you can string together a nice run without crossing any roads (follow the white star in blue circle if you want to take the Colonial...its about 13 miles long and has maps posted at access points)

This is a review of the pros and cons of this park. This park is only suitable for trail walking, fishing, and observing wildlife observation and is not suitable for picnics, bbqs, and just plain sittingPros1. Park is very clean considering it is a public park. Yes their is litter but not that much of it.2. Entry is free no passes needed3. There is a horse stable if you wish to ride a horse.4. Very few people5. Their is wildlife such as white tail deer, red tailed hawks, and varies bird species and small mammal species to observe.6. Lake has largemouth bass, panfish, and probably pickerel7. The area is very clean and very safe very upscale neighborhoodCons1. Very ill suited for anything other then walking, horseback riding, and fishing.2. Tons of insects such as mosquitoes and ticks check yourself once you get home3. Some parts of the trail smell bad due to the smell of horse manure because their is a nearby stable. This barely effects the trail and is a tiny nuisance.4. No picnic tables and no open flames5. Bad for old people, people who can not walk considerably distances, and people who are lazy.6. No record breaking bassI would return again it was fun but I am definitely going to back bug spray next time.

Great place to run

Great running trails and views of the lake. Occasionally there is a down tree that is neglected for a little too long, but eventually the trails are cleared up. Very varying terrain, gravel: small & large, mud and packed dirt. Plenty of hills throughout the miles.

Amazing park. Great for a walk or a run. Beautiful scenery and wildlife especially in the summer. The trail is not dangerous however, in some areas it gets muddy when it rains so be careful. Most people nornally use the main trail but there are some smaller trails that divert and eventually reconnects back later. There are multiple lakes and a stream that connects them which is great for photos. Overall this is a good park
