We went on Sunday 8/9. It was me, my 2 girls (6 & 3) And my mother. I have to say it was a very nice time. The water in the bay was very nice, not super clear but not dirty either. Not a lot of seaweed. My kids enjoyed their ocean swimming very much. Then we headed to the pool where they enjoyed more swimming. Pool was nice and comfortable temperature wise. The beach was not very crowded and I saw people respecting social distance rules. Everyone was pretty much keeping to themselves or their family group. It was better than I expected it. My first time there this year after covid. I would go back again.

Lovely, clean, and peaceful location for members of the town of Hempstead! If you dont like to deal with the crowds at Jones Beach or Robert Moses, then this is a great (and nearby) alternative! There are pools in addition to the beachfront, and because the beachfront is not directly on the Atlantic Ocean, the water is fairly calm (except for the occasional passing boat or jet-ski). There is a covered dining area, so you dont have to eat sand with your sandwich, and outdoor showers to clean off before getting into your car.

Really like this place. Daughter had a great time. It has a beach a pool and kiddie splash pad which was great. $5.50 per adult from Nassau county a little extra for the baby. Plenty parking very crowded on weekends of course but still a nice time even during Covid

I have a 3 y/o and its so convenient for us to have a good time and not having to worry about the walk in the heat with all the stuff I usually have to bring for her an myself and they have a kiddy pool and regular pool it really is a great place to teach them how to swim .

Nice local spot with beach access and pool access right next to eachother. concession stand. only issue is some employees charge for my 5 yr old daughter 2.75 and some dont. like its either one price or the other please. otherwise its a nice very local fun day.

East Rockaway Pool is great! Clean, well maintained and not crowded for the weekends! I recently took my son to the baby side of the pool which is completely blocked off and gated so the little guys don’t run out! The sprinklers were fun for him! We will be returning.

Kayak launch point for Nassau County Blue Trail. Nice swimming pool during season. Friendly and helpful staff. A great neighborhood beach for town residents.

Not too fond of this park. Its always empty. Youre not allowed to bring your dog with you. I wouldnt recommend it. Everybody should try Bay Park.

The beach was dirty and too much sea weeds. Sea weeds were everything: in the water, on the sand. Therefore it accumulate decay and decompose. This situation create a lot of flies and bugs. The beach needs to be clean!Also opening time should be adjusted from 8 am till 7 pm every day during summer period.

During summer its favorite spot for local folks and people from around town. Kids and adults love the pool facilities for swimming and short strip of beach comes handy for sea surfing and other beach fun activities. My kids happen to love this place because it provides them with the opportunity to pursue three different fun activities such as pool frolicking, basketball playing and beach sunbathing.

Nice pools with lots of lifeguards. Nice beach to lay out. The only negatives are the dark, dirty bathrooms and the lack of benches in the pool area which can be an issue for the elderly or people who cant sit on the floor.

Love going there. Cozy and quiet less than 10 minutes from home. My children enjoyed taking summer swimming instruction there.

Love love love this park/ pool/ beach. Super clean and fun! Very family orientated environment. Beach is usually quite and serene. Life guards for the pool are always on point and alert. Clean showers and bathrooms. Sitting and eating area with large coverage from sun. Food stand is pretty much regular fried genetic food, nothing special. Great place to take the family for a fun day at the pool or beach.

Thought my kids and i would be able to enjoy a warm swim in the water.... you cant!!! Its muddy, dirty water is not meant for swimming. And even if you tried, the water doesnt go deeper than 3 feet or so and that area is roped off into just a tiny area. On top of all that, they charge you an arm and a leg just to enter the beach, if you even want to call it that. It does have a nice pool and park for the kids....i already am a member of an awesome pool club where i live with a much bigger park, and lots of other amenities so my visit to hewlett point park was a total waste of time and especially money. BUT if going home with huge welts obtained by getting bitten by their many mosquitoes is your thing, then this is the place for you!!

Recently visiited for first time..Friends live a block away- the park is really nice in Summer and its tucked away on map in Hempstead in East Rockway..and that is not Queens. Tough to park without a pass.

Dirty small beach, water is clear but sign says it may be contaminated by sewer. I guess it should pass as beach for NYC

Great pool. Perfect for ages 2-10. Very nice spray pool and great swim instructors. Life guards are very friendly and helpful. Ample parking and affordable rates.

It was a great beach and pool but I was concerned about the bugs, and they bite I got three bites! I started to bleed! you should do something about that babys go there thank you!!!! And the was not that much seed weed. and the cute guppies in the beginning of the water️️

Great community beach park but the large amount of seaweed in the bay makes it somewhat unpleasant to swim in. There is a large swimming pool and huge kiddie pool if the bay isnt for you. It also has a kids playground and tennis courts.

Great place to cool off for the family and inexpensive as well.

There is a nice pool (3 feet to 6 feet) which is handicap accessible via a large ramp. The lifeguards all have extensive training at dealing with multiple pools (and beach).There is a kids pool (0 inch to 18 inch) together with a bunch of sprinklers, fun for all ages.The beach is kind of sad when comparing to others in the area but its there as an option.Cost $5 per adult to enter, residents of nassau county only!
