They closed the park with the other parks for pandemic. Every other park opened now but this one. No any sign or anything about it, just says closed. I think they dont want to open it. please open this beautiful park and people can make their exercises and inhale some fresh air. I hope they will open it soon. :(

Well it was closed at the time due to the virus, I happen to be in town so I was able to sit in my car in the parking lot while on my lunch break, it was a nice sunny day and of course the park was empty which added to the beauty and stillness. This park I knew about as a kid growing up in East Orange but spent very little time in it because I lived in a completely different part of town, but as grew older I remember seeing summer basketball leagues there and they would play under the lights, it brought back fond memories of the 1970s. And for those who enjoy seeking history this is the child hood park of the late great music legend Whitney Houston, who Im sure spent many summer days just being a kid, while I was sitting there I wondering what part of the park did she spend most of her time in, it brought a smile to my face imagining her playing in this park. The tennis court is in excellent condition, of course theres a basketball court, well kept baseball diamond, an upgraded play area for the younger children, basically the park looks the same that it did 30 years ago.

Its a great park to work out in and get your cardio done. The steps they have there remind me of the rocky movie.

A beautiful park with several attractions from a kid park, a baseball field, soccer, basketball courts and even tennis courts.

Nice play to take your kids, a very cool setting

Three brand new tennis courts have just been commissioned along with a practice wall. The fields are well-manicured and the water fountain clear and tasty. Basketball courts playground yet still lots of foliage and a nice group of people frequent this Park. This is Park for Athletics or family time.

I love how its local and quiet. Its never over crowded and beautifully peaceful; so its enjoyable for little kids and adults.
