I have been taking acting and ballet classes from PK for about 4 years. I am an older adult and had never had experience in either modality prior to starting at the studio. PK has been a very caring instructor and I have experienced tremendous growth both physically and personally since starting classes. She has an incredible knowledge base of ballet with a focus on safety and development of skill, as well as artistic development. I highly recommend her as an instructor and would love to see more people in the community benefit from her expertise. The performances have all been amazing and create an atmosphere for development of the artistic expression of students..

Ms pk is wonderful! She is very attentive to the kids. My granddaughter just adores her. PK takes into consideration each childs limits but gets them to try harder.

My daughter has grown in her confidence and skill the past two years at The Studio. PK cares about each student and helps them hone their skills in a non-competitive and supportive environment. We feel the content of the plays and songs are totally appropriate for the age group. Pk even removed a line from one song that she felt a 12 year old did not need to be singing:-)

This dance studio is the greatest! PK, the owner, has been nothing but warm, nurturing and professional in her teachings with my teenaged daughter. They offer acting and voice lessons in addition to all types of dance. My daughter started ballet at age 13 and PK made sure she found the right class to suit her age and ability.

After training steadily at The Studio for a couple years, I have found it to be a nurturing and challenging environment, welcoming students from all walks of life. PK and her staff make sure to give each student engaging attention, pushing them past their comfort zone in a safe community, where its easy to explore and experiment new concepts. Ive found my training to get me to think critically about other fine art mediums and am incredibly grateful I came across this place. PK never promoted her studio as a Christian oriented center, nor has she ever been rude about her clients finances. In my experience, she makes sure to sit down with you and figure out financial plans, or ways to pay for classes. Its a rare training center that doesnt get the credit it deserves. Currently been bringing in friends and family too so they can also experience the fun and rigorous training!! 11/10 would recommend!

Love ms pk!!!! My grandchild has totally blossomed under PKs leadership. She is well on her way to being well round dancer. PK has been very understanding. About my granddaughters disabilitys & always emphasizes her strenths over her weakness. She has been very helpful in guiding us through the dance world. She always puts the best interest of the child first.

The Studio is an amazing place to dance and learn. The school focuses on developing ones skills as a performing artist, rather than competition or showing off. Students receive a solid and detail-oriented foundation of dance, and from there continue learning techniques up to a pre-professional level. PK the instructor is both an effective and friendly dance teacher. She treats her students with respect; her goal is to educate and motivate them towards improvement. Overall great place 5/5 would dance again

If I could give this studio zero stars to reflect my utter disappointment in it, I would. One of my children was involved in the musical theater class. At a recent recital, we were invited to a friends and family night. While the childrens scenes and songs were cute and entertaining, the director of the studio somehow thought scenes about sperm banks, disgruntled married couples discussing how they hooked up among others were appropriate for my SEVEN year old to watch. These scenes were performed by the adult acting group. Why they were a part of the a childrens show is beyond me. When my husband and I confronted PK about this, she was defensive and said that these are real life situations that are teaching moments for our children. The material was PG-13 at best. This was marketed as a family friendly show. None of my children are old enough to have such topics entertained as teachable moments. I do not care to explain what a sperm bank is to my seven year old. Good grief! And whats even more sad is that before signing my daughter up for classes at the studio, we asked what kind of content would be presented in the scenes and the shows. PK assured us that this was a Christian studio. Why then she felt it appropriate to have a scene in which one of the adult actors asked the question, What kind of stupid God would make it so that... is beyond my understanding as a Christian. My son (9) turned to me and said, I do not like these scenes at all. Why would someone say that? If you are looking for a wholesome, Christian studio for your family to be a part of, keep looking! It is not here!

PK van is a teacher that truly cares about the excellence of her students while refining their abilities in areas of artistic expression and technique. I have danced here for ~3 years now and have made more progress than I have anywhere else. Regardless of the level of the student, classes are very well tailored to challenge you without overwhelming you.

My daughter and I visited several studios in the area and were extremely impressed with the training PK gives her students; hands down, the BEST. She is a teacher who cares deeply for her craft and even more so for her students. Her experience, expertise and understanding of dance/ballet is absolutely top notch. If you are looking for a place for your child to have a wonderful experience as well as learn the best technique for dance, you MUST come to The Studio. Truly after only a few lessons, I couldnt believe all that my daughter took in and learned from PK (again, her technique is thee BEST).

The Studio provides a nice change from much lareger studios, with an emphasis on individual artistic development and a genuine, family feel. Very laid back and supportive, and the recitals dont last for hours on end, which is an unexpected bonus!

First: The Studio is hands-down A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. Second: In response to the Venemas posts, I 100% disagree. First: no other parent, audience member, participant, actor, performer, or volunteer at the Friends and Family Night shares in the Venemas views. Second: regarding the plays referenced (Expecting Isabell by Lisa Loomer and The Automata Pieta by Constance Congdon) the phrase sperm bank was said once. The play focused on the emotions surrounding infertility, unlike the Venemas singular focus on the phrases one-time use, which was used in a clinical aspect. Third: the one-time statement about a stupid God was from a life-sized Barbie, who was expressing frustration and fear regarding her new-found freedom. To this, I think The Venemas response is an example of Oscar Wildes quote: Its the spectator, not life, that mirrors art. What about Barbies emotional breakdown was unnerving? Do you have (or deny yourself) your own emotional breakdowns? As you can see, my point is that art is supposed to shake things up and show something in yourself that you do not accept...yet. I know how you feel - I have had the same experiences until I looked deeper and saw that it was ME that in some way I was rejecting! Its scary and not fun, but a good exercise and definitely leads to more growth. Best of luck!

After three years of the studio hurting my family financially and emotionally we realized it was a bad fit. I am now getting much more professional training.
