This is a great park. Great for walking. I go long boarding here. The path is paved. Great views along CT River. Ample parking. Trail goes all the way to Goodwin Academy.

There are nice walking paths along the river with benches, a boat ramp and piers, as well as a small amphitheatre.A very nice city park.

Its nice being by the river under the trees. It was clean and the picnic table was in great condition. The wood was smooth and not a splinter fest. People were pleasant and friendly. I really like this park.

Just discovered this gem this year. I enjoy running the trails on hot summer days. Usually always parking and tons spots to relax and enjoy the river.

Loved walking here early in the morning with my girlfriend. I just wish they had a board up that showed the trail map.we figured it out and walked over the bridge into Hartford and made a loop and came back. Would be fun once youre in Hartford to find a coffee shop and donuts before you walk back. ran into people working out with private trainers and what looks like an exercise class at the bottom of the stairs by the river. The Lincoln sculpture walk is very pretty. I will definitely come back and explore more.

This park is one of my favorite places to go for walks. Depending on which direction you go, you will come across lots of wonderful things. One side has a lot of plants and cool trails of varying difficulty, and the other side takes you farther along the river and to different art installations having to do with a former U.S. president. Its really quite lovely. The walk has plenty of benches but due to the fact that the park floods up to a certain level every year, not all of the benches are safe to sit on. Overall, its a nice easy walk in either direction that can get you some great photos and wont be too difficult if you have a mild disability or are in a wheelchair. Its also quite romantic at sunset, and a known spot for families and lone people that love the view from their car.

It was my first time coming to this side of that park, but OMG. it was amazing. it was really clean and just fun over all, a 2mile walk didnt even feel like it definitely coming again ️

Had a great experience bringing my parents and 3 year old son to watch an amazing fireworks show. Lots of open space as well as private areas. Trees for climbing and sand by the water. Wish there were a building for public restrooms though.

Nice river side walk ways. When it rains the walkways can unexpectedly be flooded for a day or so. But otherwise nice and accessible from Hartford and East Hartford.

Good place to run

Great River Park is a great place to take either a run or a walk in either Hartford proper or East Hartford. Walker/runners can access The Riverwalk foot bridge and cross the Connecticut River. The whole park is scenic and theres other folks around during midday, which makes it a very safe place to exercise.

Great place to walk by the Connecticut River or sit down on a bench and enjoy it. It has walking trails in case you choose to exercise or simply walk your dog. There is a boat dock in case you want to sail your boat on the river. You can cross the bridge in the end of the park and you are in Downtown Hartford within minutes. Great place for families.

It is a beautiful place for Hartford downtown workers to take a walking break or to have a walking meeting. Its also perfect for family weekend relaxing/walking together.

Clean and nice park

The only problem with this park is the stench from the trash to energy plant across the river, Its a shame that the d.e.p. does nothing about it.I am hoping it closes soon! I have complained for twenty years plus to no avail, this facility has ruined Hartford, East Hartford, Wethersfield, and anywhere else you can smell the rotting garbage!

Pretty nice! I wish the footpaths closer to the riverside were more well-lit for nightly strolls cause it tends to get eerie once the sun goes down. But hey, its a park by a river so eerie is basically a requirement.

I love going to this park on a walk or a run theres a lot of shade as well, so if you have pups its great. During these summertIme months the hours are 5:15am to 8:30pm for parking near the water. The Rangers are always friendly and are always willing to help if you have questions or if you get lost. This place also happens to be the venue for many events, if Im not usually there to do parkour I am usually there to support the CT National Guard events or for the occasional food trucks. Theres always a good reason to come here.

The desk monitor at the entrance is very sweet, welcoming, and helpful. Nice, clean, safe place to live from what Ive seen. I have a client who lives there.

Lots of small branches on walk way. Would like to see some call boxes for added safety.

Very good clean I just thought I just wish that it had a place that we can go in the water you cant get in the water you bring your Bose your paddle boats and what else your canoes thats about it the place at your picnic as well oh yeah I forgot there is no swimming as well

Where most folks walk over the Founders bridge for a gnosh at lunch, I just swim up to the promenade, and stroll on over to the Lunch wagon!!

I use this spot regularly as a great 3 mile workout! Usually lots to look at and some pretty good elevation changes.

They have a good wine and beer selection, a happy hour menu, and a build your own burger night.

For those who work in Hartford, this is a great place to walk at lunch or for a walking 1:1 meeting

Clean and quiet

Went to the Riverfront for the 2019 Fireworks. There was overflow FREE parking in Riverside Park and the fireworks were GREAT!
