Ya know. Its a beach. On that motha fin hamptons. East to be exact. Whats there to complain about. I grew up in Baltimore City. People might get annoyed with parking. But get dropped off or walk. Ya heard?
Gorgeous easily accessible beach. Unfortunately you need a permit to park here for a long time, but the beach itself is clean, the sand is very fine, and the waves are huge.
We went there for a nice mid-september outing and it was amazingVery few people, mostly families, everyone super distant from each otherSand is clean and even if it was a little windy, it was warm enough for a few hours of sun!
Great beach with bathroom facilities Visitors cannot use the parking lot During the week there was plenty of parking on the street about 3/4 mile from the beach So we would drop off all the kids and then park and my husband would bike back to the beach
Take the trip atleast once, but the issue with parking is horrendous. We parked 30 minutes away at a local YMCA and took a $15 Uber ride both ways. However, the experience on this super clean beach was amazing. The evening ended with a cozy bonfire. Cheers All!
The beach is beautiful. Too bad I lost my wedding ring playing in the rough waves :( (in August) Let me know if you found one.
Main Beach is much superior from other beaches in the Hamptons. The beach staff work hard every day to make sure the beach is in peak condition. There a mostly Green flags sometimes yellow. The beach has free showers however you can buy a locker but that can take time. The chowder bowl is on top of the deck and serves a variety of foods such as lobster roll, burgers and of course they’re delicious desserts. I have been coming there since I was three and to this day it’s still the most amazing beach.
The staff was dismissive/rude and half ignored me when I was seeking help. I’ve heard of people like me having experiences like this, but never really paid it any mind. This essentially broke my heart, since I’ve been coming to East Hampton since I was a girl, particularly this beach. I’m sad to have to be changing beaches with so many memories here, but this type of exclusion makes it impossible for me to ever be comfortable here again.
Great beach. The only issue is parking. You have to either have a parking membership, or park 2 miles away.
Great public beach, clean restrooms and some food options. We had plenty of room to relax and it was a great atmosphere. If you want food, make sure you have CASH. We got there later in the day so the parking lot was closed, but were able to park at the Lumber Lane lot in the village and take a free Circuit ride to the beach. Ended up taking a car back to our car since the Circuit line was a bit long at the end of the day.
Very amazing and great scenery and very clean surrounding but limited facilities.
Very nice and clean beach. A bit too crowded with the COVID-19 situation but a very nice beach.
Its great. Like really great.
The beach itself is beautiful. But the problem is parking. It is by permit only and as for right now (June 2020) they don’t sell any permits but still give out fines. Ridiculous.
Being in a beach in winter feels heavenly.. specially this one is mind blowing!!! I know it sounds weird but trust me everyone should see a beach in winter season!!
The place is awesome.
Great beach. Really a relaxing place.
I love the easy access and the fact that theres seating. I have awesome memories of lunches eaten during the school year and this being the second place I would go, after home, when I got back to town. ️️️
Beautiful. Must be a resident to park in beach lot.
Very awesome beach view and scenery but some area of the beach have trashes scattered everywhere.,
Majestic especially on the offseason when its just you and your loved one...no crowds...just The magic of the ocean and the sand between your toes
Quiet beach with a nice kiosk to grab chips and soda. Parking was $30 for the entire day if you do not have a prepaid beach badge on your car. Wonderful walk down the coast to Georgica Beach. Photo depicts a “busy” Saturday afternoon.
Very nice place to click pictures if the weather is clear.
Great beach. Parking available however you need a town permit. At this time of the year this beach fills up pretty quickly.
We enjoyed a quick visit to East Hampton Main Beach on our drive to the Montauk Lighthouse. It was a beautiful site and so relaxing.
Gorgeous and pristine. Not crowded, and the walk there was very scenic. And the real estate is to die for!!!! just beautiful.
I got the best tan of my life here... the snack is good as well. They gave me free cups of ice all day lol.
Waves were great and water not too cold. The beach was not crowded, even during weekend ($30 for parking may contribute to this). The sand was soft and luke warm. Concessions very pricey (regular cheese burger $13 -McDonald’s quality nothing special). This beach was worth the nearly 2 hour drive on the crowded Montauk Highway from Port Jefferson.
Beautiful beach. Close to town. There is a restaurant. A decent amount of (payed) parking. Lots of lifeguards.
Very beautiful place. Some folks seemed bothered by minorities in the area. And Some folks are okay. Its an expensive town. Awesome town to visit though. U can feel and observe certain discomfort, and the tone of their voice are not sure what to do or say. However, they are not denying any services. In fact, I am being myself and I speak to them. Include others and have fun talking for a bit to give them a glimpse of me and my sense of character. A different, nice and a professional man. The other percentage of the population are supportive and progressives.
Nice place very clean the beach i will return next year. :)
Just few words We love the Beautiful Beach ️️️️
One of the best beaches in the world.
Absolutely beautiful!
Love this place always. Very relaxing to set you free from the city.
Very beautiful beach
I love to go there in the summer
Cool place to be even if u just want to go for a run
The East Hampton Main Beach is truly a wonderful and safe beach to be in. The beach is beautiful on its own, the waves are fantastic if you like to hitch a ride on the waves that are approximately about 4 feet high on average (to those who wish to know). The sand is rock-free so it makes it easy to be able to sit down and enjoy the sun and the hot breeze. And nevertheless, the people there are kind as well! So if you ever come to visit East Hampton during the summertime, you should take a day to enjoy the Atlantic Ocean.
Great beach! Very clean! Sand is perfect and much different compare to jersey shore. Lots of places around to eat.
Beautiful. Usually quiet. End of summer parties tonight. Laughing young people. Stars, rhythm of the waves, cool breeze. Tang of salt in the air. Come and see, hear, scent and even taste the ancient beauties.
Beautiful surroundings , vibrant and happening....great vibes
Beautiful, awesome views of sky and ocean.
Immaculate beach!
I enjoy the wonderful peaceful view of the sea at East Hampton l really spend a lovely time.
Beautiful
Good very good
Awsome beach, soft sand and above all not crowded or surrounded by any noise from other people like some beaches. Parking is $30 if you are not resident. Available bathrooms till 5 pm. Great visit.
Had a sprain ankle that day so i could not get to enjoy the waters. The sand is what I have never seen before it was amusing very hard and big so grainy. The waters are too rough tho. No lifeguard there at a certain time which is very risky. Sad.
Beautiful & a great beach! With a great bar & restaurant/country club. Unfortunately the sun refused to shine on the day of my visit, however there is always next time!!
Time well spent, great views
I love coming here theres great parking the sand is so soft and the waves are so amazing. The beach is clean I love coming here.
Very nice beach with bathrooms and a grill for some food. Parking is $30 and it fills up fast, most of the spots in the lot are reserved for people with permits. Get there early on a nice day if you want to park here.If you drive out on main street there are some side roads with free street parking, just be ready for a 20 minute walk to the beach.
Loved it here. The sand was clean and white and it was a gorgeous day. To be clear, we went during off season (after Labor day) so parking was free and it wasnt crowded. Not sure if it will be the same story during the regular season.
Its a really nice beach
Not as crowded as Sandy Hook NJ and just loved how endlessly the sound of the wave + the wave itself was all fun.. they have some lifeguards, the parking is $30 per day
Nice, lots of people, but parking was easy.
Beautiful beach in the hamps!
Amazing Amazing beach must do again
Nice clean beach.
Beautifully clean with a food spot on the beach
Awesome beach to relax and enjoy the waves crashing, people watching and long stretches for great beach walking
Nice beach with facilities restroom and restaurant. Permits are required to park from May 15th to September 15th. The beach has lifeguards on duty during the summer season during peak beach hours.
Nice beach but too expensive. It is the Hamptons but still too much for a day visit
Great public facilities, soft white sand, and plenty of space to roam with the waves...as a California Coast child this is what a quality municipal beach is meant to be. If driving there in the summer, try to come much later in the evening when the collection booth may not be manned, otherwise expect $25 parking fees on weekdays and strict permit restrictions on weekends (registry required at Village Hall).
Plenty of parking. Beautiful, well-kept beach. Nice tables to sit and eat meals from the snack bar. Outdoor shower.
Great beach. Well protected with Lifeguards. Water is beautiful and refreshing. ( Although Parking is costly!)
Neat, clean and have all the facility. Best for families. Negative is no food area except snack bar
One of the best beaches in the world with its charm and location. The best time to go is after Labor Day when the crowd is gone and you have the ability to park over looking the ocean.
Beautiful Beach with Excellent Views
Excelente very good
Life guard not on the beach for the Memorial Day weekend on 5/22, However did see them putting up signs. Saw a few people relaxing on the windy white beach.Actually found some shells.Bathroom facilities NOT open! very cruel!!Its a far walk from the train station but people will give you a ride. There is a shuttle bus- free that opens in June.Waves look inviting.
Beautiful clean beach
Always a beautiful place to visit
NICE PLACE .. NEAT AND CLEAN.AND VERY FINE SERVICE.
The best beach!
Gorgeous soft sand beach
Amazing public beach. Dont pay $30 to park park in the long term lot by the YMCA and take the gold cart shuffle to the beach
The beach is nice and clean, the only problem is the quality of the food available on beach and the prices. 2nd most important thing, if you wanna go there, do take cash with you. They do not accept cards.
I guess because of the time frame I was there it was nice and quiet
Beautiful beach! Didnt go the restaurant but like the beach overall.
I loved it
Lovely beach, good facilities and food and service have improved this year
