Goddard Memorial Park is a huge park with plenty of options for the family. In addition to a riding stable and a golf course there a large number of picnic areas that you can reserve. It is a fantastic park if you want to take long walks in open fields and forested areas. Also a great place to bring a dog to walk. There is also a boat launch and a beach.

Between the picturesque views, beach, paths, and trails.... this place has it all. Love it here...

Beautiful trails along the harbour and bay. Parking and bathrooms during the summer months. Paved. Protected. Shaded.

Nice beach, warm water. Bathroom not clean but at least is a place to change. No shower. Plenty of free parking.

Great place to enjoy a nice walk, sit by the water, take a bike ride, etc. Seems to be a popular spot for people with their dogs or groups of cyclists. Wasnt overcrowded when I went on a Thursday afternoon. Would definitely come back.

Great place to walk my 14 year old yellow lab. We walk out to Sallys Rock. At mid to low tide, it is a really nice beach walk back to the car, and a nice swim for Butter, my lab. Week days are better, with fewer people.

Low tide shore safe for swimming for adults and kids too. Refreshing greenery in the park. Not recommended if someone loves sunset and sunrise view.

We hiked in a mile or two and went to the shoreline, avoided the beach (it looked fine, we didnt want to bring the dog on the beach). Pretty easy hike. Saw a few horses. Enjoyed.

Overall its a good experience and well maintained. I thought the golf fees went up to compensate for free admission of the park. The fairways are burnt, they shut the drinking water due to covid, removed trash cans, ball washers are dry and rakes removed from traps. The pro shop has no pull carts and offer nothing in way of drinks or snacks.The senior prices are good but for myself I can go private sector courses for same cost.

I had a great ride with my granddaughter. The weather was beautiful, the horses were gentle . We have gone a couple of times , .

Lovely Park and Beach, there is a beautiful hicking trail and a beautiful beach.Peaceful and gourgeous place, ideal for a weekend getaway if one lives close by and not to miss if one is visiting Rhode Island.

Water access with lifeguards, plenty of trails for walking, and everything is well maintained and clean. Bathrooms always a bonus for families. Worth the trip. (picnic areas available... know nothing about the golf)

Such a great park! Huge outdoor spaces, beach access, mature trees. Even in the rain it was a gorgeous retreat.

I moved states and this place was right up the road. So I thought I would check it out. The park is usually not too busy on weekdays. You will see quite a few people doing their thing. Golf, running, walking, taking pictures and riding horses, on the weekends the sky is the limit, within park rules anyway, is well maintained. The weekends are the best, the families are so happy and friendly.

Goddard State Park - where to start?So much to offer... A public park with plenty of flat terrain, making it accessible for folks in wheelchairs. Wanna picnic or party? Plenty of picnic tables and simple charcoal barbecue grills for use, old trees to provide ample shade, and spaces can be reserved in advance, making this an ideal venue for any celebration that may require a bounce house.Other highlights include a boat ramp, sandy shoreline facing the Bay, a covered carousel, and horseback riding.

Great place to hike, i saw some horse back riding available. It has exit to the water, very beautiful views. We went close to closing time, but there is definitely so much more to explore.

Love this place. Been going for two decades with my dog and family. Horsetrail is great place to walk your pup. The winter time when few people are there -- ideal.

My favorite park and beach! There are trails for walks, bikes, horses. Nice stretch of beach, and amazing scenery. Great boardwalk with park benches and gazebos for watching the sunset. Restrooms are conveniently close by, clean, and the facilities are open until sunset. Swimming is permitted in a select location near the lifeguard stands. Many picnic tables are available throughout the park. When in season, the farmers market is a neat place to stop and shop near the first of two park entrances.

Always a great place. Beautiful landscape in lots of different areas to visit and take in nature. We are fortunate to have access to such a great open space and free. Your trash is carry out. So please be responsible and dont litter. Great spot to watch the sunset. They have open fields, picnic spaces, walking path, and a small beach. Restrooms are available during park operating hours.

It was a nice drive through the park. the park was pretty empty compared to what it used to be. Many unrented fields.

Goddard Park is a wonderful and relaxing place to go walk my dogs and work on some training. My husband had also gotten some amazing photos of them as well with the beautiful scenery!

Iwalked into the woods About a 100 by the shore and came across this beautiful tree this is a beautiful shot photo However my one star is me strictly judging on the beach area in front of the parking lot I was not impressed it looked like murky Sad water hardly the oceanI went to the bathhouse there is 2 toilets in the womans bath house from what I could see. My visit was in May during the off season I cant imagine going here during the summerMaybe Im spoiled coming from the North Shore and Massachusetts but Ive seen way better state parks I will not be visiting this place again.

The beauty of this park is hard to describe. From the rough wooded areas full of trails to the well kept open fields for picnicking and family sports and a coast line that goes from maintained beaches and boat docks to rocky challenging walks. This place offers something for everyone. Including horseback riding and golf.. Ive been going here my whole life.. Love it..

We rented some sites in the 100s to shoot a music video and have a cookout. Was very impressed by the grounds and the way they were kept. Plenty of picnic tables around and very old trees for some awesome shade. There was a small charcoal bar-b-q pit but we brought our own grill. I didnt see any litter around and the bathrooms were nice and clean. Just a great overall experience and value for the money.

From out of town passing through. This place is dope!! Countless shady spots to drive your car up on the grass at picnic areas. Big enough for seclusion or to be surrounded by people. Beautiful and free! Can’t beat it!!

I have twins that would be 3 years old in October, this was an awesome Family friendly atmosphere. What it was clean, and everybody was polite. I didnt have a problem finding a private picnic table for my family to enjoy eating lunch either. So over all five stars.

Great spot to stretch your legs and run around with the kids on the vast fields or fly a kite. You can use a fire pit to cook up some burgers if you can find one with a grate. There are some bathrooms, a little stable with horses, a beach, and a golf course. Also worth a mention is on Fridays there is a farmers market.

Great walking trails..they are legally horse trails so follow the (State) rules curb your dog and let the horses pass.

The park is nice for family picnics, plenty of tables and grilling areas. Also large fields for games. Rest rooms are clean and available. The only downside is too much traffic, and while most people drive safely, there are always a few that think they have the right of way no matter what. Or are in a hurry to get nowhere, the ones that you see go round and round.

Pretty cool place.Tons of space to do activities. You can rent a spot for barbecuing/grilling if you want to grill. Theres a small beach here too.Near the beach is a small restaurant that sells some food like clam cakes and hotdogs.Goddard Park is also a great spot for walking and running!

This park has everything, it surprised me! Gulf courses, boat landings, a beach, and lots of places to have events for birthday parties and events. Its also a huge place, so lots of walking and biking for exploration not too far from Providence. A nice getaway for many reasons, like a picnic or just being by yourself, if your in the area, check it out!

Nicely maintained with plenty of picnic tables and fire pits. We go there to walk our dogs. The staff patrol and enforce the rules very well. One rule is dogs must be on leash at all times. That is a huge reason why we go to this park.Almost all other parks we know of never enforce the rules. So dogs run around some completely unattended and feces is a common sight. Most people are indignant when asked to leash their dog...typically the commonly ignorant reaction.So we are very pleased that if we tell staff at this park someone is not using a leash they actually go looking for the person right away.

Beautiful place to sit and talk with someone. Nice at night because it just looks gorgeous. I could sit there for hours with a person just talking about anything. Quiet at night which is perfect for someone like me who takes in their surroundings.If you go on a date, its a nice place to park and walk around at.
