Nice place for a venue on the smaller side. Staff were very helpful and courteous in every interaction I had with them. The sound was great - each instrument distinct, volume at the right level. Seats were comfortable, drinks were reasonably priced, and every seat had a great view of the stage.

This place is the best. They are bringing great acts to a great little Main Street. Bar has a great selection of local beers, and theres not a lousy seat in the house!

Great local music venue. Originally a movie theater, it has been transformed into a nice size venue for both local and national acts. Every seat is a good seat. Renovations continue and the venue keeps improving. In general the sound is average. Im sure it will be upgraded at some point. It may also be the result of who is doing sound on any given night. All in all, a local gem!

I drove down from Boston to see a 8pm Friday night show and everything was picture perfect. The venue was really nice, with comfortable seats with plenty of legroom, a good sound system (that easily handled loud music), very friendly staff, and I could go on and on. I should mention that my five year old grandson was with me, and he was as comfortable as could be as well. The concert went 30 minutes beyond its contracted finish time (or so I was told) but the staff went with the flow. In addition to a very nice venue, the neighborhood was picture perfect as well. It was very picturesque and lively with a nice assortment of restaurants, shops, clubs, ice cream, etc. And it was a short walk down to the boatyard area along the bay. All in all, a great experience.

The East Greenwich Odeum is a local venue to see movies, concerts, and other shows. With just over 400 seats there is no bad seat in the house. Prices are very reasonable and they have a limited bar which serves beer, wine, selected liquor, and all the usual non-alcoholic beverages. I’ve seen three shows at the Odeum this year and all were great.

I like everything about this venue besides the small seats. Being a tall person, its not the most comfortable but manageable depending where your sitting. Sound was great quality, visuals/stage construction was professional and the staff was welcoming. Would see another show/perform here.

What a gem in the heart of historic downtown East Greenwich. This beautiful theater has been updated with comfy seats and a great sound system, but still retains some of its historic charm. Inexpensive, strong drinks, too! I have seen many shows here, definitely check it out. Not a bad seat in the house!

Was very excited to see a concert in this intimate setting, but extremely disappointed. The sound was horrendous, all you could hear was the electric guitar, vocals were too low (even when she was just talking and after someone in the audience said something), and couldnt hear the bass at all. I think only an acoustic show would be good here.

A disappointing night. BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ (and Im not talking about good BUZZ)For our 15th Wedding Anniversary, my wife and I purchased tickets to see Bill Frisell at the Odeum. We were so excited because we are big fans of Frisell and the Odeum is our hometown venue...just a few doors down from our favorite restaurant. So we planned a big date for the night of the show: dinner out, a cocktail, Bill Frisell. This would be the first time we went out together since our twins were born 10 months earlier, so we were ready to see some live music and taste freedom if only for a few hours. The night of the show, our two baby sitters came over (a ratio of one adult to one baby is a good plan with twins baby sitting), my wife and I got all gussied up, and we hit the town! After some absolutely dynamite Indian food, we walked down to the Odeum and took our front row seats (we decided to splurge and buy the best seats for our anniversary/freedom night!).Now, since the Odeum is my hometown venue, Ive been before and Ive never loved the sound there. For one band I saw, the sound was piercingly loud, for a film, the sound almost inaudible. So, I did have my reservations about how it would sound, but I thought, how could they possibly mess up the sound for one amp?? Well I learned how as soon as the first string was plucked. BUZZMr. Frisell was actually using two amps rather than one, and the Princeton Reverbs he was playing through have more than enough power to fill the Odeum. But, not surprisingly, they decided to mic the amps and run it through the PA. This is very normal as this allows the musician to keep the amps running quieter enabling the player to hear better on stage. But unfortunately for absolutely everyone, the stack of speakers stage left had a terrific buzz every time Frisell played through the mid range pitches on his guitar. The buzz sounded like a loose pin or nut/bolt that was holding the rack of speakers together. The buzz was very loud and rattled away through almost the entire performance. It was borderline unlistenable. It took all of my concentration to focus on the music. If you know Frisells music and BUZZ playing style, you know that he generally BUZZ plays squeaky clean BUZZ through his amp, focuses BUZZ on nuance and harmony, and creates BUZZ everything from BUZZ ethereal Americana BUZZ BUZZ to spidery-dark cave jazz to evoke a wide range of BUZZ the human experience. BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ Oh, Im sorry, were you trying to hear my review of Bill Frisells amazing BUZZ musicianship? Theres no nuance in BUZZ, so the entire performance was horribly marred.Mr. Frisell took one short break prior to an encore during which I left my seat to speak with someone about the sound. The person with whom I spoke told me that they were aware of the buzz (who wasnt??) but that there was nothing to be done. They said they were sure it wasnt their PA and after I suggested they bypass the PA and turn up the amps Frisell was using, was assured that that too would cause the buzz. This person was completely wrong. The buzzing was certainly coming from the PA and bypassing the PA would have ended that buzzing!A friend of mine, also in the audience, happens to know the normal sound person there and got in touch with that person as soon as the show started. Turns out, the main sound person was on another job that night, as was the back up sound person, but both knew about the buzzing coming from the speaker stack. It was found during another performance by a different band earlier in the season. I also came to find out that apparently Mr. Frisell pointed out the buzz at sound check but nothing came of it.So there you have it. The Greenwich Odeum donkied another show. Anyone surprised? Id take a refund if theyd give me one, but Im not sure Id take free tickets to another show...who wants more BUZZ?

Great space. Robin Kall had an excellent event there (Reading with Robin) and they have fabulous musicians from throughout the US. Recently Ive seen signs for Eddie from Ohio, Shelby Lynne & Allison Moorer, Al Stewart, and I remember seeing a sign for Dan Zanes a few years back. Parking is usually within a few blocks and there are great restaurants with reasonable prices around there as well. My only complaint was that the line outside was long on a cold night. I think they could have made it more efficient.
