Unfortunately this is one of the spirit airlines of AMC theater. Even though this is a dine in cinema, the seat for IMAX are so uncomfortable and small. There is no table for you to out your food. Unfortunately they stop refilling popcorn just before the last movie start. Do not buy Large popcorn if you watch the movie. The place also quite messy and dirty. Fortunately the staff are friendly thats the only good things.

Beautiful new remodeled theater that is being trashed. Manager stated everyone too busy to clean it up- meanwhile the employees can be found scrolling on their phones instead of picking up trash, refilling soap and other items in the bathrooms, and vacuuming the incredible large amounts of popcorn that is literally on every piece of carpet. This is the most unclean and unsanitary public place I have ever experienced.

Movie theater is very nice!!! great leather reclining seats , awesome sound quality, even food service to your seats!!! Very nice upgraded theater!! The three stars are for the service lines, if you are not a vip member your wait in the lines are ridiculous!!! I waited almost 25 minutes just to place an order for food. Everyone in line, very upset, they fix that issue they are easy 5 star! Management should see that there are long line and open new registers, some people left the line because it just wasnt moving. People leave , you are losing money .....

Don’t go to this place! Save your money and nerves! Theater renovated recently, but they have real problems with managing the place.Filthy and trashy all over halls, popcorn everywhere. We love to go to AMC dine-in in Holly Springs, because we always getting full service and great food. But this one has no waiters inside the movie hall, you have to spend half of the movie time in a line to order your meal, which BTW costs arm and leg. And wait time is enormous. You will get your meal at the end of movie.And despite the price of the price of high end restaurant, meal is in the quality below zero. You get totally gross junk food.Just go to good restaurant or order meal home, you will save a lot and will get much more for your money

They have recently renovated so that the seats are the kind that recline. That is quite nice. I gave them three stars because of the cleanliness issue. They need to have cleaning crews come through the restrooms during the day and reset. They also need more staff to clean up the trash from the theaters more thoroughly. But overall its a good experience. I go there often.

We liked this theater. The food is quite good but REALLLLY expensive: nachos, chicken tenders, popcorn and 3 drinks came to $60. WHAT??? We go the movies A LOT and have never come close to that kind of bill . I did enjoy the heated seats since we went to a weekday matinee and there was no discernible heat running, which I kind of get and is not different from any other theater. Free soda refills at the Coke Freestyle machines make the food prices somewhat more palatable. Only other complaint was that there was not one single speck of light on when we entered the theater, couldnt see our hands in front of faces. Had to go ask for some lighting -- honestly think these theaters are getting to be too big to manage and there just arent enough employees to manage stuff like that.

Not really sure if this theatre has a manger who is present minded enough to operate a business. We just left our movie and the theatre was filthy. The floors were covered in trash and toilet paper. The concessions had 2/6 registers operating causing tremendous backup. The display counters were empty and full of loose popcorn. There was no ice in the soda machines but there was a giant pile of ice on the floor. The ticket window had 1 operator causing tremendous backup outside. Theatre 11 C1 recliner does not work which made for an uncomfortable viewing experience. Really disappointed in our experience. We will not be back. Regal will have my business from now on. What a shame.

Good ambience, comfortable seating and decent movie watching experience.However we were booked for the 10:30 p.m. show on Feb 15 2020, (last show of the day for Auditorium 6) and the auditorium remained dirty with leftover trays and cups from the previous show. It seems that staff did not bother cleaning the auditorium from the previous show since there were only a few patrons attending this last show in Audi # 6. There was no apparent discomfort but it felt that the staff did not care about the unsightly presentation of the auditorium and poor hygiene because it affected just 10 people, nevermind that they were paying patrons of the business establishment.Interesting to note that they did proper cleaning out for another auditoriums late show (Auditorium #5 if I recall correctly, which started only 15 minutes before, at 10:15 p.m.). I figure this maybe because there was a larger footfall for that show. Removing two stars for this.Except for this, there were no complaints.

Dolby Cinema is really nice, and the theater renovation looks nice but is totally dysfunctional. There are never enough concession staff, and they have apparently abandoned ever cooking hot dogs again. Coming here is always a general disappointment but we do like Dolby Cinema for many movies.They just announced no more kitchen orders for the next 45 minutes...What a joke...17 minutes in the concession line so far to order from 1 of the 2 people working....Regal is so much better..

While the movie experience itself is fine (thats a question about IMAX or Dolby Cinema), the movie GOING experience is a different story. The entire theater was trashed, covered in popcorn and empty food containers five minutes before the showing of our movie. Three separate people, myself included, had to go request someone come clean, but it never happened. Many of the other moviegoers and myself started having to take the empty plates and silverware (yuck!) just so we could sit in the seats we paid for!Management really needs to get this figured out.

My first time visiting since they renovated and added reserved seating. Heated seats! Separate controls for reclining and for the footrest. A very good theater experience. (Alamo Drafthouse is my gold standard, where the whole establishment and staff cater to movie enthusiasts. This wasnt that, but it was a good casual night out.)

Its what you come to expect from a theater, Im shocked it passes sanitation standards. I also dont care for the fact that they seem to lock the doors at 11 but theyll show 10:40 with half an hour ads. The actual theater is fine the renovations are nice but a little bit more respect from the server who had a conversation with someone who ordered food 45 minutes into the movie.

Theater Room #14 was completely dark without movie and dangerous for my elderly mother needing a walker. Required a borrowed flashlight to get to our seat. Alerted young female manager of this dangerous situation to no avail. Check in is spotty and not worth the additional charges associated with purchasing tickets on line in advance. The Durham AMC is cheaper and much better - except for the restroom.

Facility is upgraded and great! Gave 3 stars because both times Ive ordered food here with their new delivery system I didnt receive it and the kitchen made all kinds of excuses. Staff isnt great, and they never have enough people working registers. Managers should have a better grip on everything to make sure it is ran WAY better. Now only go for IMAX movies and never order things.

They did all these amazing upgrades, yet forgot customer service! Stood in line over 15 minutes to get a snack and decided to walk off with out it. Had I stayed in line it would have at least been another 10 minutes..25 minutes in line for popcorn! And still didnt get it! Do better!!!!!!

Comfortable seats. The staff was not all that friendly. Got a pretty passive aggressive attitude from the girl at the snack booth line. A staff member let his friends cut in line to go to the VIP snack line and there was garbage at my seats from the previous showing. The fact it was a good movie and comfortable seats is what saves this from a 1 star rating. I might go back and thats a big might. We all have off days.

First a big area of the parking lot is blocked off, so limited parking near theater. Next trailers lasted 45 minutes. My seat was broken. Then the wrong movie played. I payed for Dark Phoenix but Secret Life (childrens movie)played. So had to wait for the correct movie to play two hours later. No thank you!

I go to the movies with my brother every Tuesday, thats how we spend time together. Every Tuesday, they only have one person in the ticket booth and there is always a long line. I think only one time the line was short, and even with the line being short it took the lady in the ticket booth a long time to get to us. Now I understand they may be short handed but, a manager or someone could come and help. I love the upgrades with the heated seats, but they need some upgrades on the customer service. You cant have a newly renovated theater with the same old I dont care attitudes from the staff.

Valentines Day experience. Alcohol was good and bartender was friendly and attentive. Woman’s bathroom nasty. Handicap stall near theater 5 overflowed with water and dirty I noticed before our movie. After movie bathroom nastier than before. Food was mediocre not good not terrible. Mozarella sticks break instead of stretch. Hamburger flavorless. Workers seemed slow and simple instructions not carried out.

Love the changes they made to this theater, including the food and drink options. Plus who could miss the awesome Dolby theater. However, the theater is like taking a nose dive into q dumpster that hasnt been cleaned out in weeks. The Coke fountain location and floor around it is covered in sticky soda, the new theaters are overflowing with garbage that hasnt been collected and the carpets are still riddled with left over food and other garbage. AMC really needs to hire folks to help keep this place tidy.

We arrived to buy tickets at 12:55 for a 1:15 start. There was one person at the ticket counter with a long line. I ask the person checking tickets if we can order food at our seat and she said no to order at the counter and they would bring it to your seat. We then stand in a long line with two people at the counter taking orders to find out that they are not making food because they are way understaffed. We get into our movie at 1:35 after the movie started with no food and no lunch thinking that by advertising real food that the theatre would have it.Movie, seating and sound was great!!

After major renovations, current management has allowed this theatre to turn into a dump. I was just there and the floor of the lobby, corridors, restrooms, and theaters was literally covered in debris. The men’s room looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks. The concession area looked like it would fail a health department inspection. One of the managers was having a shouting match with a customer over undelivered food and the security officer was taking the customer’s side. Unbelievable. The movie was great, though. AMC, you need to replace the management team in order to salvage your investment.

I had a pretty bad experience here. The concessions were the slowest I had ever seen. They had 6 people standing in the back but only 2 working concessions. They also had a fast pass lane thing for people with elite status or whatever it is, so I literally didnt move in the normal line as people kept coming through express and getting priority. I eventually just gave up. The bar was also extremely slow and got drink orders wrong more than once. Even in the middle of the movie both were too slow to bother going. While they did have leather seats the arm rests are only doubled on one side, so you are still cramped on the other. I personally enjoy regular theaters where you can actually get concessions or the truly premium ones where they will bring them to you. To me the was the worst of both worlds

Visited this location yesterday night. Wasnt packed at all. The 1 star is for the movie i watched. Customer service is terrible. When i arrived the guy scanning tickets didnt look at us, he was too busy talking on the phone. He just scanned out tickets and told us the theater number. Moved forward to order some pop corn and the guy taking orders, again, was too busy with his phone. I ordered my pop corn only to be told they were out of popcorn, i asked when it was going to be ready all he could say was he didnt know, that the manager was supposed to be there, but wasnt. I asked if he could take it to the theater, he said yes. 20 minutes waiting for popcorn, i had to go to the counter and leave the movie only to find all the doing nothing but grabbing the popcorn with their bare hands and eating it. Thats disgusting.

The movie and accommodations were awesome, however the dinner left a great deal to be desired. I received my meal (chicken tenders and fries) with no cutlery, and there were little to no condiments. For the price of the meal, it should have been prepared better.

I’ve been a stubs customer for many years but after today’s experience, I’m done.The theaters empty and I order pretzels and water and I’m told we’ll deliver it to your seat. 20 minutes later no food, go back and see what’s happened and I’m told it’s going to be delivered to my seat, but the orders not even been started.I Thiel ask for a credit and the managers called over to assist and he didn’t seem to care or apologize for my issue until I called him out on it and he says sorry we didn’t get your order to you fast enough.The theaters dead and it was over 20 minutes; AMC you’ve done better in the past!I’m destroying my stubs membership.You’ve lost me as a customer!

March 1st movie time at 4:20PM, in auditorium #1, J aisle was covered with wasted popcorn on the floor from the previous showing. It was absolutely deplorable and my family sat with our feet and chairs filled with popcorn debris.I did notice the cleaning crew came after our showing, hence I gave a 3 star versus a 2 star Google review rating.

The AMC theatre at Southpoint Mall is ok. After the remodel I thought it would be better, but its alright nothing special. The bar never seems to be busy, nor do I ever see anyone drinking whenever I go to see a movie. They added a dine in feature with their remodel so you can now enjoy a meal while watching your movie and they deliver it to your seat. It all sounds great for aside the fact that almost every time I have gone and decided to actually order food from the menu they don’t have it lol. It’s been the same menu since you started the dine in but don’t have it? Doesn’t make sense to me, take it off the menu if you aren’t ever going to have it. Then the food takes forever to get there, the first time I tried to dine in I for real thought they forgot my food because it had been more than 30mins into the movie already. The food prices are also ridiculously high, as expected though as just popcorn and a drink is already 20+ dollars. I do like the new seats and new renovated auditoriums. The seats are comfortable and the new rooms have great sound. Sometimes though in some of the rooms I dont know if an attendant just forgets or that room doesnt allow it but the lights stay dimmed instead of being turned off as you can see in my photo this was half way through the movie and the lights were still dimmed.

I am an AMC premier member, they did a great job upgrading their theater but customer service is bad. And there is no way for management to help if cashiers mess up on obtaining reward points. Like all my points vanished from my account and no one could assist so I felt as if I was wasting $20 a month for the membership.

Heated recline seats? Yes please. Note: these arent the full recline seats for anyone looking for that - they kind of tilt on their axis. But its nice for couples that every 2 seats have an arm that lifts in case you want to cuddle.

Worst amc theatre I’ve ever been to. I will not be using AMC anymore. Regal is a little further away from me, but I definitely will be going to regal from now on. The seats and theatre are nice an the food is okay. The people are awful and they mess up your order, over charge you for tickets and they are extremely rude. Spoke with several managers who are even worse than the employees. The commercials take about 30 minutes which is longer than any other theatre I’ve ever been to. Sad that I have to switch, but I go to the movies a lot to experience this every time I come to the theatre. Really surprised, but if management doesn’t care then the employees want either.

Reclining seats are very comfortable and they are arranged in such a way that youre never blocked by the people in front of you. There is no bad seat in the place. The food is not anything to write home about, but adequate. The fact that they totally shut the lights off once the feature starts means you better order and consume any food before the trailers are done, or else you wont be able to see your food.

Having frequented this theater for years, it is sad to say they have taken two steps forward and five steps back. They have implemented their dine-in service very poorly. We arrived 45 minutes before showtime, had to wait in line 25 minutes to order, and then 20 to get a simple beer from the bar. Very simple food order arrived 30 minutes into the movie. I am not planning to come back when there are better options for dine in for much cheaper with better service.

This is my favorite theater in Durham. I really like the remodel. There are different choices for viewing a movie. I recently experienced the Dolby and it was great. They also do sensory friendly films. They have heated seats and a bar. I only gave four stars because the dine-in experience could be better. You can dine-in in all the theaters, but not all have the attached table. Food is brought to you after the movie starts and unlike the competition there is not space in some of the theaters for the server to go down the aisle to serve. The food is also overpriced in my opinion 13 to 15 dollars just for chicken fingers or burger and thats without a drink. Compared to the competition (Cinebistro) they could improve the dine-in experience.

The theater is conveniently located, with plenty of dining options in the surrounding area (If youre into Mexican, Uncle Julios is great!). As for the experience, its just okay. I may just be spoiled at this point, because most of the theaters Ive been to in the last couple of years have individual reclining seats, but my wife and I just couldnt get comfortable. The seats are assigned, which is good, but they feel like they are stuck in a half-reclined position. Other than that, things were as expected. On a positive note, the theater was clean and the staff was very friendly (seems like the theme in these parts). All in all, I wouldnt go out of my way to return, but would stop in if we had planned a trip to one of the restaurants nearby.

This theater makes me weep...tears...happy tears...because I remember decades of theater experiences when I worried about where I would sit and if the movie would function properly. I dont worry about that at this theater. I did leave off a star because during my last movie experience I had the joy of removing a chunk of melted cheese from my reserved seat. Try again AMC. Lights were left on during the horror movie we were watching. The updated menu is sorely lacking in general and the items we wanted listed on the menu were not even available. I really dont see this theater lasting much longer, even with the updates. The new bar is sad and overpriced. Overall the updates after the remodeling are lackluster and a lot of it looks the same or worse. The Coke machines were out of a lot of flavors and I swear one only had water listed. The only plus was the updated seating which leaned back, had foot rests, and did have heating, which was nice since it was really cold in the theater. I also appreciated the distance between the rows so you didnt feel crowded. Overall though, it feels like they could have done better. Dont waste your time here, just go to Silver Spot in Chapel Hill. Its much nicer.

Earlier I went to see Angel Has Fallen...great movie. Love the new renovations. My concern is with the staff. I went to purchase a drink during my movie and there was no staff at the concession area. One of the cooks greeted me and offered to upgrade my drink (for the price of a regular drink) when someone returned to the concession area. I had been waiting over 10 minutes. The manager Albert came over and I tell him that I would like to purchase a drink and the cook said I could upgrade for waiting nearly 15 minutes. Albert did not greet me and was very unapologetic, non-remorseful. He refused to upgrade for drink and came down on the cook for showing good customer service, which he did not do. There should be staff at the concession area at all times. I hope other customers dont encounter this type of poor customer service. We shouldnt miss out on a movie due to the lack of service from the staff.

Theater is undergoing major renovation. This is as of March, 2019. Service was pretty good. Staff was friendly and helpful. There was no image projecting on our screen for about 4 minutes of the previews. 2 patrons went to report the issue before it was resolved. Not sure what happened. Might be best to make sure projection rooms are staffed when a movie begins or have someone step inside each theater when the previews begin. Quality check, you know? Once the projecting image was available, we had no further issues. The movie was good. Sound worked great. Id visit again.

Generally movie theaters are hit or miss. This one is no different. Much of the staff are helpful but many times you run into some people that couldnt care less, most of the time I find that this is due to volume of people attending. Overall I would say its a good location to catch a movie and they have IMAX screenings do thats a plus

I really love the newly renovated seats! Maybe a little too much because I fell asleep during the movie. :P The picture was sharp and the sound was great I was just extremely put off by how filthy it was. Id go back to see a movie but probably wouldnt get any snacks or refreshments.

Sure takes a long time to buy a ticket. Then when I finally get to front of line someone who just walked up with priority membership gets to go in front of me. They seem to think I am supposed to know that. Then we had to wait again because people in front of us couldn’t get tickets on phone to scan. Nobody working there seems to care. Horrible experience. They don’t have enough people in concession We waited in line 30 to order. The staff were nice but overwhelmed. After an hour my meal was not delivered so I went to find it. We like the location as it is close to our home as well we like it is new and clean. Personnel at reception is very responsive and professional. Speaking about dine-in service...it is needs an improvement. Waiting time is too long, staff look pretty disoriented while in service which leaves an unpleasant impression.

Just went to see Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker on the IMAX....excellent! Sounds was earthshaking. Visuals were breathtaking but I did notice when there was a loud rumble you could see it was subtly shaking the projector. Not bad but I noticed it. Overall an awesome experience.

1. The young man who was checking tickets did not offer my two free ornaments that accompanied my tickets. I asked for them, he gave me one. Politely told him that I had two tickets and would like my other ornament also. Rolled his eyes, never said a word.2. Ordered a hot dog. One of the two young ladies laizing at the counter replied we aint got none with no apology and continued the chat with her coworker.3. The place is FILTHY, the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. Looked as if they hadnt been attended to for a few days.The rude, terrible attitudes matched the filthiness of the inside.

Seats in new theater very comfortable (earned the 2 stars). Dine-in is woefully designed and needs a reboot. I was told we would have to wait 40 minutes for food, and waited for an hour. When I went out of the movie (missing some of it) to inquire, was told (as an excuse) the cashiers were supposed to tell you it would be 45 minutes to an hour.. thats terrible customer service. Delivering food to patrons during movie is disruptive, food is hard to see, and quality wasnt great. Nobody would accept an hour at a restaurant, and they need to staff up correctly, or change model to take in instead of dine in.

So I bought 5 tickets to Jumanji tonight for my sons birthday..when we get there the cashier at the desk was cursing in front of my children about other staff members. Then we go into our theatre and it was a COMPLETE mess!! We had to clean our seats off to sit down. One lady even went and got someone to come clean her area because she was highly mad about it too. This theatre use to be so good but after the remodel I feel like it just went down hill. From now on I will be going to SILVERSPOT only!!

Good place to watch movies but the dine in is a joke. Thought they were going to have buttons to call in people to take our order and bring it to us like normal dine ins during the showing but apparently not. Ordered my wings and burger at the front and I didnt get anything 1 hour into the movie so I went to see if there was a mix up and found out my wings were ready and on a counter the whole time waiting to be taken while my burger was still being made. Basically I had to go get my own food right there and it was already cold. Definitely not a good place to dine in compare to places like Raleighwood

17 of us went here after Thanksgiving dinner. It wasnt packed at all. Actually there was probably 25 people in that particular movie. It was clean. Serves food. Clean bathroom. Have recliner chairs. Will go back. Went to 10a showing

They recently redid this theater and I was looking forward to going to it however despite the layout it is horrible. They understaff, even on a Friday night, and there are long lines just to get into the building with only 1 person scanning tickets. Then they only staff 4 people for food and beverages which makes for more horrible lines. We got there 20 min before movie and it took 15 just to get into building. I will not be going back until they figure out how to staff correctly.

Waited in line 45-minutes as one employee reported to work two lines (A-List & Non-members). When reached the window to purchase 7 tickets for the family, was informed next three showings of Queen & Slim had sold out. The Manager on duty neither attempted to put up a sign announcing movies that had sold out, nor did he open a register to assist his subordinate. It was raining, cold, and the line was very long. There were older patrons standing out in the cold whom werent allowed to enter the theaters lounge to warm up until their party purchased group tickets. It was an awful experience. Will try another location in the near future.

They serve milkshakes! Right to your seat. And Im talking big ones topped with whipped cream and a big cookie! Maybe Im easily impressed, but I call that a fancy freakin milkshake. Also, and I havent ordered this yet, apparently all the burgers come with a veggie burger option. Which is good news for me as I cant usually eat ground beef. The theaters themselves were clean (as were the bathrooms), nice new renovations, and most of them have heated seats. Couldnt give all five stars because the line at the consessions is usually a bit slow, the Dolby 360 sound theater was more annoying and loud than actually enhancing the movie, and they dont say on the website or ticket app which theaters do or dont have the heated seats. But those things may only bother me, so 4 stars. Be patient when in line and the good far outweighs the bad.

South Point has always been the premier Mall to go to in the Raleigh-Durham Cary area. And their theater has always been one of the best. Especially the IMAX theater. Now with South Point renovating the theaters it can only get better. One of the things that I am glad to see that they have incorporated into their theater is a reserve seating. Takes the feeling of always feeling rushed that you have to get to the theater as fast as possible to make sure you get good seating. Now you know That once you reserved your seat its your seat.Will be very curious to see you what they renovations look like once completed. I have heard that they plan on serving alcoholic beverages at the theater. That remains to be seen.But the theaters are always clean with very friendly attendance to serve you refreshments. And they are always very helpful an eager to answer any questions that you may have.

Dine in service is super slow. We showed up 35 minutes early and did not get our food until after the movie started. This is the 2nd time this happened. Lobby and bathrooms were kind of messy. Movie was quiet. Not sure if the sound quality was bad or if the people in the theater were too loud

Theater is great. I been to every type of movie showing available. Im also a AMC Premier Member. So that skip the lines for tickets and snack is clutch when Im running a little late. The seating is good weither its a regular viewing, IMAX, or Dobe Digital. Stadium seating is available. I have never had a bad experience here. I also really enjoy the staff. Thank you for always making my visits grand.

Usually one of my favorite movie theaters and I like the new seats even pardoning the mess from the construction. However, they have recently seemed to be understaffed. I happen to be an AMC premiere member but there is no point in getting in the premiere line for faster service because there is only one person in the booth selling tickets. Also the ticket machines outside are not working. I do have the AMC app and could have ordered my tickets online except the movie time was 4:15 yesterday but today it was listed at 4pm. Still wanna love this theater especially since they have renovated with all new seats but the customer service has to be redone as well!

Waste of time driving here, could have went to mich closer theater. For dine in you have to order your food before going in and they bring it to you. Chairs were comfortable but not worth the 25 minute drive there for me.
